I hate those types of games... IGT have done some too. Some players like them, I'm sure. I don't.
Is there any reason? Im just curious because the casino host and the tech also ask me why don't I choose other games to play, but always stick to the same game all the time... They see me there whenever I visit...

Honestly, I just don't like them. The progressives look like they should be easy to win, but they aren't. There are much better games with much better ways to win progressive bonuses out there.

What's your take on this "lightning link" game? I see many play there too and the price of 180k drops every week...

Am I right to say the key difference between progressive and non progressive machines are mainly better odds and payout, but in a non progressive it's a bit more boring due to the lack of the thrill of hitting the progressive? I'm just wondering why there are so little non progressives at the casinos...

The trend at the moment is towards progressive games. Mainly started by Lightning Link, which remains one of the best games of recent times and often copied and iterated on by other manufacturers. I would play that over Quadshit any day of the week...

After your inputs, I am going to step out and explore. I don't know if lightning link is volatile in MBS, but honestly in my few attempts at it ice not had any luck of even free games, in spite of betting big... Which brings me to the following questions I hope you can help...

1) these machines, do they get tight and not pay until they have amassed a fixed level of funds from other players?
2) do I have a better chance of winning the progressive with big or max bets, or should I just bet max lines and min bets and enjoy the time? I'm getting demoralized with lack of winning lol... It's sending me a message to go back to the table but it's boring without my friends. Somehow dealers don't smile and going one against them is not exactly enjoyable.
3) how many spins does it take to tell if a machine is tight and when to move on to other games? Is 100 spins a good gauge?
4) how would you manage bankroll and make sure you go home with some money?

Thanks mate!

The Free Games on Lightning Link products (and similar) never pay well. Or very rarely. They are just a different means to get to the coin feature - which is the one you want.

To answer you questions...

1. They are all random... it makes no difference how much money it has taken before you, the chance of every win is the same on every credit.
2. On games with progressives you are more likely to win the higher value ones the higher you bet, but even so, you should avoid chasing jackpots. Play at a bet level that is comfortable for you and stick to it... don't chase.
3. Machines dont go tight or loose... they are random. They can FEEL tight or loose, but they are not doing it on purpose... that's just statistics for you. That said, if you are having a dead spell, just move on. And of course the opposite is true!
4. The only way to go home with some money is to not gamble it all away ;) I personally set my stake to 1/100 of my bankroll and see what happens.
