William Hill PLC (William Hill) and Playtech Limited (Playtech) jointly announce that they have today reached an amicable resolution of their dispute relating to Playtech's interests in William Hill Online. As a consequence, the parties are applying for the injunction secured by William Hill against certain Playtech group companies to be discharged and the related court hearing scheduled for next week to be vacated with the court's permission.

In arriving at this resolution, including the discharge of the injunction, the exit provisions of the existing shareholders agreement have been confirmed to the parties' satisfaction, including William Hill's call option rights exercisable in early 2013 and 2015.

In addition, the parties have agreed to certain changes to the agreement which grant greater flexibility to their respective operations, including William Hill Online, and which may open up further commercial opportunities for the parties. These include increased flexibility for William Hill Online to provide betting services to William Hill's Retail business and the cancellation of the sole restriction regarding Playtech's ability to license its software, which restriction related to a UK land-based gambling operator. The existing restrictions on UK Marketing Services provision remain in place, running through to the first call option date.

As reported in William Hill's preliminary results announcement on 25 February 2011 and first quarter Interim Management Statement on 21 April 2011, the performance of William Hill Online remains strong.

In all fairness william hill + playtech = waste of space.

The good times with william hill online have gone. The days when you could print off your winnings on a bit of paper and take it to the bookies to cash it in.

Or even the days with the decent games.. "Sheerluck Holmes" was my favourite of all time

I think that many players appreciates William Hill. They have a wide selection of gambling opportunities. But I think that their CS is terribly slow and quite bad.
But in all fairness, incompetent CS can be found in almost every casino these days. Especially if you use "Live chat".

As for the WH vs Playtech dispute. I think it is good news that they have reached an agreement.

In general, it is important for "Playtech"-fans to have stable and good places to play.

Previously before william hill becoming a playtech casino the support wasnt half as bad and there was never any problems really.

In fact I had a problem with playtech william hill a year or 2 back, Took ages to be paid, support were useless etc.

For me it tarnished the william hill name and they should of kept to how things were before.... who wants to wait a week or so for payout? when you can print off the winnings and get paid in cash when you take it to 1 of their bookies

Playtech hire a new finance director who vows to "bring an openness to the business" and stand up to Teddy Sagi, Playtech's Israeli founder who has 40.4pc of the shares.

"The role of Teddy has to be managed. I think I can manage that," he said.

I wonder if he can influence speeding up the long withdrawal delays (standard 4 days pending) of the majority of Ptech casinos to the same level as the fast cash out times of UK bookmaker Playtech casinos.

That would be good.

Agree with Sparkz - I used to use Will Hill for everything from sports to casino but the culture shift seems geared to do everything they can to make a customer deposit and not cashout.

Love Playtech software but why would you play Will Hill when you can play the same games at Tote, Betfred or Bet365 and get your money pretty much straight away when you win?
