So some of you may know already that Casinomeister formed a "Slots Focus Group" comprised of some of our highly regarded experienced members a short while ago to test and feed back on a new game from Leander Games called "Afterlife: Inferno". It's a high variance slot game with free spin features and the feedback was fantastic: some of the suggestions ended up in the final game and the members of the group even got mentioned in the game credits!

The game itself is based on Dante's 14th century literary masterpiece "Inferno", a fascinating account of the poets' dark and disturbing journey through the 7 circles of Hell. If you haven't heard of it and you have a fascination with what happens after you die, you should really check it out...

Meister moderator Simmo! was asked to conceptualise the game: "Leander approached me in 2016 with the idea of getting experienced players involved in the making of games and I jumped at the chance. It was really interesting and eye-opening to see what goes into the development of a game and watch it evolve." He has

if you are interested.

Afterlife: Inferno is a "High Variance" slot and if there is still anyone here that doesn't yet understand how important that is to your enjoyment of a game, the article above also gives you some valuable insight.

THE COMPETITION

Anyway, to celebrate the launch, Casinomeister has teamed up with 3 casinos to run a competition where you can win a 3-day break* in Dante's stunningly beautiful birthplace of Florence in Italy (or a cash prize of £500) along with a number of smaller prizes for the best screenshots posted over the course of the competition.

The competition consist of a series of "micro-competitions" which will each run for 2 or 3 days. Each micro-competition will be posted in this thread (so bookmark it and keep a careful eye out!) with it's start date and end date and a prize of between £50 and £100 will be awarded for the best win from real-money play at any of the following 3 casinos (the reason it's limited to 3 is because these casinos have agreed to verify the date and time of winning screenshots for Casinomeister).

1) SlotsMillion
2) Videoslots
3) Betsson

The first micro-competition starts today - details in the next post!!!

The main prize will be awarded to the player who has the most micro-competition wins at the end of the series (June 10th). Each micro-win will be verified by the casino to ensure it fell between the qualification dates.

HOW TO PLAY / RULES

Play "Afterlife: Inferno" for real money during the period of the competition at any one of the casinos listed above. To take part, post your best screenshot in this thread within the time frame specified for the micro-competition you are entering. The "best win" is based on the stake multiplier (win/stake) not the overall amount won so it's fair for everyone (IE: If you bet $1 and win $10.50, the win is regarded as 10.5x)

The main prize will go to the player who wins the most micro-competitions. The main prize of a break in Florence can only be won by players who signed up to Casinomeister before 22nd May 2018.

All wins must be accompanied by a screenshot that shows the total win so get those fingers ready! The unique "Play ID" must be visible in the screenshot so that we can verify the win and the screenshot must be posted to this thread at the latest by 23:59 (your time) on the closing date of each micro-competition to qualify.

Any player who attempts to post a winning screenshot for a micro-competition from a win made outside of the qualifying times stated for that micro-competition will be disqualified from this promotion.

PRIZE NOTES

Cash prizes can only be paid by Paypal or Neteller. Payments will be made in GBP once we have received verification from the casino that the winning screenshot was made in the qualifying period for each micro-competition and you will be responsible for any currency fees applied if you have a non-GBP Paypal or Neteller account.

* The "Main prize" of a 3 day break includes 3 nights b&b in a hotel (tba) in Florence for 2 people sharing a double or twin room, to be booked before September 1st 2018 and taken between September 1st 2018 and June 30th, 2019. Flights are included up to a maximum value of £250 (the prize winner may opt to book their own flights and receive £250 towards the cost). The maximum value of this prize is £500 (GBP). The winner may choose to take the cash equivalent (£500), payable via Paypal or Bank transfer. The decision of Casinomeister is final.

Is the Purgatory feature the one where the multiplier goes up by 1 every time you get a win? If so I just had that feature and it went for £49.57 on 20p play. Didn't take a screenshot because I hadn't read this thread yet. Ah bollocks.

Unfortunately, yes that is the feature Lemon. But on the bright side, at least you got nearly 250x out of it :)

Did hit the feature and it paid a measley 3x :(

Did just hit a nice win on the Hell Freezes Over feature after my first time triggering it though.

Afterlife Inferno - 204x - Slotsmillion.jpg

Played this game a few times now and I have to say it's my favourite release of the year so far.

None of that eat 150x pay you back 20x bullshit. There is some genuine potential in this game and it's achievable to hit. I see alot of games out there from providers that have a top paying symbol of say 100x and it probably gets hit every 50,000 spins. I'm taking Gonzo's Quest for example. Never hit the top paying symbol ever and as usual with NotEnt, whatever potetnial is on display will never be hit.

Play and Go have Wizard of Gems. The biggest possible win on this absoulte shite is 6250x. The only possible way to achieve this is to trigger the freespins and retrigger them up to the maximum of 50 spins. On each and every spin you must get to the 5x multplier and hit the top paying symbol on every win. That is impossible to achieve, so why include it? This type of gimmick pisses me off to no end.

You look at games like Immortal Romance and whatever is there on the paytable gets hit with regularity and that's why people enjoy microgaming; because what the paytable displays is achievable. Same thing with Afterlife Inferno. No gimmicks, No shit; and not NotEnt.

Anyway, side rant over. I believe the 5 wilds on this has already been hit on the Hell Freezes Over feature and it's been out what? 2 weeks max? Tells you all you need to know

Great Game!

I foresee that this will be a very very popular slot..
I will 100% go and play this next week when I can refund my monthly slots bankroll ^^
I have seen Dunovers review and this slot really does appeal to me.

Already pushed it a bit for VS on Twitter.. :D

Great Game!

Lucky Loser with a win of 8,316x and it was within 2 hours of release, not 2 weeks LOL. There will be plenty of those 3x wins you just hit to make up for it though, Chipkin :D

Yea that was the one. Great hit for LuckLoser and so soon after release.

And yes, I've already been on the end of a few of those 3-5x bonuses  :D

But at least 150x + ones are thrown in there...If this was a NotEnt release every bonus would be 5-20x. Bin those slots I say!

Oh and I believe you were somewhat involved with this one Simmo! in some capacity so let me just say thanks and well done on it

Just thought i would say thanks to CM and Simmo for the competitions.

Okay i tried this game yesterday. Was bored at work as things were so quiet so did something i do not normally do and deposited £20 at VS on phone.

Saw the new game and thought better try it since you took the effort to create it.

This was in morning before this comp was added.

Anyway on minimum bet i played it for about an hour. Bonuses were quite frequent although i always took the free spins with sticky wild . Best win on free spins was about £40.

Also got two of the freeze over features. First gave a wild on last reel and paid zero. Second gave first three reels wild and paid £40.

Anyway balance was up and down and eventually left it at £60 a £40 profit as needed to actually do some work lol.

So i actually quite enjoyed the game and it was better playing it than it looked in the review. Tho i know it is a HV game but certainly played like LV in the session as every time the balance started dropping it either gave a bonus or a couple of pound base win. No huge wins but profit in end after the hour.

Will try it again

UPDATE:

Today is the last day
for this first micro-comp (best hit on the "Purgatory" feature) - Tirilej is currently winning the £100 with 175.2x.

ok i tried it yesterday at slotsmillion and here are my thoughts, after 1,200 or so spins.

you guys got the feature variance wrong :p purgatory seems like the highest volatile feature

Had 5 of those, my biggest win was around 20x. the rest was 6x, 4x and around 10x twice. So my average win is under 10x. I know its a small sample but for supposedly lower variance feature it sure looks odd. On the other hand i had 2x of the other 2 features and 1st one paid 110x and 62x. Last one, with sticky wild paid around 90x twice.

I think Purgatory feature variance comes from game being unable to produce 5OAK of anything so even at 11x multi its going to pay peanuts if you get like 3 jacks or whatever. In well over 1000 spins, i had 5 OAK of J once, in base game. And thats it. I know base game had to suffer because of IR feature :)P) and decent free spins payouts, but if you dont get either this slot can be very brutal. At one point i played 100 autospins with biggest win in those 100 spins being 6x win, which was my only win over 5x in that run.

Started at 30, peaked at 90 thanks to few quick features but once they dried so did my balance, playing on 20-40c spins i went from 90 to 15 very quickly :p

also loving the extra wild thing in frozen hell thingy, it really keeps you on your toes even if you get only 1 wild reel and thats something other games with similar features are definitely missing.

All in all its a decent slot, that can be (too) brutal at times and i guess i tried it at the wrong time (because of the promo) so i had to choose what i feel is the worst of 3 features so i might give it a shot every now and then.

also not sure if thats new or not, but on Slotsmillion you could use quickspin and stopspin too.

i only have screenie of my 6x win on purgatory so i guess im not going to post that one :=P

Well, I had another crack at it yesterday but no luck this time. Got features but all were way below my best and Tirilej's score.

Still like the game, had a three reeler Wild feature again but this time it did not drop a Wild when the spin stopped and only paid 14x bet.

Cashback at VS is coming in a few hours, so will give it another go. :)
