As I always accumulate stats after a playing session, I just wanted to spread the "news" a little bit since I posted some nice winning shots last night. Infact I was very lucky last night and had some great wins, however
the luch turned very fast. I thought I was upto almost 9000, however looking more into the stats I see it was 8000 - seems I missed a thousand there... However, the moral of this post is for you people next time you win
big on a MG casino - please I tell you - get the hell out! The software will penalize you bigtime, I was just not aware on how cold the software can turn on you! The scoreboard for 7880, thats my bank right after my last win
which was the Inca Gold win - posted in winnin shots.

I also floor the cash result numbers, so 1.9 becomes 1. Also, the below results are 8 hours of play, and the play is mostly done on 5-10 wagering.

Have fun - and be very glad the 7880 worth below wasnt yours, now they are back into Casino Classic pockets, :D

Bold on the few wins that matter, the other wins I dont really count as wins. (gaining 50 I dont count as a win)

These figures would be far more meaningful if the number of spins taken was included. You should also calculate the overall payout over all the slots, based on amount wagered, not won/lost - this should come close to 95% with a large enough number of spins.
I have noticed cetain slots appear to exhibit certain behaviours when cold. Munchkins, one of my favourites, often gives plenty of bonus rounds, but sometimes goes stone cold, during which the scatters all but disappear, and when they do appear, it is only one at a time, whereas if it has warmed up they appear in pairs quite frequently.
I have also noticed that when appearing singly, and then a bonus round comes in, it is crap, as the scatters rarely come in pairs, and reel wins are sparse, often only 3 in a row, which pays poorly.
The "run like hell" signal for Munchkins seems to be the bonus round that comes with retriggers, followed by the sudden fall in the frequency of scatters. This often starts a sequence of 300 to 600 bonus round free spins, during which the reel wins determine how severe the bankroll gets hit.
The "up yer bet" signal on Munchkins is plenty of paired scatters, and decent reel wins, or after a first poor bonus round after 400+ spins without one, and with the frequency of scatters sharply increased.
Similar patterns seem to emerge at the other slots. Occasionally the signals turn out wrong, but they are right more often than they should be, given that the games are "random".

I could go on forever with examples like those given by VWM
Unfortunately in my experience changing slot, logging out etc makes no difference.

I have raised the wuestion earlier regarding MG - Do you play on 180+ games or do you play on 1 game with 180+ skins? Changing sessions does not work either, the last 4500 above was played todag - the day after i won. So apparently 1 day later doesn't get you out of the "penalize" mode after a win.

Doh! If I use my brain a little, since the casino has 48hours pening on withdrawals - I would guess that the "penalize" period atleast lasts for 48 hours. That makes perfectly sence! 3 Days I would think and you are back on track.

Personally I think that is a very pertinent question and we all have our own theories.
Of course we do not have to play but wouldn't it be nice to really know with absolute certainty?
I would love to have a nice long browse through the code, so RTG/MG just pop me a copy on disk ;)

Did you still cashout anything Kimss? Are you the same guy/gal who started that thread a year or so ago "How to blow 5K in one evening?" That was a good thread. If that was you, I thought you quit gambling?

In any event, I sure hope that you didn't give everything back to the casino and that you still have some money coming to you via cashout?

I hate stories like this, if you did lose it all. I'd be so sick if I ever blew back that kind of money....I think it would finish me gambling for good.

Yepp, thats me, :D And I'm sorry to say there is 0 in the balance, nothing to show for. Nothing left, I blew it all back! Could be a new thread, how to blow almost 8000 in an evening, :D Seems I beat my own record there... huh...

I did stop gambling, meaning I banned myself with Ecogra for a year - then I came back and have wagered away around 15,000 euroes since february. Looking at this post it's no wonder... My problem is obviously not living through the pending withdrawal method. I must admit landbased casinoes are much better, and probably what I should get back to. Cash is king - somthing that doesn't work online it seems... (I did withdraw 7000! So I should have had that, but reverse withdrawal blows!) As Slotster said in another thread, "Go mental the next day"... Weeee....

Man, that sucks Kimss. Sorry to hear it. If you don't want to quit altogether, maybe you should at least play at a casino that will flush, and pays the next day. You may have been able to save something out of it. Try and stay away from the ones that leave your withdrawal sitting in the cashier for 48 hours.

Seems I posted wrong session earlier, here is the correct session which I started the thread with. Attached is also a HTML file, with TXT extension for those who would want that version.

And for the total correct payout % that would be:

22305.14 / 30186.35 = 73.89% - Even Worse!

That leaves me with Spin Palace and 32Red - those are the ones which I know will flush on request, and they really go the extra mile for their customers! (Well, I mostly know Spin Palace, great people there)

Yeah that would help and Simmo makes a good suggestion on his site that you should keep making withdrawals each time you hit. That way the money is out of your balance.
Winning big and losing it all is always worse than just losing IMO and any gambler will have had that horrible empty feeling you get the next Day after a sleepless night of replaying it all like a reccuring bad dream.

I only wager pennies these days but I have found I can still get a buzz from the slots.
I have slowly decreased my deposit and bet sizes so that I am not now playing in the hope of winning big but just for the thrill of trying to beat the odds.
I know though most people gamble because it is the risk that gives them the kick so you need to be able to kid yourself a little that it matters more than it does.

Im sure some of you out thre have great interest in accual wagering, so here are some stats from Spin Palace sessions from February 2 -> February 17 this year. I had to split the image in 3 due to the filesize limit.

As you might see from theese stats, some wagering amounts has a far bigger payout rate than others. Which - again - has nothing todo with RNG... hmmm... I have all theese stats lying around also some mighty stats from Spin Palace last year when I really spun the wheels! Clearly some wagering coinsizes sticks out - again, should be happening really...

It is impossible to make any judgement on those stats as the data size is far too small.
What would be easier to read and perhaps more telling would be the payout % from each deposit.

So if a deposit of 100 had a 300% payout you would obviously of made a wthdrawal of 300
We could then see if there was any pattern such as low payout on a deposit following a withdrawal etc.

The data might look like this (where X is the deposit amount)

02.08.06 deposit X payout 300%

05.08.06 deposit X payout 65%

06.08.06 deposit X payout 82%

30.08.06 deposit X payout 90%

month 08.06 total deposit x total payout %

We could also check Month to Month by including the Monthly totals.

The deposit amounts do not need to be shown for the sake of privacy.

If people would supply me with data files I could easily accumulate nice graphs and stats for all of us to really tear down the RNG in MG, or proove it as infact truly RNG. It would be a fun mission, after all - we are playing with our own har money here!

I could easily upgrade my little script to take care of sessions and such, and calculate whatever stats you might fint interesting. Just give me a headsup or something if this sounds interesting, could be really fun!

Surely I would treat all data as anonymous when presented, however you would show me you accual loosings or winnings (hey man, I already shown my badass losses, LOL).

Oki, :D

Now that's a project!

Why do I feel like so many people would rather eat a virtual steak than eat real slops though?

Just hope you don't see any Guys in suits and shades show up at you door any time soon Kimiss

If you play 32Red, email support (or PM Pat Harrison through this board) and ask them to remove the pending period. It should be possible now with MG though when Pat and I tested a while back it it didn't stick. Alternatively, they will set it to 1 hour for you. That works for me. Spin Palace *may* do this for you but they didn't used to. And see https://www.casinomeister.com/how-to/how-to-manage-your-gambling-budget/ in case you missed it.

Cheers

Simmo!

I would be interested in how these stats are ripped from Playcheck. It's a huge pain, while cut 'n' paste is OK, it becomes impossible for large data sizes of several thousand spins, which is just what would be needed for a decent analysis.
My bank and credit cards let me download my statements into a form that can be fed into software (Excel, Works, etc), but casinos seem to do their best to make it as hard as possible by making their displays incompatable with most Windows retrieval options, such as "select all + copy"; "paste". All format is lost when pasting, as the Playcheck table structure is not recognised. Also, Playcheck is prone to crash when attempting to copy large sessions, and it is only possible to return to page one and scroll through (risking yet another crash).

I went here straight from the top 5 stats, so missed the new thread where kimss spills the beans on this with the PHP scripts.
I always thought of this possibility, but lacked the PHP knowledge to pull it off.

It's true that when you copy the PlayCheck logs into text format, the tabs (column separators) become spaces, similar to copying table text from a PDF.

But what works best for me is to copy the data from PlayCheck and paste it into Excel (use the paste button or Ctrl+V - do not use Paste Special unless you select HTML format). It's a pain in the ass when there are 50+ pages to copy and paste, but once you have all your data in there (it will look crappy but that's okay), copy it all from Excel and paste it into Notepad (this preserves the tabs), then copy everything from Notepad and paste it back into a new Excel sheet. Now you can delete the column with "View" and you have nice clean data that you can fiddle with.

Let me be plain and hard once. Sorry ... but: for me this is nothing but paranoia. ok: i could say: frustration of a player, who has lost money. Why do we have to discuss such stuff, which has no substance?
we have Michael Shackleford, if we take that seriously, but obviously none of us take it seriously.
we really should switch the theme and discuss tomorrows weather.

I think the idea is cool if one wants to analyze one's own data - but if you accumulate data from various sources basically no sound conclusion can be drawn because you have no way of verifying that the data is complete - for example, I could send you only my bad sessions just to skew the data.

Truegambler had the right idea a few years ago when he built the screen scraper to analyze all blackjack data rather than relying on selective sets of data being sent to him. Sadly, the project failed because the software was not able to distinguish accurately between an Ace and a Four - so even the removal of these tiny bits of data made the project useless and inaccurate.

frustration of a player who has lost money

Totally. The natural tendency of a lot of people (myself included at times) is to blame the game/RNG/price of gas/cosmic climate/whatever after a bad losing streak, instead of blaming oneself for feeling invincible after a winning streak, getting carried away with large bets, or a combination of the two.

I definitely have to agree with Mike. I'm not ragging on those of you who want to analyze your sessions, but if I started doing that, it would take all the fun out of it for me. I just put my money in and play. If I get lucky and win, that's just a bonus. More often than not, I lose.

And let's not forget, there are the sessions where you say you have an overall payout of say 75%, for example. What about the times when you put in $50 and turn it into a few grand? What's the payout then? 1000%? It's all about knowing when to stop, if you do happen to get lucky. Common sense, logic and the House Edge will tell you that if you keep playing for long enough, you will lose your winnings AND your original deposit.

Even though the advice "After winning at MG, get the hell out" is given on false premises, it is still good advice that should be applied on all casinos after a big win. If tou still feel the urge to play - withdraw everything but a hundred bucks or so.

"It's worse to have won and lost it than to haven't won at all."
