hello i dont want to name names so i wont.
i deposited £50 into a on line casino and gladly accepted their welcome bonus(very generous). I started playing roullete.i won about £800 which i tried to withdraw but a messege saying i had to playthrough the rest of my bonus before i could withdraw.i went back to the roullete to complete the playthrough which i did.but whilst completing the playthrough i won, quite alot (alot to me anyway) about £3000. after dancing around the room for about ten minutes. i decided to withdraw £2100 and have a little play on their other games. which i did and won a further £2000. which i withdrew.thinking its a bit late to get this money before cristmas i wonder how long it will take to get it into my account.i phoned customer services asked how long it would take. the loverly lady asked if i could hold a second while she checked something, which i did. when she came back on the phone she said there was a problem. and i had broken the stake limit and i would have to playthrough any winnings derived from the original bonus, which they say is 4881, 100 times before i can withdraw. This would mean i have to playthrough £488100. can anyone give me any advice because this means i would have to playthrough my original stake nearly 10000 times before i can withdraw anything. this sounds very unreasonable.
ps
sorry if this does not make any sense i am quite confused myself

You read the terms before playing? Because probably you will find in terms something about stake limits..

Hi Curly, welcome to the forum! :)

I only know of one casino (group) that has this rule in their bonus T&Cs.
You seem to be surprised by their decision, that leads me to think you didn't read the rules or terms of the bonus before claiming it.

For every bonus (at any casino) there are rules you have to adhere to, to be able to cash out any winnings.
There may be limits as to what games you're allowed to play, or how much you can bet on each spin (or hand).
It seems you have broken the latter. Most casinos would confiscate your winnings for "breaking the rules", but the casino in question has taken a different approach. They are still prepared to give you a chance of cashing out, by wagering winnings from rounds in breach of the "contract", a 100 times.

For details on your case, you could try contacting the forum representative of the casino. They should be on this list:

It is not uncommon for casinos to have terms that limit bets to a percentage of the original deposit or bonus. For instance at 32Red, bets on the Welcome bonus are limited to:

There is a maximum stake of 6.25 Chips (or coin equivalent) per bet until the playthrough requirement has been met. For the purposes of this rule a Bet is defined as one roulette spin or one dealer's dealt hand in any table game, or one deal in any Video or Power Poker game (this includes Multi-Hand/Play games).

I've seen it expressed as a percent of the deposit, eg. 25 or 30% elsewhere.

Some T&C's will confiscate the bonus and all winnings, leaving you only your original deposit. Rogue outfits may confiscate your deposit too.

I don't know if it's 32Red you played at, but they offer the 100x playthrough as opposed to confiscation of bets made in contravention of their bonus limits, which is why I chose them as an example.

I wish you sincere luck in achieving playthrough.

£488 100 it's a huge playthrough..but at last you can have a nice play with £4881. If I was in this this situation ..I prefer this way , not the confiscation of the winnings. :)

4881x100= 488100 on slots without breaching max bet rule again cant be any fun. In the end you just lose your deposit (98-99 times out of 100) and are aware of it.

I sincerely doubt it. After all, it's only winnings subject to the increased WR.

Some casinos void all play for restricted bets. So could cancel winnings from other games as well.

Here, if you made a couple of $10 (for instance) bets that lost, then dropped back down to $5, you might never have known.

You haven't mentioned the casino, but try PMing the rep if they have one https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/members/?key=staff_members

Maybe they can work something out for you. Even returning your original deposit and bonus for you to try to complete the SUB observing the bet limits without such an enormous WR might be preferrable. It can't hurt to ask.

Most certainly not. You could still try sending a PM to PatH (https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/members/) as from the post I linked, this is assuming this happened at 32Red:

We have chosen not to utilise the restrictions on bet size (within the casino software) as we don’t want to put any unnecessary barriers in the way of the true entertainment oriented gamblers. Our belief is that the first time experience of such an individual would surely be tainted when they attempt to place, say, a £50 bet and the software prevents them from so doing and displays a less than friendly error message. This is a moment of truth for a new player to 32Red and we want the experience to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

We do have a limit on stakes in place for play with our Welcome Bonus and this limit is only ever imposed when it comes to a player who is undoubtedly and systematically attempting to gain an advantage through bonus play and is implemented at the point of cash-in.

I trust that you see our reasons, for failing on two of the suggested criteria, as being valid and I look forward to seeing how this debate on Casino Standards unfolds.

Kind regards
Pat
