Intriguing...
Yesterday I came across another email address listed for Acropolis:
enquiries@stanleycasinos.com
I sent the following email:
"
Hi, I opened an account at this online casino in early Feb. 2006.
My primary question is, has this casino recently changed ownership/management?
I have been noticing problems and 'odd' things about this casino. I have emailed the support email address listed on the casino interface to no avail.. no response to date.
I have not been able to access the "Progressive" games for over a month now..keeps saying 'server busy'.
No online chat (customer service) available.
For the first couple of days that I had this account open, customer service contact, promptness and service was superb.
It has taken a drastic turn since then. Many other players that have an account at this casino agree.
Please respond/provide any information possible, that may help me bring closure to this, and stop 'wondering'. I will not make any further deposits until some of these issues have been resolved. Your response will be greatly appreciated.
If it is no longer under ownership of "Stanley Entertainment", please be advised that the current website is STILL taking credit for Stanley Entertainment's superb reputability, history, and naming Stanley Entertainment as the owner within their current legal documentation and end-user agreements.
Thank you very much for your help in this matter."
I did not receive a reply, but after seeing this post and confirming for myself (I was able to connect to Progressives for the first time since all the confusion), I would hope this email may have had something to do with it. Regardless, at least it looks like there is significant progress with this issue.
I found the email address at this link:

When viewing the page, I did find it odd that (when you click on "Details" for Acropolis Casino), it does not list a casino owner and more detailed information, as it does for the other casinos searchable via this website. I also wondered about the list of email addresses for this casino included one for "Avalon Casinos", which redirects you to the Acropolis page. I then looked into this.. and found this (although a little dated) info on the web:
"
Avalon Casinos was licensed by the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica, to commence its Internet gaming operations in 1996. This license was superseded by a further license granted to Avalon's new owners, Advanced Technologies Ltd. a wholly owned subsidiary of Stanley Leisure Plc. in Jan 2000."
Finally, I got really concerned when I saw this when clicking on their "Acropolis Slots Club" link:
Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)
"
It is with regret that the Acropolis Slots club has been closed.
For a whole range of bonuses and promotions for all players, make sure you visit www.acropoliscasinos.com"
I thought that for a loyalty club to close "with regret", something negative (i.e. customers closing their accounts) may have happened.
But after seeing the post that the Progressives were up and running, brings somewhat of a sigh of relief

, although there are still a lot of mysteries as to why the whole thing transpired in the first place, and still a need for more info on the delays/ownership issues.
At least this is a BIG first step!
