Tweaked the forum software so that now acronyms are a mystery no more. So when people post things like RTP, rtg, snafu, WOL, CM or GG, you know what they are talking about.

Sometimes we're discussing fobt or tsII, LotR, - and newbies haven't a clue what these are. They are probably thinking, "FU - this place is effed up".

If there are acronyms you'd like to see defined, please post them in this thread. ty.

TRTP Theoretical return to player.
RTP return to player.
50AK 5-of-a-kind.
IIRC if I recall correctly.
IMO in my opinion.
TFTUT Turd from the unflushed toilet AKA Creature from the black Lagoon
TS2 Thunderstruck 2
TR1 Tomb Raider 1 or 2
DoA Dead Or Alive
CM The site itself
FU Term = self explanatory
WTF? What the F
RR Raging Rhino
DRATT = Didn't read all the terms.

TBH -to be honest
FTR - for the record
gmta - great minds think alike
afair -(like 'if i recall correctly' - as far as i recall/remember)
btw - by the way
op - original post(er)
ftw - f the world
fml - f my life
pm - private message
nsfw - not safe for work
smh - shaking my head
jk - just kidding

I have a deep hatred for IDK. Some phrases weren't meant to be acronyms. I fear that someday everybody will talk in acronymese...or as I call it, lazyspeak.

I have no issue with it on Twitter. Just not in front of your PC on a message board.

Probably being picky and it may be because I am on iPhone, but are the abbreviations smaller than the rest of the paragraph? May need a CSS tweak Bryan.

PS I hope this doesn't meant the forum is full of txt spk moving forward, I am too old for that. :)

Edit: Actually these don't work on a mobile device, I presume they work on hover? Tried hovering my finger over the phone and it didn't work. :)

LOL - now my testing drone is answering messages. :p

I have to work out the problem with the ampersand & - it's being regarded as a special character I think.

Is + an alternative? Or maybe just use A as an abbreviation for "and".

So Terms And Conditions could be either TAC's/TACs or T+C's/T+Cs

Yeah, that may be a future endeavour - to get it to function properly on a phone. And no worries, we aren't switching to txt spk. :p The thing is, there are abbreviations that are industry focused that you won't see elsewhere like LotR, RTP, WR, and FU clause. I need a guide for the newbies. :D
