Saw their ad on TV tonight and was bored, so I decided to check it out.

Started in with their "Blackjack tutorial" and came across this little gem. There were other instances such as taking insurance on BJ vs BJ, taking insurance for the dealer showing an ace, splitting when you're not supposed to, etc.

Why bother having this up? All they're doing is giving a tutorial on how to lose. Err wait, maybe that's what they want to do.

I saw the advertisment as well, it is so border line illegal I am surprised that the network allowed it run... 888 out and out advertises gambling on American TV.

Way to go 888... Just keep giving the folks that want to outlaw online gambling more ammo to use against us. I don't think these assholes at 888 care about anything other than filling their own pockets as fast as they can... Once a scum bag always a scumbag...

Winbig,

Did they recommend that you double on 3+7 or did you do it yourself?

In the "tutorial" mode, it gives you predefined hands to supposedly teach you how to play. You have no option to do "what you want". That's why the hit button is hilighted. They're making it seem that you're supposed to hit 13 vs a dealer's 5.

What really got me too was the fact that when you got out of the tutorial and went to "fun" mode. If you're dealt a soft 17 vs 8-10|face and click "hit", it pops up a box asking you if you're SURE you want to hit 17. This too will raise the HA pretty good if you are not hitting those soft 17s.

This is totally rediculous.

Actually if you ever watch WSOP or any other gambling related show, you'll see quite a few casinos advertised, only with the .net extension which is their "free play" site.

I went through 888.info with a fine toothed comb, and I couldn't find any mention of real money play, so I'm really wondering how they're making money off this...there has to be some kind of angle they're working.

Well they probably get a lot of people who go to 888.com misremembering the commercial, no matter what they have up at 888.info.
