Hi all,
This is my first post so bear with me, please.
My name is Peter and just contact you as I need advice, please.
The short cut story is that the same I was registered with Gamstop in June(6 months) and due to my father's past away recently I start gambling again. I managed somehow to register an account with 888 casinos when no other casino would accept me. I start to deposit than received an email saying that my deposit hasn't been approved due to some interdiction on my account and to call them to sort out this. I didn't call them but then in an hour looking again in my account I've seen that the deposit actually been approved(I only deposit 100). My account hasn't been check, no id been requested.
I start to play and start to lose and deposit 200 which went ok. But when tried to deposit 500 the deposit didn't go straight away, looking at my bank account app actually my money didn't go so I start to deposit again 500, again didn't go tried about 4 times and the same. I did stop and after two hours lo in again to my account I've seen 2000. First I thought it was a bonus, to be honest, but looking at my bank app 2000 gone out of my account.
I lost them in a couple of minutes and again tried to deposit but now gone even to 1000 the same money would go after a few hours in my account. So I lost around 5000 in that night. My app also been blocked and did tried to what been happened but couldn't know. I only say that I am a stupid man who can't control himself.

After two days on my brother's advice contact them on Chat and ask them to help me get my deposits back as I read on their website that they promote Gambling Protection and are registered with Gamstop. I also ask them to close my account and inform them that I register with Gamstop from June. Then the lady from the chat provides me an email, I think is the support team and advice to write them an email. She said that she cant help me. She did close my account and withdraw the 334 left from my account.

It's a week since I first email them and after I wrote several emails but didn't receive any response back. Why they don't want to respond to me. This is killing me, I start to have suicidal thoughts about this all.
What Can I do? Are any chances to get my money back? For many maybe are not a lot this 5K but for me are the economies for the last 5 years.
The Gamstop details are the same use on 888 account, date, address, email, name, etc.
Does anybody get money back from them?

Please let me know if you need any other information.

Many Thanks,
Petrica Negru

Hi,

You need to get a copy of your Gamstop registration first and then you may need Gamstop to email it direct to 888. If there is an issue you may be able to recover deposits, but Gamstop do say that it is the players responsibility to ensure they do not attempt to open accounts. There is a chance of recovering it only if there was a failing with 888s checks. Were you excluded from them before as well as Gamstop?

Hi EKJR,
Many thanks for your reply.
I do got a copy from the Gamstop which matching all the details from the 888 account. Yes, I have been excluded from them before as well. Though I will have to check for how long but didn't try to reopen my account. It was a poker account in which I received an email I will look at the old emails to see but I think the Operation team sent me an email last year and close my 888 poker account due to being self-excluded from another. I usually tend to exclude them for at list a year. I probably got at list 5 accounts which been closed with them. They didn't check me at all though did the pictures before I ask to close my account and on my phone number says VERIFY and on my email address says VERIFY with green.
Looking at the pictures on the deposits I've seen many with an X mark and some which I believed was approved one was thick with a green line that the deposit went through. Now I am talking about at list 15 deposits been rejected and between one with green that been accepted.

Thank you again.
Peter

The problem with 888 is they have so many licences, it’s difficult to keep track of which properties are theirs.

What they found was that my name was different from the one register with Gamstop, as instead of surname I put my first name and said they won't refund me.

I still don't want to give up as I am sure I was excluded from their website anyway. I received message after the first deposit saying that my account got problems and to contact them. My first deposit been approved after two hours. Than when tried to deposit I was blocked the transaction didn't been approved, than all been approved in block(4-5 deposit), something in their sistem told them about my problem but someone else overruled this. Sometimes they didn't even ask me to put the last three digits from the back and my deposit would be instantly approved by clicking the amount and deposit.
Now I wanted to contact and to do a claim with IBAS but they are register with IBAS. I already contact gambling comision and inform them about this all but they will not bring my money back.

Is about 5000 I am thinking to see if are any solicitors no win no fee to contracted.

Any advice please?

Well under the new verification rules you couldn't legally be allowed to gamble unless they had verified your name properly. Did you send them ID or anything? I'm pretty sure electronic verification does not work for a mistake like the above. If you can clarify above I'll try and help you.

No, they did not ask anything.
I will be frank with you all, I had at least 10-15 accounts open with 888(poker, casino, bingo) which all been closed. Operation and customer service been involved and send me emails that I am excluded from any of their sites. Two or three have been previously verified with KYC but closed due to saying that I was just wanted their bonus and discover an association with other accounts. I've done an account or two on each family member(5- 6 members) which all been discovered and closed around the network.
But the situation now was different, I think because they see I've done the first deposit of 200 pounds, followed by other big deposits and this spends happened in a matter of 6-7 hours.
Now, I am sure the system told them. As I said received a message that my account got a problem and to contact customer service( they gave me a number). So my deposit been in pending for an hour or two. Then when tried to deposit again my deposit hasn't been approved, desperation, and addiction play you and tried to deposit more and more but the same deposit would be approved after 15, 20m minutes.
The rest as you can read on my first comment on this topic.

I would be very grateful for any advice from you.

Many thanks,

Petrica Negru
