770 2161418- phone harassment

i have been getting these strange phone calls for about 1,5 months now. there is some "automatic" voice that tells me to call back for this number.

there is 2 or 3 phone calls coming every day. call shows no number where its coming from. it must be some automatic system that has my phone number attached cause those calls come at the same tim everyday.

itse very obvious that its some kind of scam and of course i havent called back to that number.

just started to wonder that is this number somehow related to some gaming site??? anyone know?? or anyone struggling with same kind of issue? google wasnt much of a help.

id REALLY like to get stop for getting these calls. same time im writing this there is another call coming

any help is very welcome here...im really pissed for this kind of bs!

depending on ur phone and software app, you can definitely just block the number or even matching numbers...... then the calls just get rejected automatically....

i have pretty new htc one x+ with latest android.

but all calls come from anonymous number so i dont see callers numbers...

The new thing for telemarketers is to now list a fake #. There are plenty of programs that allow Spoofed #'s or fake #'s to appear. THis is done because they figure more people will answer over having an "private" number show.

Aand I normally get about 5 telemarketing type calls at my numbers a day.

Is the 770 your own area code?

Awhile back on the news here they talked about a new phone scam. There would be an automatic message and it would ask for a call back to either a local call or a toll free number. If a person decided to call the number they'd either get a person who would keep putting them on hold, or get another long automatic blah blah about winning something or some other important thing and would be put on hold to wait to speak to a person. In the meantime though, the call was actually forwarded through a 900 number that was charging up to $14.95 a minute or some such. So finally the person would hang up in disgust, and then get a phone bill for $800.

The same idiots call our land line every frickin day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day.

I laugh because most times they say: "This is your last chance to take this great offer." Yet they continue to call and call and call.......

Anyone that knows us, know our cell numbers and calls us on those.

I don't even know why we keep the land line. Emergencies maybe?

This one robo call comes in talking, giving us the last part of a phone number because they are not smart enough to teach their "callers" to wait until after the message.

Annoying..........
