Sorry if I seemed a wise guy, I smiled, huh? It could have meant either thing to you :)

Is there more to go on than live chat being down? This can be any number of other problems.
Sorry if I offended you, I can have a laff at myself now and then, so I figure others can too. My bad.

Jetset, if you mean by your question whether 49ers is going to close down or not, well according to the live chat I had with them today they told me

yes we are closing.

Thanks - I'm assuming that this was a support rep answering a question from yourself, and he/she definitely said they were closing? Was a timeframe given?

So far, I have been unable to find any evidence of an affiliate notice or player email which usually precedes this sort of announcement.

We'll look into this further, but if you hear anything more please post it here.

I can't find anything about a shut-down anywhere on the site. I've asked management for a comment on this. More when I have it.

49ERS CASINO ONE OF THE GREATEST RTG ANNOUNT CLOSURE

I think about 30 of them are about to close very soon.

I did not and still dont understand, why you felt so offended by lojo - i dont believe this "information", til we have a good source. Sop i wait for jetset.
Your english may be much better than mine, but you are a piece away from being a native speaker, arent you?
Isnt it possible that there was a misunderstanding?
where do you know - or believe - that 30 RTGs will shut down soon?

Frankly, the title of this thread is very misleading. 49ers isnt closed yet. Maybe it should be renamed "49ers to close soon".

I have received notice of 49er closing:

"
Dear ###,

49er Casino will be closing its doors at the end of April 2007.
49er has always had a long standing commitment to quality
service and great online casino games.

With the recent changes in the industry in the last few months,
it has become increasingly difficult to effectively process
financial transactions to 49er's valued US customers.

49er Casino accounts will remain active till April 23, 2007.
Your customers are free to continue to enjoy your favorite games
until that date, afterwhich any available balance players have on
their accounts will be processed and sent to them via check
beginning April 30th.

It would be in your best interest to remove any 49erCasino.com
links you have on your site immediately, as the ability to register
a new account at 49er is not possible as of today, April 10, 2007.

You will still be paid your earnings from any 49er referral activity
for April 2007. However, after the 23rd, your players will not be
able to play on 49er, thus eliminating any chances to earn.

Please note that all other casinos listed below and SunPoker.com
will continue as usual serving all non-US and non-Turkish
customers.

Best Regards,

Thanks, AKA23 - that seems to finalise this....and I'm still awaiting a management response LOL!

This looks more like a withdrawal from the US market than a shut-down to me.

oh my god, this nightmare is now really true :(
Nightmare? Hardly!
I thought I might be sad to see them go - having been a member there since November 2002 (the Crypto days). But since RTG slots have gone down the pan in my personal honest view, I say good riddance.
In fact, I would not be upset if all RTG's disappeared - would certainly save me some money!

I only hope Sands & Omni follow suit. They have recently changed their monthly bonus to a monthly insult and they have one of the worst affiliate deals I've ever seen with crazy unexplained charges. :(
Peak have hit rock bottom - time for them to bail out.

not loserland *lol*
@KasinoKing, 49er was for me the first RTG Casino ever and i've won there some money, even much more, as on another Casinos and their payout-time is also the fastest one ever, so i'm very sad about that, because i like RTG Casinos more, then another, but i know, that you are not so a big fan from it ;)
