Hiya guys,
First off, and let me make this as clear as I possibly can, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the pay/play of the Old Glory slot machine. When we first released it (in tourney mode only ..), we got feedback from a number of people that the bet max button was not working correctly. I.e. they would click bet max and that would not successfully select two coins, and so bet one coin only. (only one coin got subtracted from the balance, the little 'stake' thing pops up also displaying only one coin "stake : $5" on the $5 machine - everything works perfectly - it just bets 1 coin instead of 2).
Wow.....Enzo. This is seriously going to pain me to make this post, but I have to comment.
There may be nothing wrong with the
pay of the Old Glory slot, but there absolutely IS something wrong with the
PLAY. You click max bet, yet the game only selects one coin, instead of two? That is a serious problem with the play. I understand what you refer to when you say that it pays out correctly, according to bet size, but that's not the issue.
The issue is that this slot's whole appeal and payout structure, depends on max coins being played. There is no way for anyone to win either the bonus feature, nor the jackpot, while playing only one coin. When people are under the misguided impression (due to an error on the part of the casino, NOT the player), that they are playing max bet, it is not a fair game. They have no chance to win on either of the main features of this game. That is what this game is all about. The game is not playing as advertised, and there is just no other way to see it.
For you to admit that you knew/know about this (even though not everyone seems to be affected), yet you allowed it to continue, absolutely blows my mind. I am beyond upset right now....as you know how much faith I put in you, and the way you run your operation.
To CasinoKidd, I get your point re: watching your balance. But to be honest, not everyone sits and watches every spin, especially if they engage the autoplay feature. I don't know how many spins it would take me to realize that my depreciating balance wasn't properly reflecting the amount I THOUGHT I was betting. Also, there are times when I hit autoplay....and then get up to crack a beer, pour a drink, answer the phone or go to the bathroom. I don't sit and watch my balance. I tend to watch the slot itself, when I'm in front of it.
Enzo, in reference to the thread here at CM you mention, I don't know how it escaped me...but I guess it did. And honestly, it doesn't add alot of weight to your argument. Not everyone reads CM. I think that everyone should...but it shouldn't be required reading to ensure you're getting a fair game.
If this were any other type of game, and as long as the payouts were being calculated correctly, I wouldn't see nearly as big a problem. However, on a game that relies completely on max bet for the top payout AND the bonus feature....I see this as an extremely serious issue.
I'm sorry Enzo, truly I am. I've always been one of your staunchest supporters on here, but this whole thing has left me completely gobsmacked. Enzo and company have always treated me like an extremely valued customer, and I'd like to think we've always had a mutual respect for each other. That's why it pains me to have to make a post like this.
In my mind, the way he has always run his operation is above reproach, and that is why I am so upset. Of course my opinion is just that...an opinion. Everyone else should feel free to decide for themselves if they think this issue is as serious as I think it is.
