I got an email from Anna at 3Dice this morning, and they are now accepting bitcoin. She offered 2 wallet options, Coinbase and Circle. I had signed up for Coinbase awhile ago, but their verification process was cumbersome. This morning I tried Circle.com and was verified through a text message verification code in seconds. It then let me load directly from my debit card, with no card verification required. After I added $40 from my debit card to my Circle account, I then changed the currency to bitcoins. I then contacted 3dice and received an address to send the money to at 3dice. I copied and pasted this address into the send option at Circle and sent my bitcoins to 3dice. Went back to the casino chat, told them I'd sent them money, and it was instantly credited to my account! I'm back! :notworthy I know this process sounds cumbersome, but it really only took me a few short minutes. Also, remember to buy your bitcoins using dollars as currency, then once you have dollars in your account, go to settings and change your currency to bitcoins before transferring to 3Dice. Hope this helps others!

Sending and receiving bitcoins to and from a casino is a quick way to get the boot from Circle/Coinbase. Next time I recommend you first send the bitcoins to a wallet, blockchain.info is a good one, and then send or receive your bitcoins from there. Circle and Coinbase are not a free ride to do gambling transactions from. They have and will give you the boot if they suspect that is what you are up to so its a wise decision to use a secure bitcoin wallet in between.

For anyone who has tried the bitcoin method, do you have to link a bank card or could a pre paid card work ?

a checking account in the beginning then after a transaction I was notified that debit card will do immediate credit for bitcoin wallet [no mention of weather it could be a prepaid only a debit card ]] they answer the questions via email in fast time however I would not mention using them for casino as I believe its against terms

I'd recommend anyone using bitcoin to fund these types of transactions educate themselves a bit in how bitcoin actually works first, and avoid direct transfers from US-based online service bitcoin wallets. Bitcoin is not truly anonymous. A bitcoin wallet can be on a thumb drive or even a piece of paper.

Please be advised the management of 3 dice was only testing a bit coin option. They have not decided on this method of payment as of yet. Once a option has been decided on it will be posted in the cashier section of the casino.

Thank You

Well, this is a bummer!

Just when I think there is a possible resolution, finally......... bowlingbob throws this

out there.

I really hope this is not the case but with the good old USA, I would not be

surprised in the least.

As for 3Dice, I can't help but wonder why they or if they have attempted to

get Mr Token on board.

One thing I do know is trying to give my money away is getting nigh on impossible.

It is nice that 3dice is trying to get more deposit options. I don't have that option in my cashier and I still can't deposit unless it is through a broker, which is something I have never done.

What is really nice is the members who have used Bitcoin, and can shed some light on the ins and outs of using it. I really don't know much about it but am learning more and more from the member feedback given here.

On the downside, I agree with weesie, it's getting harder and harder to play anywhere. Not only do I get hit with foreign transaction fees from my bank but if I deposit 50 I get charged 51 dollars and change add the foreign transaction fees to that I am paying a total of 53.86 USD I use to think "what the hell, it is the cost of gaming" but now I barely play anymore because of the cost and the hassle to get your winnings. It isn't really worth it to me.

Hi MaryJean,

Besides the usual loyalty bonuses and the special tournaments we usually do on Valentines, we haven't had any other bonus offers, therefore your post is a bit puzzling. I also don't see any delayed payments on our end.

Can you please send me your 3Dice account number so I can have a look ?

Kind regards,
Anna

Sorry Anna, this wasn't from 3 Dice.

I haven't been able to play at 3 Dice for a long time...again sorry.

I would really appreciate it if some would do an A-Z steps to take for using Bitcoins that could be pinned somewhere. I tried joining Circle about a year ago and it still hasn't been approved.

My understanding is you can use Bitcoins as long as your not caught using it for online casinos. So, can some expert please tell us in laymans terms how to establish a bitcoin account and circumvent getting cut off for using them to deposit at casinos?

Sounds more like it. Dont play again at that RTG casino.

Normally I would agree, but for some reason their games play reasonably well.

While it takes forever to get your money, it does seem to be winnable.

They are part of the old SilverOak group. They were always slow too, but I
never had trouble getting it eventually, nor was I ever blocked from playing there,
unlike a very well known "trustable" currently "approved" RTG casino.

Coinbase is a very reputable US place to BUY bitcoins, ACH from your bank account or debit card. Once you've bought them there you can send a bitcoin payment to yourself using ANY bitcoin wallet. Blockchain.info is a reputable bitcoin wallet service outside the US that will generate a new bitcoin address for each transaction for you to receive payments. You can actually even keep a bitcoin wallet on your PC, Electrum is a popular one. Blockchain won't care who you send a payment to, I think it is in Switzerland. If you are going to use online service wallets, I suggest you also need to educate yourself a little bit about 2FA (two-factor authentication) and enable and use it (authy, google authenticator, iphone and android token apps, like RSA tokens but just software) because virtual currency can be stolen without recourse (Bitcoin is a virtual fiat currency backed by NO country). Read the directions carefully, test with tiny amounts first.. :) Yes, it's a complex implementation. It's not hard to use once you've figured the steps out. Hippity hop goes the bitcoin to the casino, but not in 1 step from a US entity to an overseas casino, that's not a good idea. As to trust, if you can't, don't, find another way.
