The thing is though...Are those people actively wagering to get the first place? or is it more likely, they're just high-rollers who would normally wager that much regularly and will end up winning first place by 'accident', getting a prize they don't particularly want or need

Seems that tournament just for high rollers to wager that amount to get to the place harry did is shocking to me .Maybe its just me but that's a lot of money to flush down the pan to even get placed . Yes I don't understand it bring tournaments to us small rollers lol

Exactly my point, with out a doubt the big spenders will not even want the bonus and basicly makes this comp a complete faux, useless

you are right, high rollers only...top spot, a guy called Richard, had 64,850 points, that is 648,500 wagered.....to achieve that on normal play without some really big wins you stand to loose somewhat close to 100.000$/GBP/Euro ... minus the 200 or so you get from redeemed rubies........don't think the player really bothers much about the 500GBP top prize.

I pretty much stopped big deposits more than a week ago as i was hitting my monthly budget (not limit) very fast and i pretty much refuse to go over that as i would be losing money i cannot afford to do so. So i dropped from 10th to 70th in less than a week.

Well I deposited £50 at Videoslots this week, managed to get 733x 27p spins (£197.91 wagered) on DOA before busting out.
But that £50 has so far earned me £8 in the casino race and £2.86 cashback.
So I think I'd prefer £10.86 CASH from one £50 deposit to Harry's 7.5k wagering for £10 with 30x WR

Even the guy who's currently in first place this week has only made 53407 spins, which would be around £13.5k wagered, and he'll walk away with £380 CASH

Absolutely right Brian. I never played for the top spot or any spot as a matter of fact, since i knew that the high rollers will take spots 1-25 at least hands down.....but i had some big cashins which I started foolishly to reverse & bet between 6-18$/bet chasing an even bigger win but lost it pretty miserably.... the tournament was never on my mind then, to be honest.

Unfortunately i cannot play at Videoslots although i registered there this week, however, since my documents are in Thai language they were rejected. They are asking now for a notarized translated copy which in Thailand is very troublesome thing to get done. Maybe one day when i am too bored i'll go and do it. :D
