32Red - I am done with them

I have played at 32Red on and off for a little while and I overall enjoyed it however my one annoying gripe with them is how long they take to process a withdrawal and how long they get left reversible. It got so bad that I would actively not play there on a Friday because any withdrawal would be left sitting, available for reversal, until at least Monday and usually until Tuesday. This Thursday I made the mistake of taking 10 freespins on Halloween and had a nice little run with them, so much so that I forgot my rule and deposited to play some more and ended up cashing out £450.77. I thought that maybe it might get processed on Friday but no it is still sitting there and will be still on Monday available for reversal so they hope I will cave in, reverse and lose it. Not this time pal! Why are 32Red still stuck in the dark ages when it comes to withdrawals? Once I have this money in my bank account my account at 32Red will be closed for good and money spent at a more advanced outfit who wont hang onto your winnings for so long. Rant over!:thumbsup:

Don't close your account.

This has been discussed numerous times on here. It is their policy and I'd say 99% of members here are aware of it.

IMO it is their only negative and a minor one at that.

No inside knowledge but common sense tells me changes are in the not too distant future so I'd sit tight and remain patient.

It will be been processed Monday afternoon, you'll receive it about 3.15pm Tuesday (debit card right?) Again IMO not ideal but not a super long wait either.

Closing accounts as I pre-warned years back will only lead to problem after problem, especially for us in the UK.

That is another frustration, even wanting to close your account can have potential future detrimental effects. I have heard time after time that there are changes coming at 32Red regards this policy and still nothing happens. It just makes the whole experience with them more bitter as they obviously do this knowing that a larger percentage of people will buckle and reverse and most likely lose what they had won and maybe even more chasing it again. I used to do that but not any more as there are far more customer friendly sites that allow you to flush withdrawals or even process so quickly that reversal is no longer an option. I will spend my money with them in future. I only took the free spins because I was interested in the new Halloween game and if I had known it was also at Rizk I would have played there instead, more fool me.

Casinos that operate this reversal shite are doing so to retrieve anything between 20-35% of cash-outs back. It is no coincidence it's more pervasive at peak play times, i.e. the weekend period. That is the only reason the policy exists. It plays on the feel good factor that comes after a player wins.

This is so true and despite 32Red appearing overall to be a decent casino this sort of policy just makes everything else appear as window dressing and that they are not really a customer friendly outfit else they would have listened to their customer base and addressed this archaic policy long ago.

Their responsible gaming policy is a pretty big negative too in my eyes.

How will closing an account lead to other problems in the future, I've closed quite a few accounts over the past couple of years?

Yeah dont close it. I would just TAB for a couple months and then check back in and see if anythings changed. if not, TAB again. Rinse and repeat.

Because if they do change to your liking, now you cant return

Won't go in too deep feeling too under-motivated right now for a super lengthy post which I feel is needed to explain this one fully.

There are lots of teething issues with the implementation of new UKGC rules, themselves I feel not fully understanding them!

Accounts closed due to "I've had enough" are been mistaken for SE, TAB and life time gambling issues, "please ban me from here forever" type requests.

I also believe a central database for us in the UK is in the drawing room.

A mistaken SE (not saying defo would but could) may lead to an unwanted "Mountain of a mole Hill" type scenario which would be very hard to sort out, possible beyond sorting due to the strict(er) new UK rules etc.

By not closing an account (for none problem gambling reasons) players can avoid all this.

Look at the huge amount of SE nightmare type threads over the last couple of years, I warned of this long before it happened.

This is pretty hard to explain over "text talk" but I feel unless a player admits they have a problem and wants to call it a day for good across the board, then just walk away and play elsewhere don't go closing accounts because we're mad at the time of busting, don't like waiting too long for winnings, live help said no to a NDB etc etc etc

Once this central database is in place, I think the plan is you won't be able to play anywhere after excluding just once at 'x' casino, pretty drastic if you closed an account over a pending period eh??

Ah I thought there must have been another reason. I agree with the self exclusion database, its going to cause major problems, unless all casinos have a big 'in your face' notice when people 1. Self Exclude, and 2. Sign up.

It doesn't help when you have dodgy operators like Simba Games (and all the rest under that license) refusing point blank to close accounts, and telling customers they must self exclude to do it. They should be in the rouge pit for that in my view as if people follow their advice I can see it causing major problems in the future.

Excellent point, well made. You have enlightened me to not close my account, I will simply mothball it for an indefinite period.

Thank you

Cheers everybody I have just opened an account with 32Red and this information will definitely come in handy for me if I experience any difficulties with them :)
