So I logged on to 32Red just now to check what their Dish of the Day for today is (as it is usually 100% up to €50 for me on Fridays), but I couldn't seem to find any offers available on my account. It wasn't a different Dish of the Day, it was just no Dish of the Day at all, it was completely missing from my promotions page. For once I was hoping that annoying bonus reminder would slide in from the right. :D

Anyway, I contacted their live support to see what was up, and this was the response I got:

Matt: Unfortunately all our bonuses are now by email invitation only I'm afraid. This isn't to say you won't receive the offers, you'll just need to keep an eye on your inbox for future offers you may be invited to.

I'm really confused by all this, am I the only one who has had this change applied to their account? I'm not exactly winning big at 32Red (€450 deposited, €100 withdrawn) and I am by no means a bonus abuser, so I don't see why I would be singled out to be excluded from these promotions.

Thoughts?

That's a friendly way of saying you've been bonus banned.
It's a long and complicated story but I know a lot about it...
It's unlikely that Mark would be able to help you. If you want your bonuses back they will ask you to make deposits without bonuses, then they might start offering you bonuses again.
Note: being bonus banned at 32Red does not necessarily mean that you have abused their bonus system.

About an hour later i got an email from them with 100% up to €50  .... Hope the same will happen for you :)
Maybe that is another possibility. But, that's never happened to me, over the past 5+ years I have never been invited by email, I've just logged on the casino to claim my bonuses.
They could have changed the way they give bonuses, I'm not 100%. I made a deposit about 12 hours ago, so if it is a recent change it hasn't affected my account yet.

I have noticed a change because last weekend I got a personal offer.

Some maybe only deposit when there is a 100% or always with a bonus. Try to make a couple with no bonus and I'm sure they are willing to review your account again..
They do give out a lot so no reason complaining.

It's also possible to send one of the reps a question about your account.

Then go win

Sorry for the confusing title - I just assumed based on the wording of the rep that this was a change that applied to everyone, not just a select few. My mistake. :)

Either way, I don't think I'll ever understand casinos that ban users from taking bonuses, assuming the bonuses aren't giving the players a potential advantage (say, wager-free freespins and such). If it's a casino that uses a bonus system which locks the deposit in with high wagering requirements, I don't see why they wouldn't shower players with daily bonuses. All I want is to extend my playtime.

Yes, my thoughts exactly. But, it's more complicated than that. As a business they must maximise profits. And even if it is profitable for them to give non-stop bonuses, it might be even more profitable for them to slow down or to even cease giving bonuses sometimes.

I can think of several reasons why it can be more profitable for casinos to not offer or to slow down bonus offers.
Here's one; some players will still deposit even without a bonus and these players will yield more profit for the casino.

It's something that casinos must weigh very carefully as many like myself just refuse to deposit without a bonus.

I haven't had any emails from 32Red casino for, literally, years now. I do get the occasional one from 32Red bingo, where I didn't even know I was a member.

I had a problem with not receiving any promotional emails from 32Red. I hadn't opted out, used to get them, and my account should I should be getting them. I would get answers from support, just not the regular mailings.

Issue was resolved by opening a new gmail address and changing my email address with the casino. Has worked just fine afterwards.

The DOTD is still showing on my account. But I dont take every bonus offer. In fact only 1 I touch is a 100% and I think 1 or 2 times 50%
rest of my deposits are straight up no bonus. So think it also comes down to them seeing what bonuses you take - balanced with deposits
that are bonus free.

I wonder if they count reversed withdrawals as a cash deposit? I've often reversed part of a pending withdrawal (usually only the same amount as i was intending to deposit), rather than make a fresh deposit. I'm sure it's better for them, since it saves on processing fees. But does it count with regards to potential bonus-banning?

Nope, you're not alone there mate. On January 1st, I finally got bonus banned at 32Red. Having already been bonus banned at Dash, Golden Lounge and Nedplay around April 2015. I signed up at Roxy Palace and Casino Splendido late December and then found I got bonus banned there too, less than a week after I signed up with both of them LOL.

To be honest, I can sort of understand why I got bonus banned at 32Red. I had a terrific spell at 32Red from early October and the cynic in me probably thinks " yep.....bonus banned cuz I won too much". Whether that is true or not, who knows, but the decision is made and I know fighting or complaining about it is a waste of my time...and theirs.

I recall talking to Matt asking why I had been banned without being informed (I got bonus banned without being informed at Dash, Golden Lounge and Nedplay too) and I said to him "You could have at least sent an e-mail to say "We have regretfully taken the decision....blah blah blah". To be fair to Matt, he did give a very good reply....something along the lines of "in the event of you no longer being invited to participate in our DOTD promotions, no correspondence will be entered into." I knew there and then I had no leg to stand on. But it at least clarified things for me.

If 32Red (or any other casino) want to bonus ban you without prior notice, they can. Hell, if they (or any other casino) want to lock or close your account completely, without prior notice, they can. If it is in the T & Cs, then the player can't really do much about it.

Is it a shitty way to find that you have been bonus banned only after logging into the casino? Yep...sure is. But they are within their rights to do it. The T & Cs are very clear. Still a bit classless in my opinion. It doesn't do anything to help the relationship between player and casino. If anything, it could be interpreted as a middle finger salute to the player.

But....at the end of the day, they are a business. They are answerable to shareholders. They are trying to maximise profits. So they will do what they feel is necessary. If the player doesn't like it....tough.

The only change I saw was a personal email invite for a special VIP weekend bonus in addition to the DOTD showing up in the lobby. DOTD is set on individual accounts, and is not necessarily the same offer as everyone else gets.

Email invites are a regressive step due mainly to the problems with such emails getting through to players rather than being rejected as spam by the ISP, something that has become an increasing problem with a subtle change of policy with some ISPs not even delivering spam to a spam folder, but rejecting it before it even gets as far as an individual subscriber's email account. This happened to me over 3 months when Virgin Media moved to a new email system and introduced a new spam filter that rejected many of my Casino Rewards offers before they even entered the ISPs email systems, so they didn't show in spam either! I have found a couple of the 32Red mailers caught up in the mess, and it seems they have somewhat fixed the system so that the spam folder again receives anything deemed by the ISP to be spam, so that users can use the "not spam" tag on them when checking the spam folder.

If DOTD vanishes from the lobby, the most usual cause is that this particular promo has been removed from your account. There are the other promos, such as the $250 freerolls, the £20K fortnightly, and the various races and promos, that will remain as these all require deposits. Even the freerolls should now only work for players who have deposited within the last 30 days.

I still get the freerolls and I've definitely not depped last 30 days. Perhaps thats subjective, not sure.
_______

Can't recall any 32red emails in a dog's age, though 32red poker often. DotD popped up when I logged in at 7pm as usual.
Haven't been bonus banned here - well, havent been bonus banned anywhere. I may take quite a few bonuses, but I'm sure it helps I never make WR :D

Just to follow-up, as per the norm, tournaments loaded today as did the Dotd pop-up. Granted, also as is the norm, the casino client crashed during turney, but they're there.

So far we all can play the Daily tornament even though no deposit. What you can't play is the fortnightly without having made a deposit recently.
For me everything worked with no problem today. A pleasant surprise :)

Strange. I'm pretty sure this is the most recent fortnightly. I could be wrong though.

No that's the latest one. Strange:eek2: Maybe they let you play at 32Red without a deposit but definately not on their other casinos.
If you can manage that too then I will scream:p

@mcgameboy

"yep.....bonus banned cuz I won too much". Whether that is true or not.."
I have a lot of conflicting information about that.
Not only my own experience but other player's experiences shows that they don't do this.
I would grant 32Red that at least; that they are rational enough not to ban a player for winning in and of itself.

I know other casinos will bonus ban players simply for winning. I can cite a pretty recent post about a player here on CM asking the casino why they were bonus banned and the casino's response was simply because he won.

"I recall talking to Matt asking why I had been banned without being informed..."
Yes, they don't give you any warning and that causes problems.

When they bonus banned me, the staff at the casino wouldn't even tell me what was going on. They just told me that "the promotion is email only" and being 100% innocent I thought they had suddenly changed the way they give out bonuses and I asked to be put back on the email list. Only after waiting for a period of time with no offers by email did I put 2 and 2 together.
They are so scared of offending players that they sacrifice the truth. And it's not the 1st time 32Red have caused trouble by doing this; they practice it regularly.
I'm not going to give 32Red a lecture in basic morality; that's what this is about.

I had some clues that staff know before-hand that a player is going to be bonus banned.
After having every single reasonable request rejected for the last 5 years they suddenly started to cut me some slack.
I thought something fishy was going on, and my suspicions were confirmed; shortly after I was bonus banned.
Real classy 32Red  You pat the cow and speak kindly to it, before you slaughter it.

I am currently looking into the specific reasons why 32Red bonus ban people.
Apart from the obvious: people profiting from the casino. It seems to me there other reasons why they bonus ban...

It's important for players to be confident that the casino they are at, acts rationally. Because if the casino isn't, it can harm players.

I've not been bonus banned anywhere (and there's a few I'm rather surprised I'm not).

But really; their prerogative and I'm sure there's a myriad of reasons, none of which they need to justify

*a complex formula
*you won too much
*you deposit too little
*you only take bonuses
*we simply don't like you

All the casino is entitled to do, is treat you fairly. And fairly and equally are not synonymous and needn't be.

32red

I think it is about just two factors:

- player mainly takes the 50% - 100% bonusses, rarely/never makes straight deposits

in combination with

- player wins too often/much with these bonusses (and is ahead over a period of say 3 - 4 months, due to bonus winnings)

Däng! -->bonus banned, or how they call it: "Bonusses have been temporarily removed from your account"

Has anyone been bonus banned and then got the Dish of the Day back after depositing enough to keep them happy?

I got bonus banned after a few to many wins (hehe good for me)
Have made quite a few deposits since but no where near as many as i used to.
Used to love those 25% bonuses!

Doesn't really bother me either way.
Often don't bother with bonuses but rather like the little ones.

Bonuses are not mandatory, we forget that casinos take a hit by giving them out and essentially giving the player free funds to....take money off their business if cleared. Doesn't really make much sense really, perhaps this is why they cannot be given out to every player, all the time.

Yes I do get the emails fairly regularly, and nearly always when I have no money. When it comes to regular reloads and overall fair wagering terms I can't think of anyone as consistent as 32Red.

Overall I am probably down at 32Red too, this obviously must have a large bearing on whether I receive these bonuses, makes sense to me. At the same time if I cleaned up there I wouldn't be holding my breath to get any sort of emails from them, it's perfectly logical. They are a business after all! :(
