[Max says: this topic was split off from Hey all 21 Grand Casino is here. OT and needed it's own thread.]

:(. Iv heard a mixture of things about 21grand.

Some people have been paid quickly, while some others have waited 2 weeks.

Some people have had to send in documents before getting paid. Others havent. (which is a bit of a lame situation for myself, since the uk dont not issue goverment id's, i dont drive, and havent been overseas, thus the only real "ID" I have is my birth certificate and live support just told me "we may ask for it, we may not")

but yea...welcome... im sure I will be contacting rep soon :D

Please do not make sweeping statements like that - it's misleading.
Not ALL casinos ask for ID, only MOST casinos ask for ID.

the reps been taking a while to reply... slowly giving up all hope.

As for saying all casinos ask for ID.... rubbish!!! as KasinoKing says.

In fact theres becoming fewer that ask for ID. Out of the last 7 casinos I played at only yours has asked for ID (as explained in my pm. Support Specifically told me that my birth certificate will be ok).. so I deposit, play, lose a fair bit, then win a tiny bit back and try to withdraw it (still at a great loss overall). I send in birth certificate and wham... "you must send in photo ID"

As for most casino users they do sing praises about casinos that have been top notch and express the facts when they have been wrong done by and certainly im not singing any praises...yet

Why not give her a chance to respond before jumping down her throat, she is new to this and just asked for help, if players are getting paid, thats not bad is it and ID's are almost always asked for at any online casino.

Im always ready to give someone the benifit of doubt when they are new and she is merly wanting feedback and is learning the forum ropes imo.

Because I have contacted the rep before asking about something. Although I 1stly got a reply I pm'd them again and havent had a reply. This was going back to March 27th.

Im all for giving people/casinos or anyone the benefit of the doubt but in this instance iv been wrong done by. Fancy being told by a support staff member its ok to use my birth certificate as id (for the reasons above) and "we will request it if we need it". Then I deposit and play, lose a bit, then win a tiny bit and cashout (overall at a loss though) and after sending my birth certificate was told I need to send photo ID. If thats the case then iv been tricked into depositing and should rightfully be entitled to all my deposits back.

Its funny how the same day I requested a payout from 21G I also requested a payout at another Rival casino... I saw the money from the other casino 3 days after requesting without the rudeness from support staff (bar 1, namely Anna, who is a polite and helpful asset)

I work in a retail environment where the key element is to make the customer feel treated right. Certainly no retail stores sell stuff to customers who use their card, but then if they come back for a refund say "You got any photo identification on you?.... The name on the card says MR ******, but that could be anyone"

anyways enough of my talkin :D,

I understand your frustation as i know players on the forum who do not have a photo ID and use their birth certificates ,the casinos usually work with them.

In the states you can get a State ID card, that looks just like a drivers lic., not sure about other countries tho, my bank teller has to see a picture Id when i cash a check, even tho she knows me, so i can understand the need of a Pic ID if one is using a credit card to deposit with and withdrawl in some cases.

Why is it that 3Dice can process my withdrawl without an ID and do it quite effectively, while others require ID, utility bills, etc. for the same service?? This is why I believe that the whole ID thing is total BS. What good does a picture ID do them anyway?? They don't know it's me, nor should they care. It is all crap in the name of "security". The truth is picture or not, they have no idea who I am. I could just as easily have my 7 year old color a pic of me and paste it on the ID for all the good it does them!

Because it's all BS. Like I said 11 years ago on another board, if the casino was that concerned with fraud, they would ask for all that information up front. In the past, I've had to send things multiple times as it was just a stalling technique for some casinos.

Fast foward and it's still around. Same BS, different year...

I agree completely. It should be ask for before depositing.

Casinos who asd for ID when you hit withdrawl are actually using tactics.

Lets say someone was using a fraudulent card. They deposited $1000's and lost. Then $1000's more and won something. When they try to withdraw and are asked for ID the chances are they wont be able to provide it and sooner or later the fraud will be traced up (weather its by the CC company or other agencys).

Now thats where the casino plays the wildcard... "when they deposited we didnt know the card was fraudulent, but we did put a stop to it when they tried to withdraw". This basically could well mean that the casino will still be able to keep some if not all of that fraudulent deposit which will be recovered in court fees issued to the offence committer

That would be OK if every online casino followed this protocol. But not all would. So players (lets not piss in each others pockets here) who want instant gratification of playing now, would find a casino that did not request ID before deposit and play anyway.

Casinos who asd for ID when you hit withdrawl are actually using tactics.

Some do but not all.
It maybe your opinion that casinos who ask for ID after a withdrawal is lodged is stalling payment of winnings but that's only your opinion.

Besides reputable casinos will state in their T&C's...ect...ect that ID may be requested before a withdrawal is processed.
If peeps don't read the T&C's that's not the casinos fault. And if you don't agree with the T&C...ect...ect don't play at the casino.

thats where the casino plays the wildcard

The only wild card here is your sheer lack of understanding of how CC fraud is handled.

Max or a Mod can we shift this thread (part of) to another forum please. It's totally off topic.

Cheers

:)

Nope. No misunderstanding of how it works on my behalf.

The bottom line has always been that the reason id is asked for upon withdrawl is nothing but in the casinos favour.

Dammit. It was wasnt sooo early i would elaborate further but soooo tired...cant even think.. i'll be back lataz though

Yup, It is just a stalling tactic...................................Until, someone with the same username, or close to it, or some such thing, request, "YOUR WINNINGS", and they send it to him, imhop, "YOU", and others would be the first to start crying, "WTF?, They gave my winnings to some body else, without even trying to verify who they were?":what:

There is a BIG difference between asking for ID verification documents, and asking for the documents, verifying they got them, not paying out, and saying that they never got the id documents. Then doing it again........

I treat the Casino like an enemy/opponet, just as much as the next guy, but when it come to ID Verivication, I am with the Casino on this one........

I still dont get why some are siding with the casino.

Like anyone in the UK how can they provide documents that they dont have or dont exist for them?

The only governent ID as such is a birth certificate.

My card is not a credit card. Its in fact a debit card. This means the money I play with is entirely my own and direct from my bank.

Theres no difference if I was paying with debit card or an ewallet since an E-wallet takes the money direct from my bank to pay the casino. My debit card does exactly the same. (in fact the debit card I deposit with is the same as the 1 linked to my moneybookers account. The truth is that it would be more expensive to send money from an e-wallet than to pay on my debit card since E-wallets charge the casino when you deposit and then if I want to withdraw money to my bank I am charged a withdraw fee)

Its something we will never agree on. With places like the US they wont agree because they get ID as granted. However places like the UK will always be against it because ID is not granted and many have nothing.

Furthermore regarding rival casinos. The reason I started depositing via debit card was because they near enough made me believe I could withdraw to card or at least a cheque... But nope... only E-wallets. Fair theres problems with processors and laws yada yada yada but nothing is made clear that you cant withdraw to a card so for people that dont like or dont have E-wallets they are basically giving away their money for free and even if they win they wont see a penny

Since this thread has turned into a lot of things unreleted to 21grand but ID in general I will post a chat I had with a support staff member a minute ago at another rival casino... this time being "vegas regal":

ME: hello, my user is ******. I am enquiring about vegas regal casino. I have met WR for a no deposit bonus. What I will have to do is deposit $25 via moneybookers and cashout $125 to moneybookers. my question is will I be asked to provide ID? and also as im in the UK where there is NO "government ID", can I send in my birth certificate?
Xander: if any documents is required you will be notified by email
ME: Yes but I am asking weather my birth certificate is fine to send
ME: What is the point of me making further deposits if you wont accept my birth certificate if I am asked for documents
Xander: please do send it, if by any chance it is not sufficient you will be notified by email
ME: yes but I need to know for certain... as thats the only ID type I have. The UK doesnt supply government ID cards and I dont drive nor have I been overseas so I dont havea driving licence or passport
info: Your chat transcript will be sent to ********** at the end of your chat.
Xander: I am unable to tell in advance since this is being handled by the security department
ME: great.... thanks for the little jelp you have been

what total bullcrap. Hes basically telling me to deposit all I like and if they need ID they will ask for it but with a great chance I wont recieve a penny.

This to me is sheer ignorance. Rival needs to get a grip in general. Fancy telling someone birth certificate is fine and then saying no after they have deposited (21 grand) then now at VR not knowing if they can accept it or not. What sort of reply is "if any documents is required you will be notified by email". Its just trickery and really should be close to a rogue if this is the case with every rival. I can either deposit and have the lot taken off me because my birth certificate wont be accepted or I can not deposit and have the chance of losing out on a free $100.

but the thing with it is he is implying me depositing.

"if any documents is required you will be notified by email
please do send it, if by any chance it is not sufficient you will be notified by email"

If you look deep into that it does indeed become clear. The tone and context of it. The only time they ask for "documents" is when you make a withdraw if they were to at all. So hes saying that as if he is expecting me to make a deposit and then just wait and see.

The whole basis is the uncertainty of what casinos (especially rival) tend to say. Iv seen many peoples posts about rival casinos where they have asked questions and the answers given have been neutral. To one person it can mean 1 thing and another person something completely different.

Whats more is thats what support staff are there for. They shouldnt be employed or should be trained better if they "dont know" certain things. They are there to answer players questions which are not of a serious matter (i.e a complaint or chargebacks/being overcharged)

They have full access to my account so should know full well in advance if I am going to be asked for identification and should have a standard policy concerning ID and Leways which they must know before being in support.

Sparkz, what I hear the rep saying is please send it. Not deposit and send it. Send it before your deposit, and ask if it is sufficient ID to cashout if you deposit via moneybookers. I did have a Rival (Vegassky) ask me to take a photo of me holding my ID, and they cashed me out after they got same.

If that is not going to be sufficient, they should be able to tell you before you deposit. Livechat can't do the verifications, and I wouldn't expect an email to be answered before monday.

Try going back to livechat and ask for the address for security to send it too.

When you do deposit, make sure you don't take a bonus if you want to cashout.

You REALLY need to be in the UK before you can understand this. Sparks NEEDS TO KNOW 100% BEFORE parting with any money that the ID is satisfactory. He is trying his best to get this done BEFORE depositing and playing, yet at TWO casinos the support are being UNHELPFUL in their replies, and although are not saying he should deposit now, are IMPLYING that it can all be sorted out when he withdraws. This is NO GOOD, because if for some reason security do NOT accept the birth certificate, Sparks CANNOT supply anything else. It is IMPOSSIBLE for him to supply the "standard" request of "one piece of PHOTO ID and one utility bill", so he MUST know beforehand that a particular casino can "work with him" to authenticate his ID by other methods. In the UK, it is NOT necessary to produce photo ID at banks, although it makes things easier. There is an official "B list" of alternative acceptable forms of ID for the large number of UK citizens who do not drive, nor travel abroad. This "B list" involves the birth certificate, along with TWO further pieces of supporting ID, making up for a photo ID and only ONE supporting piece of ID.
