After divorcing my wife of 25 years, I decided to take my chances in an online raffle, and then I end up winning $5,000!!!

Literally happened 2 days after the divorce was finalized, so guess I won't have to give her half lol

All I had to do was pick 4 numbers from 1 and 29 and then I matched the 4 winning numbers in the raffle draw and won!!

Guess my luck is finally started to change after dropping my excess baggage loool

Sounds like one of those Casino Rewards bullshit ads that plagued Canada and social media. Along the lines of "I had just been made redundant, lost use of my legs, developed severe genital herpes, the cat then ran off, the missus left, the kids don't speak to me and I was just about to be evicted when I spent my last $50 at Grand Mondial and would you know it, won the Mega Moolah Jackpot for $12,876,555.14..."

I hope the OP isn't an impending shill.

You wouldn't have had to give her half anyway. A gambling win is an individual's regardless of marriage status. Not classed as earnings or assets accrued as a result of your partnership unless it was a shared ticket or stake or it could be proven you had used her funds for the stake.

If it were me I just wouldn't tell her so no issue anyway.

1 month after quitting for good depositing into the online gambling compensated scam, i could have had this. Odds of Utd losing there were slimmer than your chances hitting those numbers. I would have took the work holidays in an instant. Congrats on your winnings. Proof that playing lowlevellotteries sometimes pays off

I wonder what you will do if your child breaks some furniture in the house and you lose a bundle at the casino. Will you be associating the loss with your child?
