100 UK National lottery scratch cards - Is it worth it ????

Short answer: No

Been there, done that, and would have the Tshirt too if there was one..

Don't waste your money. The chance of hitting one of those big ones is so small, its ( IMO ) not worth the 'investment'. Yeah, buy 1 or 2 cards occasionally, but doing batches of 100 is just silly. Stick to slots ;)

I don't know about the slots games but i seem to recall that the national lottery itself had around a 50% house edge depending on the jackpot size. That's around 5x worse that a suicidal slots game. I don't imagine they would have that much more a conservative edge on the scratch cards.

And that Goddam "Good causes" kitty, i`m all for charities and the like but some of these so called good causes are beyond outrageous - "Hey Roy congratz on your £5 million win, it would have been £10 million but you funded this years `Lesbian Freedom Fighters For Vegetable Rights` annual field trip to outer space to help conquer Martians suffering from Tourette Syndrome".

.

It's when you see them funding the logging companies 'freedom fight' against the oppersive rainforest that i start to question the political motivations.....

I actually tried this once with £20 worth of scratchers, won about £2 from them, so it is DEFINITELY NOT worth it!! ;)

Nowadays I stick to playing slots ;) maybe buy a scratchcard once every month if I'm lucky :)
