Good Morning Casinomeister!

I am pleased to share our latest game release that has gone network-wide (via the Yggdrasil platform) today: 3 Lucky Leprechauns after a very popular limited exclusive at Entain Brands.

The game is medium-high volatility with a default RTP of 96% and an optional 94% + DE RTP and a minimum bet of 0.10

Those that follow us probably know we always create games with a purpose, with this game, we wanted to address two common player's frustrations
  1. 'Unobtainable max wins' that hold RTP that a lot of players might not ever see.
  2. Feature frequencies that are too far out, especially in the UK where no bonus buy or autoplay.
As a result, 3 Lucky Leprechauns was born!

The game has a max win of 5,500 X that is balanced to be active and an average bonus frequency of 1 in 75, which is very frequent when compared to competitor games that are often over 1 in 400 on average.

Take the Leprechaun Trail to win cash prizes, guaranteed win spins, or picks in the Pick-a-Win bonus! Play the bonuses for the best win potential or trade in your win spins and picks to take cash prizes instead! Land more scatters in view on the reels to start higher up the trail!

Reach the very top oā€™the trail to win the max trail prize of 5000x!

Pick the luckiest of Leprechauns to act as your wild symbol! There are 3 Leprechauns to choose from, so pick your favourite to accompany you on your travels!

Have you got the luck of the Irish? If so, spin to win the luckiest Leprechaunsā€™ gold! šŸŒˆ

In nearly five years of playing, I am yet to see a max win.

My biggest multiplier is around 4,600x - kind of makes the top end not worth considering, although it's always at the front of my mind when checking out a slot. I'll take a 5k max win any day.

1 in 75 feature frequency is very impressive. The new NLC has a max win of 6,666x and that has an extreme vol rating.

Will give this a try when I see it.

Yep, this is exactly what a lot of players we speak to say as well. I am a slots player myself and would also happily take 5,000 X :D

Thanks and I-rish you luck playing it.

Have never had a max win in nearly 20 years of online casino gaming. Biggest win I ever had was a full screen of Stark Symbols in GOT free spins (was around Ā£4000 on a 90p bet), but I sincerely doubt that was the max win possible on GOT since the free spins kept going after that.

I'll certainly give this one a whirl if I see it.

Thank you, hopefully, your luck changes in 3 Lucky Leprechauns šŸ¤ž

Will give this a try (when im not quite so skint at moment lol).

Id rather have a lower max win thats more plausible than the massive max wins you see that your never really gonna get.

My four best wins ive ever had were Ā£1000 on 20p spin (a jackpot game about 5 years ago), around 2700x on temple of treasure and around 2500x on bod (full screen gold head) and finally i did manage a max win on xmas big bass bonanza xmas before last - around 2100x , so i guess ive been lucky to get one max win although it was a lower max win , but as i say, i actually dont mind that.

Thank you! Remember to always play responsibly and within your limits :)

So pleased to hear the players agree with the players we spoke to when we planned the game.

Agree 100% with the sentiments behind the design of the game. I actively avoid playing anything much over 5000x, noble exceptions being IR and TS2 because they are just perfectly balanced, regardless.

I will give this a whirl. tbf I would be happy with 2500x and more chance of medium range wins, with modern slot design being what it is.

Now if you had dropped the optional 94% RTP choice I would give this a 100% score on a "4 The Player" scale :)

But still, this seems a sensible slot and I'll give it a go!

Thank you :) The default RTP is in a lot of places, just look for the gold Slot Stats diagram on our splash screen and you know its the top RTP we offer ;)

I gave this a decent kick around in demo play last night, it's not a bad game, although I wouldn't say it set my world on fire.

One thing I can see that you won't be able to in the UK is the bonus buy menu, which gives you a very good steer on the average pay of each of the bonus tiers.

I had a mess around with the bonus buys but in the main I played the game on normal spins (albeit with autoplay) to get a feel for it as it will be for UK players. The feature does indeed come in very frequently, although most of the time it will be three scatters which starts you off on the bottom rung of the ladder (where the 7x award is), a light then dapples around, if it lands on an up arrow you go up to the next rung, if it lands on the value it auto-collects.

Four scatters starts you up at the 4 win spins 'green' level (I saw that drop in naturally a couple of times), five scatters starts you at the one pick 'blue' level.

Three scatters can and does upgrade though, I saw it climb into the green tier with reasonable regularity, and once it managed to get all the way up into the blue level. That said, a lot of the time three scatters will end up just auto-collecting somewhere between 7x and 20x.

Your minimum award from the 1 pick blue level seems to be 50x (which would hurt on a 330x bonus buy!), and really you need to get into 2 picks and 5 picks for the juicy stuff. (Where you can get many hundreds or 1000x and more times stake.)

I didn't manage to get the 5000x but that's only to be expected.

The win spins tier is arguably the most interesting because it actually has spins rather than just pick-me values or an automated collect on a dapple. It guarantees as many win spins as it says, and every spin will be a win at 5x, but it can do 2OAKs and 3OAKs, generally speaking the win spins round value was around that of the straight win value, with some outliers. Personally I'd go for the win spins as that can surprise you.

Graphically it's lovely with nice clear symbols and pleasing animations, but crikey another Irish themed slot, really? It's almost beyond clichƩ at this point. The main music that warbles along in the background is very generic Oirish and gets old rather quickly.

I didn't see the base game do much of anything special although my spin sample wasn't huge of course. Looking at the pay table and the way the reels are set out though, I don't even think it has the potential to, feels like there's a lot of RTP in the bonus on the slot to make it nice and regular, which was a stated design goal so can't really argue with that.

I wouldn't rule out giving this a punt with real funds at some point, although Unibet and VS have both taken it at 94% of course, and they're the only casinos outside of 3Dice I really have active accounts with at the moment.

Overall I'd say it's a 7.5/10 sort of effort, nothing offensive about it, but unlikely to have anyone swinging from the rafters with delight either.

Good Afternoon @ChopleyIOM and wow thanks for the detailed review of the game - glad you liked it even if it did not knock your shamrocks off! ;)
ā€œMost of the time it will be three scatters which starts you off on the bottom rung of the ladder (where the 7x award is)ā€

Yep, 3 Scatters is indeed the most common, although 4 is not too far behind followed slightly further by 5, simply because you do land so much higher and the win potential is so much greater.

ā€œYour minimum award from the 1 pick blue level seems to be 50xā€

This is correct, but the average win is 200 X and the max even higher!

ā€œI didn't manage to get the 5000x but that's only to be expected.ā€

Looking at the stats, we have had a fair few already hit the top oā€™ the trail - we will share more on that later!

ā€œPersonally I'd go for the win spins as that can surprise you.ā€

Exactly the same as me to be honest. I always like to see what can happen, whereas other players might prefer the cash prize. That's exactly why we give the choice: every player has their own preferred way of playing.

ā€œGraphically it's lovely with nice clear symbols and pleasing animations, but crikey another Irish themed slot, really? It's almost beyond clichĆ© at this point.ā€

Thank you for saying so, we are proud of the graphics and overall production!

Slot themes are always such a divisive topic as a lot of players prefer classics (Gods, Egypt, Irish, Gold etc). We try to do a mix of classic and innovative themes, such as 10x Rewind, 60 Second Heist, or our famous Yeti!

We did add our own twist to the classic theme: you can choose your Leprechaun, including a female leprechaun, Muriel!

What would your dream theme be?

ā€œFeels like there's a lot of RTP in the bonus on the slot to make it nice and regular, which was a stated design goal so can't really argue with that.ā€

Correct! :) There is a fair amount of RTP in the bonus by design, as that way the feature frequency can be 1 in 75 on average and give some good wins. That said, there is still enough RTP on the reels for plenty of base reel action, and for some big win base game hits to occur!

Thanks very much for that detailed reply @4ThePlayer , it's always great to have direct input from game developers here at CM :)

I was working from home today so had this slot running off on a spare machine in the corner of my office for eight hours solid. No bonus buys, all just normal spins, so a few thousand spins at least.

More observations.

Base game does have some potential, it hasn't topped 100x yet but got very close at 98.6x, looking at the reel setups over 100x is certainly possible but I can't see how it'll do much more than 200x. (Is that a number you can share, maybe there's a real outlier win in there?) But yes, don't completely write off the base game, it can chuck in some reasonably midsized wins.

Three scatters are certainly the most common trigger (as you'd expect), but it does quite like to do a four scatters trigger, and I had one natural five scatters trigger as well. (The five scatters trigger offered me 200x or a gamble for a single pick, if it was real money I'd have taken the 200x, I went for the gamble and got stiffed with 125x :D )

I also had a three scatters trigger escalate all the way to the 400x tier (second level of five scatters), which I gambled and got 350x, I might have had a punt at that one for real too as two picks can be pretty powerful.

Gambling the straight win award for the spins is a nice option, if a player simply wants a safe 50x they can take it, or have a bit of a flutter on the spins. (I'd be extremely interested to know, is there an 'optimum strategy' for these choices, or is it mathematically identical in T-RTP terms?)

I'm also feeling more kindly disposed now to the basic three scatters dapple mechanic, which it occurred to me is almost functionally identical to the 3Dice 'levels' mechanic on Enchanted Spins, just presented in an alternate matter, and you get to the point where you're willing it to climb rather than stop - so yes, I'll take it as a valid feature.

On that note, the high feature frequency is an absolute blessing in this day and age, worst I've seen so for is 400 spins for a feature but that was a real outlier, normally they're coming in every 50-150 spins or so. The fact that four and even five scatters triggers are achievable from normal play rather than bonus buys is a welcome design choice too (I'm looking at you, NoLimit City).

Extra bonus points are awarded for an intuitive and configurable autoplayer that remembers your settings from one invocation to the next, so it's just a couple of clicks to get going again.

I'd rather the 94% version didn't exist but I appreciate the market you operate in and I like the fact the 96% version is out there too.

Closing comments would be this is where I like my slots to live in terms of wins and RTP distribution, loads of RTP stacked into regular features so we're not watching a basegame for an hour at a time (which some BTG slots absolutely will do), don't waste RTP on lottery-style odds wins at the extreme top end, and deliver a consistent and solid feed of pleasing wins in the mid-low range, whilst also peaking up into the 100-400x range reasonably consistently, with a nice halo prize to aim for - 5000x will do me absolutely fine.

I have revised my verdict of this game and I'll go for 8.5/10, because it gets a lot of slotting stuff just right, I'll forgive it the Irish theme as it's inoffensive enough but it would have been nice to see one of your more original themes. I guess you've done your market research on this stuff, but have you tried searching for 'LEPRECHAUN' at any online casino?

Couple of screenies, here's the natural five scatters trigger, could have had 200x but went for a gamble....

1678386583151.png

And here's the three scatters trigger that evolved nearly all the way to the top, 400x was the offer, I gambled and left with 350x from two picks.

Anyway, money where my mouth is time, decided I'd have a crack at this with some real funds. Unibet and VS can both bugger off as they've taken it at 94%, going back through some of my older online casino accounts I've found some no longer seem to work (LeoVegas logged me in but then said I'd timed out after 3 seconds whatever I clicked on), whereas some work for logon but I can't deposit (Novibet, I think they lumped me in with the UK when they left the UK market).

I tried a new sign up at a couple of CM Accredited casinos (Twin have this at 96%) but they demand a mobile number and refuse to accept that +44 is a non-UK code, even though it's the IOM international code as well and we are absolutely not part of the UK, so I couldn't even complete the sign-up process there.

Anyway, in the end Rizk remember who I am, will accept my new virtual Revolut card for deposits (layer of separation between bank and gambling deposits), and they have this game at 96%, so I've chucked an initial Ā£75 at it as that's what I had hanging around in my Revolut account.

It's such an absolute faff spending small amounts of your own money for a bit of a gamble these days, that the fact I sought out a casino with this at 96% to have a go with real money is, in its own tiny little way, quite an accolade.

20p spins of course, we don't want to go mad :D

chicken drop has a rtp of 96.5 on some casinos and more importantly has a higher chance of getting the max win @ under 1 in 220000

Tried it yesterday. Had 3 bonuses (and about 1500 teases), one of them gave 100x. The base game didn't really pop off for me but it gave a lot of smaller wins which kept me going for a while.

I like the fact a bonus is never 0x and win spins have a guaranteed amount. Strong dislike for the theme, somehow all leprechaun slots make me think of Rainbow Riches which is a dreadful slot...

I finally got to have a play of this last night for a while, after a shorter play earlier in the day.

I don't mind the theme and its well designed too graphically and audio wise (although the music was grating after 20 minutes of playing lol). Base game was a mix of mostly bits and pieces with a couple of 20-30x wins. Managed bonus 4 times and teased a lot too. If i recall i had 2 bonuses that ended up 7x and i think 10x (or there abouts), and I had 2 lots of win spins - first offered me (again if i remember rightly) 50x or 5 win spins - i took the spins and it only paid around 20x lol second time was better, i got up to 100x offer and 10 win spins which i took and made 108x.

Will certainly give it another try just to see if i can get anything better. :)

The win spins on this are a somewhat volatile choice, you can see the overall win drop down quite badly on a bad bonus if you don't take the straight offer and go for the spins (50% or less than the offer sometimes), but I've also seen it peak out to substantially more than the offer, 40x went out for for 240x or so with a nice number of ways on Kings.

Personally I'd always go for the spins, where I'd be far more wary is if you get into the blue zone, certainly for one pick I'd take the 200x as that can really dick you on a bad pick (50x), 2 and and 5 picks I'll decide when I get there :)

I've got it running in real money mode again tonight, Ā£100 deposit over at Rizk (they have it at 96%), 20p spins, it's quite a nice slot to have running off to the side whilst I play other games and stuff, and the feature comes in regularly enough to have something to look over to.

We have already had quite a few players reach the top of the trail, including this one a player shared, playing at Ladbrokes - Ā£2 into Ā£10,000!

I wouldn't say dream theme but perhaps something with oldschool gangsters like The Godfather. You don't see that many slots with sports themes either.

Definitely no leprechauns or fish. Those have been done to death by now.

One question that possibly got lost in my wall of text above @4ThePlayer , is there any 'best strategy' when it comes to making a choice between the 'green level' basic wins or win spins?

Each win spin is basically 'costed' at 10x, is that what the win spins average out to eventually? Obviously the win spins are the volatile choice to make as they can pay under or over the base amount (which is fine and a nice bit of player choice), but for example if from a sample of one million 100x wins and one million exchanging 100x for 10 win spins, would I end up with the same?
