£38k Dead or Alive Win: will I get paid?

Hey everyone I’m afraid this saga has continued for me. I received the following email a couple of days ago:

Dear Lee,

The review of your accounts is still ongoing.

We cannot disclose the reason as to the delay as we would be jeopardising our Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds responsibilities.

We will require a further 28 days, we will advise you of the outcome by the 9th October. During such time your accounts will remain suspended and you will have no access.

Any pending withdrawals you may have had on your accounts have been cancelled by us and the funds returned to your account balances. Details of the accounts are as follow:

It then just details the money in my accounts.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do with this? And yes the date is wrong... I received a correction email the following day which may mean there’s others involved in this too that where a bit quicker than me to point that out.

By this reasoning they could keep this ‘investigation’ Going for a year without any further information. Also who’s to say they aren’t just biding time? What happens if they decide to fold the casino I won with to avoid paying out. I know this seems far but they have tonnes of different skinned sites I don’t think anyone would be that bothered. I guess I’m just panicking a bit at the minute as they are providing nothing and have not requested anything from me either?!

I have tried with the new recommended site Resolver.co.uk but they don’t have Nektan on their list therefore I have had to put a request in for them to be added so this may take a while.

Any help or nudges in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Lee

Due to the amounts of money involved if I were in your shoes I would start the formal complaints process. Once that has concluded (which experience sadly tells me will not be of any satisfactory outcome) I would then start the legal process of pursuing it through the courts. As you point out there is nothing to stop this dragging on for a year or longer and who knows what conclusion they might reach.

I do, however, think it's highly unlikely they would fold the company or otherwise to avoid payment. If there is any attempt to withhold payment it will most likely be based on their own arbitrary decision and they will simply not pay out.

Sorry that something which should be pure joy has been soured by the casino messing you around.

Hey thanks for the replies. I did actually receive a reply from Nektan in my latest email following the extension which read like this:

“Due to an internal audit a large number of randomly selected players’ accounts were selected for immediate review. Due to the volume of player accounts requiring review the timescale of 28 days which was given for us to complete this task has not been sufficient and we are still reviewing accounts identified in this audit.

Should you wish to escalate this issue you can follow section 12 of our Terms and put a complaint in writing to the Customer Services Manager. You should use the usual support email eurovikingcasino.support@nektan.com and put "For the attention of the Customer Service Manager" as the subject of your email.”

Not sure if I’m just being a little naive but I’ve decided to give them the extra 28 days to allow for this. I can imagine as slotter says that the outcome will not end up being what I want and I’ll no doubt have a long road ahead to see this money but if there’s a chance that my account is just stuck in a queue and may just be opened again after the extra 28 days I’m going to cross my fingers haha

It's a massive shame really as this big win was such good timing as I get married in December and I’m sure a lot of you know how that sort of money would have made these next 2 months so much easier.

I’ll keep you all updated...

BS because we worked this out once - if you get one wild line first spin, 5 more on the next and have a full screen after 3 spins ON TOP OF a 5-scatter initial trigger you'd get about 55k x bet. They're full of shit. I can't be arsed to hook the thread out, but it's there if you look.

I reckon the lying twats have failed to mention is was actually a £4.50 bet at 50p PER LINE in which case the player would still have needed over 16,900x bet which surpasses the best ever image or video by around 6000x . So Nektan need to provide a screenie or play log to prove this.

These casinos moan about twat affiliates but they must think we're as green as the grass to swallow this bollocks that they have invented. It reminds me of the student who turned 100 quid into 80k on, of all things, St*rb*rst. That crap was also mentioned here in another thread.

I want somebody to e-mail them and threaten to complain to the ASA/UKGC unless:

1. They show a verified play log from Netent.
2. They update this bullshit to point out what Nicola said, the player wouldn't be paid under their current terms and conditions for 14 months, final instalment Hallow'een 2018....

Damn, you sound angry! :)

Good Luck Pug.
Hope it works out for me and you get your money.

Can set up a round or 2 in the Obediah Brooke then, god I used to go in there loads when it was Foxy's.

But seriously Pug, hope it works out for you

What a complete pile of fucking bullshit. I'd go straight to eCogra mate. Screw their delaying nonsense, which is all it is. Audit my arse. Like any casino or business would 'audit' in such a way a big amount of people it couldn't cope with off its own back, knowing it would alienate all those customers. Funny that, even more so that by sheer chance their one big winner happened to *cough* be randomly included in this bogus audit. This is classic Israeli business practice I'm afraid. So glad I binned all the Nektans from my sites.

This lot are behaving just like another Alpha Interactive but with a license - same business model (numerous identical skins) same shit withdrawal limits and same attitude when a player wins big. Luckily you can resort to Court Action here in the UK if it comes to it. What I would do in the meantime is PREPARE! Get the spin ID/log and get a written confirmation from Netent that the win was kosher, date time etc. and deposit receipt scan/jpg. The illiterate crap flyer they spammed people with the win on it won't count I'm afraid. In fact I would bypass eCogra and just prepare court action IF it were me, after giving 28-days notice. I am sorry you are going through this stress mate, but this is all too common when shithouse little outfits can't take your cash and have to refund too much of it. You may get lucky and Max retrieves it, but I'd still prepare whilst waiting - it'll cost you nothing.

I see your point on the delay tactics and a big part of me does believe it’s just that.

I’m going to start putting the evidence together as suggested by you and others. I would like to try the normal ADR route if it comes to it but I’m unsure as to who I actually go to. I see you mention eCorga who I’m not really familiar with? I’ve seen IBAS is on their site so does that mean I have to use them? I’ve heard bad things of IBAS taking a very long time themselves

The PAB via Max would likely get quicker results and if it fails would show an arbitration attempt as if ultimately court action is needed it tends to look good that you've tried some sort of arbitration prior to the case, although the case must ultimately be decided on its merits irrespective of arbitration. It certainly does not take 28 days to audit an account, this is why I know they're bullshitting - if you check instances of big winners on here at some casinos using Netent and MG software, the wins are confirmed in a few days, a week max if confirmation is necessary. The flyer is moronic they sent out, but it DOES demonstrate they accepted at that point the win was kosher.......

On the premise that you've broken no terms, I would recommend PAB on the grounds of unreasonable stalling and delaying tactics (it's all greed with this lot, cash flow) right now. You'll either get settlement or if you don't you'll have documented evidence from the PAB which would included Max's conclusions about how they've behaved.

I messaged Max when they used the same tactic with me. He said that, although he'd try to PAB, he didn't hold much hope, as there wasn't much of a relationship between Nektan and CM. So suggested I just go straight to IBAS.

Fortunately, they paid up after about 3 weeks. But it was only a matter of £700, rather than the amounts the OP is owed

I repeat, I am so glad I removed their sites. It's clear now that a pattern is emerging here, and Max may deem a warning is due.

Hey everyone. My saga has thankfully come to a good conclusion.

I sent an email to IBAS, the Gambling Commission and the CMA.

I received an email from the Gambling Commission stating they couldn’t get involved in individuals disputes but they were interested to know why an EDD was being conducted after I had done KYC and they had allowed me to withdraw. They asked for me to forward the email to Nektan and any replies to be forwarded back to them.

Within 40 minutes of sending the reply from GC I received and email from Nektan saying my review had been completed and my account reopened. They have even increased my payout limits to allow me to withdraw all the money within the next week!

So a great result after all. Thanks very much for all the advice I received on here. The champagne will be flowing at the wedding!! :D

I’m afraid I’m not going to post or send the email sent to me from the GC as I can imagine Nektan will then get spammed with it and I still have a lot of money to be withdrawn and don’t want to piss them off.

Hiya Pug - just bumping this up.

Were you finally paid the entire 38K? Please let me know. Thanks!

Haha. How humiliating for Nektan. In a public forum too.

So they were trying their luck not paying the OP and crapped it when the regulator gave them a nudge.

Seems the moral of this story is avoid Nektan like the plague.

The bonuses are awful anyway (4x max cashout anyone) so why reward them with your cash play when this is what you get.

Disgrace.

Yep. Eventually once the ‘audit’ was completed. They allowed me access to my account and for me to withdraw the money. They did also up their withdrawal limits so I could withdraw the full amount in a few days rather than 6 months plus like it would have originally took.

Safe to say I haven’t deposited with them again since.

I did notice they introduced even further restrictions on their bonuses too. I think it was something like £2 max bet when depositing with Skrill!
