£38k Dead or Alive Win: will I get paid?

The mind boggles as to what they will come up with regards to the OP.

If I understood correctly then they have paid them part of their winnings already, correct?

If they've paid part of the win then surely they are openly "admitting" that no terms were broken, they cannot have been, otherwise NONE of the win would have been paid surely?

From where I am sitting then providing the OP does not play their balance back then a month from the original w/d they should be able to withdraw and be paid more.

I'm crossing my fingers that this logic is applied but from what I've heard in the past and I've read today from me researching around it some casinos will do anything to avoid paying out.

The changing of the terms is very worrying but even with this change I was playing with cash so it shouldn't make a difference

Has anyone heard anything from Nektan in relation to these account suspensions yet? I presume they're going to string it out to the full 28 days but you never know...

I haven't heard a thing. They can bonus-ban me, or even close my account. But i'm ready for a fight, should they try to deny my withdrawal.

Great spirit! I'll be with you. With the size of the balance here it'll be worth spending the money it needs to get it out. I'm still hopeful they're just stalling...

Well they're certainly getting some bad PR here. Is it really worth the relatively small amount of money ( to them )in question ???

There may only have been 213 CM members who have read this thread.

But if you also take into account the non-members who read the forums, and going by the statistic listed on the CM homepage - '50,000 unique visitors per month', that a lot of potential customers who may be having second thoughts about joining or continuing playing at a Nektan site

Yep i agree with you there. I am surprised more people haven't been effected. It appears its a DoA thing and i'm sure plenty of people were playing it. Maybe if the decision goes against us more people will come looking for info

Make that 214;)

Unfortunately for them, "Yourshire" players are covered by UK regulations, which means that the contract between player and casino is covered by UK consumer contract laws. Since they have paid part of the win, they have accepted it's validity, so their only fallback is to rigidly impose their £5K per month term. Even this might not save them, as this could be construed as "treating the consumer unfairly", and may also be against UKGC regulations on the timely payment of winnings.

Since they chose to use this win for PR purposes, they can't moan if it is also revealed that they haven't actually PAID the winning player, but have suspended their account for "enhanced due dilligence", and under even their normal terms, full payment will not have been made till after Christmas.

Yeah, I think a lot of casinos took on a UKGC license without fully appreciating the implication of UK consumer laws, the ASA and the CMA etc

Good luck guys. What a disgrace to the Gambling Commission that licensed operators are still able to pull this sort of shit in 2017.

GOOD NEWS from Nektan.....

I received this email today..

Dear Brian,

Thank you for your reply.
Please accept our apologies for the delay in sending any detailed reply to your queries.
Due to an internal audit a large number of randomly selected players’ accounts were selected for immediate review. Due to the volume of player accounts requiring review a timescale of 28 days was given for us to complete this task. We are still reviewing accounts identified in this audit but I'm happy to inform you that we have now completed the review of all of your accounts and, as we have found no anomalies with the accounts, they have now been re-opened.
During the course of this review all activity on your accounts was frozen and your pending withdrawals were cancelled with the funds returned to your respective casino account balances. We apologise for the inconvenience this review and the delayed payment of your winnings has caused you.
You have balance available for withdrawal in your account with Pyramids Fortune Casino. Please re-request the withdrawals from these accounts and we will process them within 24 hours.

Kind Regards
Jaydan

Your pretty new here it seems :)

I can 100% assure you that not all of them are made up. I would say that around 95% of press releases casinos do are genuine. They have to be especially by the big named players anyway. Cos they fall under higher scrutiny than the less known casinos do.

Also If you checked out the screenshots o rama section you would find many thousands and thousands of win screenshots and also videos of really huge wins.

i myself Have had some myself. My best was in jan 2017 on a 0.40cent spin on a yggdrasil slot called Holmes Secret of the stones. I won the maximum progressive of €12,200 ish euros. So I can assure you it is not a ploy.

I mean big wins

Hey everyone I’m afraid this saga has continued for me. I received the following email a couple of days ago:

Dear Lee,

The review of your accounts is still ongoing.

We cannot disclose the reason as to the delay as we would be jeopardising our Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds responsibilities.

We will require a further 28 days, we will advise you of the outcome by the 9th October. During such time your accounts will remain suspended and you will have no access.

Any pending withdrawals you may have had on your accounts have been cancelled by us and the funds returned to your account balances. Details of the accounts are as follow:

It then just details the money in my accounts.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do with this? And yes the date is wrong... I received a correction email the following day which may mean there’s others involved in this too that where a bit quicker than me to point that out.

By this reasoning they could keep this ‘investigation’ Going for a year without any further information. Also who’s to say they aren’t just biding time? What happens if they decide to fold the casino I won with to avoid paying out. I know this seems far but they have tonnes of different skinned sites I don’t think anyone would be that bothered. I guess I’m just panicking a bit at the minute as they are providing nothing and have not requested anything from me either?!

I have tried with the new recommended site Resolver.co.uk but they don’t have Nektan on their list therefore I have had to put a request in for them to be added so this may take a while.

Any help or nudges in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Lee

I do feel for you mate

They really are thick as shit though. Firstly they put Yourshire now they say wait 28 days but at least by 9th October. Its the FKIN 14th Now (So I presume they mean November)

FWIW, I think I would just drop a line to the UKGC just to make them aware of these delays. It doesn't take 28 days to do these checks. We do them 99.9% of the time without the customer even knowing we have done them and within a day or two.

Good Luck

Thanks. I’ve just sent off an email to the GC, IBAS and the CMA after doing a bit of googling to see who else may be interested. I’ll see what they say but from what I’ve seen it can sometimes take them more than 28 days to reply...

I’ll be back here with any updates I get and no doubt looking for any further advice. Thanks

I have also had this email, received it on the 14th of September, waited the 28 days and then received the ridiculous second email stating the same about Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing..... Did you end up raising cases with IBAS etc? Could do with some advice on what I should be doing next? I was only ever playing roulette with cash and if I lost my cash attempt to make wagering using the bonuses they offered.

Mike
