There are many times i believe governments should be authoritarian in their treatment and support for addiction.

Alcoholics, drug addicts and sufferers of mental illness are allowed to destroy their lives and their families without limitation or intervention. For the large part unless the addict admits themselves to a clinic nobody can stop them.

I dont know of such measures being used to combat those issues and they are much bigger problems.

Its a good idea but it becomes an infringement of your personal liberty when its pushed on the majority because of the minority.

Whose to say i cant spend my spare cash as i want anyway? Is my Xmas shopping budget going to be restricted soon because the do-gooders deem my spend as extravagant. Will it be turned into fruit and veg vouchers to ensure i am spending as i should on what i should? Is this even democratic? Bloody hippies!

The authoritarian 'left' has never been good for anyone- look throughout history. Control over people for their own 'good' just ends up with a load of their liberties being removed.

They'll get around it somehow, like claiming it's a business expense or something like that and not an actual loss. Or the casinos will apply the funds from their end and deduct from affy earnings.

That’s horrible news. Thankfully I get my smokes from the lads offshore so don’t pay that much. About £50 for 200

I think it might be a rumor but cigarettes are like nearly $30 for a pack of 20's so for 30's its $42
