Facebook Issue

Hey guys,

Just checking if following is normal?
Was logged out of FB on my mobile and laptop at home while always logged in.
Got this weird message on the FB login page:




It's on the legit FB login page and no redirect or anything so I decided to go along and sent my drivers license through above page and got following e-mail:





Never ever had this before and now I am thinking this is not a legit action from FB?
However it all seems legit to me.

Anyone else can have a look and let me know?

But i would say i think its legit. I tried typing the address on it from your shot and it takes me directly onto my facebook page as im logged in. so it looks like it is indeed facebook thats asking you for id.

Googled it and yes facebook to ask people sometimes for id to prove who they are. Happens occasionally as someones reported the account for some reason or another.

Why am I being asked to upload an ID?
There are two reasons why you may be asked to send a scan or photo of an ID to Facebook:

To show account ownership: Your security is important to us. We ask for an ID so that we don't let anyone into your account except you.
To confirm your name: We ask everyone on Facebook to use the name they go by in everyday life. This helps keep our community safe.
Keep in mind that after you send us a photo or scan of your ID, we'll permanently delete it from our servers.

Me either.

Maybe its just a random check or maybe for some reason they think someone else has tried hacking or accessing your account. Whatever the reason its genuinely from facebook.

It is legit - I had one a while ago to contact some people through (a Faecebook account) and I got the same all of a sudden, scan ID until then I couldn't log in. I told them in good old Anglo Saxon to fuck-off, they could insert their Adspamsnoopbook account into themselves as painfully as possible. That was that.

Stopped using FB about 3 years ago, never had a problem since

Nowt against any active users but my personal main "Abandon Ship" causes were

1) Not interested what you had for breakfast / having for tea
2) Totally don't care if you woke up with man flu or your ass is a touch sore etc etc
3) Wow, your at the seaside, I'm impressed - NOT

I'll stop now and take my tired self to bed, after posting the fact on FB!
