There are essentially 3 ways to beat a sportsbook for money:
1. Find pricing at a value to the market
2. Use promotional offers to make pricing a value in the market
3. Get information the bookmaker does not have when he sets the price on his bets

Most sports bettors focus on #3. Most sports bettors lose money.

So, my tip is, focus on 1 and 2. :)

I do a bit of sportsbetting but nothing too shabby as in my opinion it is very hard to win money on them.
To win serious money on for example football (my fav sports for betting) you have to play accumulator bets and hey there is always 1 game that **cks up your betting slip... :D
To play single bets and win big money you need to put on big money...

Guess one has to be lucky with horses or dogs,do a pick at random ticket and cash in when winning...
A friend of mine won €10k once this way, just a random mix and match ticket with some horses on it and they all came in the way the computer placed the random bets for him...Not bad for a €25 ticket...

Or you have to have Dynamo / Steven Frayne in your name and just remote view the results of sport events... :D:lolup::p

I know the feeling happened last week on the cl games made a combo bet but Ac milan failed to win . So no gambling on this weeks cl games. You have a favorite website you place your bets?

Hahahaha that hurts as PSV Eindhoven is my fav. team.
Supporter since 25 years! :D:D

Sorry for that one. ;)

When I play I used to play at William Hill sportsbook but since I have closed that account months ago due to huge losingstreak on their slots and poor CS I now moved to Unibet, pure for sportsbetting..
Or sometimes I go to the local bookie... :)

Are these tips for all sports betting? Or just for football or another sport?

That was one tip, and it was for betting on any sport. Focus on finding pricing at a value to the market, or use promotions to create value prices. :)

Lots of good NFL and NCAA promotions coming out this time of year. Good Stuff!

You think PSV will end up playing the champions leuge? heard of a friend of mine they could have won the last match.

I bet mostly on bwin, never placed bets with unibet are the quotations similar to the other big company's?

In my opinion Unibet and Bwin do not offer the highest quatations for sports betting. Although they have many betting options, they do get surpassed by William Hill, Bet365 and 32Red if you're looking at their quotations. You can easily check this by going to a site like soccerstand and click the 1x2 button next to a match, and all quotations will pop up for an individual match.

Over the years I've tried several betting techniques. Pumping a huge sum on an individual match is a way to win big money. Unfortunately I've only been losing when I did that this years...losing a 1050 euro bet on Juventus, 800 euro bet on Barcelona and several smaller bets. Its a strategy but it does bring considerable risk when it doesnt work out the way it should.

The only successfull betting technique to make continious profit on sports betting that im aware of is the arbitrage system betting. This when you spot the differences in odds between several bookmakers, and end up betting on all three possibilities (win) (draw) (loss) but with different amounts of money to ensure a profit of 1-5 % of your total bet. Unfortunately such odds are hard to spot though, but there are websites doing the work for you.

Arbitrage definitely works, and I will happily take an arb' when I find one. :)

There are also other methods that work, but they all amount to a slow grind, taking advantage of small opportunities as they present themselves. If you're looking to turn a small bankroll into a large one by betting on sports you either need a lot of time (and patience) or a lot of luck! I'm a slow grinder.

PSV played a very good 1st half indeed and should have been leading by 2 goals or so.
But overall I think Milan will win tonight,as they have the better squad and more experienced players.
But I hope my team will give them a hell of a fight at least tonight.

So think PSV will be back in groupstages of Europa League. ;)

Thanks Mozaik for the TIP! Never understood what arbitrage system betting exactly meant. Thanks to your explanation its now clear:). I am going to look for some websites and hope to find some good info.

The Italian competition I avoid, met some guys in Italy and they said most of the games are sort of rigged. And with the Italian football scandal of 2006 and 2011 in my head there is no good point for me to bet.

Good luck tonight and have fun watching the game, hope for you that psv wins! Think I watch the game tonight also, if I can find a good stream.
