What is the absolute worst bookmaker you can think of? Well I bet they are no where near as bad as Irish firm Boylesports. Recently, despite being WELL DOWN & NEVER having made a withdrawl from my account I was most surprised to see that every bet I tried to place was rejected. When I phoned them all they would say is "Trading Department decision" over & over again. No explanation whatsoever. When I asked them if I was barred, I got the reply "Of course you are not barred sir". Just to test out exactly how bad it was I tried to have ONE POUND on a horse @ 6/5 and the bet was refused! As I still had £80 in my account I wanted to invest it, so I then tried to back Bolton @ 8/1 with £40 each way @ 8/1. Bet rejected again. When I phoned them again they had the cheek to say try reducing the stake! As I had already tried to have a £1 e/w on them AND BEEN REFUSED I just had to laugh at them. What would it maybe be acceptable to have 50p each way? I said in a very sarcastic way. Trading Department decision was all I got back. If anyone on here is thinking about using this bookie, then I would think again. I was forced in the end to close my account as no bets were being accepted.
Now I do completely understand the need for bookmakers to restrict certain persons accounts, But to do this to a player who is actually LOSING is completely out of order.
I have worked out why they did it. When I bet horses (everyday!) I like to take good early prices. This is what pissed them off even though I was losing. Because I was doing this I MIGHT have won. They could not possibly risk that!
Below is a price comparison chart from one of today's races. If you look at it you will clearly see that Boylesports are the worst (or joint worst) price on EVERY SINGLE RUNNER! Great value bookie that is I must say.
