Liverpool has continued to demonstrate their inefficiency both at the defense and attack. They have had 5 draws after 10 matches. It has been so difficult for them to win matches since the season started both at home and away including EUROPA. Today substitute Christian Benteke scored at the 77th minute and it was so difficult for them to hold on till the end of the game but allowed Southamton's Sadio Mane to equalize at the 86th minute. This goal denied Jurgen Klopp his maiden victory at Anfield as Manager as it is his third consecutive draw with the club. Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers had 2 draws, won 3 and lost 2 that led to his sack. The presence of the new manager has not had any positive impact on the performance of the team so far.

Bit harsh isn't it? Klopp's been there about 7 minutes. He isn't even going to know his squad fully until everyone's back from injury etc and he's tried a few things out. The early signs of Klopp's input won't show until at least Christmas, right now he's just a rather expensive motivational speaker for a bunch of players he probably doesn't want.

With a bit of luck he'll poach half of Dortmund's team (what's left of it) and get rid of some of the deadwood. I can envisage Liverpool making 5th quite easily although Klopp is quite an attacking manager, so there'll be hardly any draws with him soon. It's win or lose......Heavy Metal Football as he calls it!! lol

He's been asked by a BBC reporter about the team he inherited from his former managers and I also think that the team doesn't fit the style of football he likes to play. Quick pressing, fast attacking after conquering the ball, one-touch-football. He will need time to form this.
In Dortmund he needed 2 years. In his 3rd and 4th season he won the Bundesliga-title very surprisingly with this style. Only after that the other teams started to adapt to that by defending very eagerly.

I hope he will get the time to build up something. I'm more interested in the PL since he's the manger there and he's really a fascinating character, very encouraging and he can motivate the team that every player is willing to give his best. Not really a "normal one" :D

I wish him and Liverpool FC all the best.
