Introduction from Michael Bluejay / Easy Vegas

Hi, I'm Michael Bluejay, most known for my website Easy Vegas. I've actually been a member here since 2004, but I don't think I did the introduction thing before now. I don't participate in forums much, including this one, but sometimes I check them to see if there are any questions I can...

Is running a casino affiliate website legal in US?

I know this is an ancient thread, but it still comes up prominently in Google searches, so it's still being read. I wouldn't say that a U.S. affiliate promoting unlicensed U.S. casinos has nothing to worry about. Some states have laws that say that "promoting" or "encouraging" gambling is just...

Question Which of these Vegas casino lists do you like better?

Thanks, Nicola! Anyone else want to contribute?

Question Which of these Vegas casino lists do you like better?

I've got two lists of Vegas casinos on my site, one static and one interactive. I'm trying to figure out which one to make the default (linked from the main menu). So, which do you like better? Static or Interactive

Question As a player, what do you want from a casino? What is important to you?

My priorities aren't listed...yet. (1) Accredited by Casinomeister (2) Free-play games available without registration (3) RTP (theoretical + actual) listed for each game

    Idea for combatting problem gambling

Thank you for the replies. brianmon, about the questions you raised, they're all just details. As I noted in my original post, of course details would need to be worked out. None of them is insurmountable, and we shouldn't make the perfect the enemy of the good. I won't try to tackle all the...

    Idea for combatting problem gambling

I know many people are unconcerned with problem gambling, and dismiss the idea by blaming the gambler for not having more self-control. There are two powerful arguments against that. First, in recent years psychological research has demonstrated conclusively that the part of the brain...

How long to wait for a response from a casino rep before posting a complaint?

The instructions for posting a complaint say that I must notify the casino rep first. (1) How long should I wait for a response from the rep before I can consider them non-responsive and go ahead and post my complaint? 24, 36, 48 hours, 1 week, what? (2) Whatever that time period is, can...

Casino Complaint BOVADA - Locking Jackpots, taking profit for themselves, cheating the players

Probably, it's messages like the previous one that caused Bovada to not pay much attention when the real broken-Betsoft-slots issue was reported to them. You know, the boy-who-cried-wolf kind of thing.

Casino Complaint BOVADA - Locking Jackpots, taking profit for themselves, cheating the players

Bovada's earlier answer about their "certified RNG" was likely a form letter. Imagine how many times a day they get accused of having rigged games just because someone loses. Early on they probably wrote a generic reply to cover those situations, back when they had only RTG games and not any...

Casino Complaint BOVADA - Locking Jackpots, taking profit for themselves, cheating the players

NEWS FLASH: Bovada just emailed its players, announcing that they're increasing the progressive jackpots on the games they're keeping by $1.25 (which, according to my math, pretty much matches the amount of the progressive contributions to the Betsoft jackpots that were removed)...

Casino Complaint BOVADA - Locking Jackpots, taking profit for themselves, cheating the players

I was wondering the same thing. It's a question that Bovada and Betsoft should address. On 6/23, I told Bovada, "Once the problem is confirmed, you'll need to refund the progressive contributions made by the players to them and then reset the jackpot levels. I know that could be a tedious...

Casino Complaint BOVADA - Locking Jackpots, taking profit for themselves, cheating the players

NEWS FLASH: Bovada just sent its players an email message with a long list of games that will no longer be available. They're all Betsoft games, though Bovada didn't identify them as such. The message apologizes because Bovada knows that "a number of these games featured progressive jackpots...

Casino Complaint BOVADA - Locking Jackpots, taking profit for themselves, cheating the players

Yes, that's the thing, I think they'd be easily forgiven for unknowingly having bad software, but their handling of the matter has been very slow and communication nearly non-existent. I don't think "just one more response" would be sufficient to save face, though, unless that response is a...

Casino Complaint BOVADA - Locking Jackpots, taking profit for themselves, cheating the players

Well, it's been over a week since Bovada pulled the Betsoft progressive jackpot slots. And still not a word out of them. I wonder whether there will ever be more news about the issue, or if this is the new normal.

Casino Complaint BOVADA - Locking Jackpots, taking profit for themselves, cheating the players

Casinomeister has issued a Warning about Betsoft, recommending players not play Betsoft games with progressive jackpots. (I think they accidentally left out the word "progressive", but I'm sure that's what they meant.)

Casino Complaint BOVADA - Locking Jackpots, taking profit for themselves, cheating the players

CL-Ed, how did you see the jackpots were pooled, when the affected games don't appear at Bovada? I thought your scraper had to make a bet to get the header info which includes the jackpot amount?

Casino Complaint BOVADA - Locking Jackpots, taking profit for themselves, cheating the players

I just put in a request at Casinomeister for Betsoft to be placed in the Rogue section, and for a Warning to be issued about Betcoin.ag.

Software Complaint Please consider Rogue-ing Betsoft software and Warning about Betcoin.ag

What I'd really like to see is all the Betsoft casinos putting pressure on Betsoft to pay the player. But I might as well be wishing for world peace.

Software Complaint Please consider Rogue-ing Betsoft software and Warning about Betcoin.ag

I'm writing to ask our friendly neighborhood Casinomeister to consider adding Betsoft to the list of bad software providers, and to issue a Warning about Betcoin.ag. Betsoft: (1) Recently, a player at Betcoin.ag lined up five jackpot symbols on the payline on the Betsoft game The Glam Life...
