I play slots an awful lot, and I've said it before - I'm convinced casinos can 'tweak' expected returns on specific games... They just feel different sometimes, even taking the slot variance into consideration. It's purely
    IMHO
and from experience, but I reckon they slide the payouts up and down across the board! Of course it's all gambling, so I'm not complaining - and I guess the Las Vegas land based equivalents can do exactly the same with the mechanical money eaters!!!

You're not kidding. I used to supplement my income on video poker.
The last couple of weeks have been brutal!
Me, too -- except it's months of losing for me. I've seen one
    RF
    at an
    MG
casino since before Xmas -- and that was playing penny multiplay -- $40!
    LOL
    Only had one
    RF
    at an
    RTG
casino since before Xmas, playing quarter single line.

I'm assuming the numbers are simply catching up with me -- that I had a great run the first couple of years I played online, and now, I've fallen 'below the curve' to make up for all those months I was 'above the curve'. Perhaps I am nearing the long term.

I'm trying to keep a positive attitude, but I found myself chasing my losses last weekend -- and I'm ordinarily a very tight player. I don't like myself when I'm not totally in control. I've backed off online gambling for the time being, as I'm losing too much too fast and I haven't decided what I'm going to do if my NETeller goes dry.

At any rate, my luck purely sux right now at both
    VP
    and slots.

    Hi everyone!

Back from the dead for this one. Slotster, I can assure you that the casinos cannot! End of story!

The only ones that can remotely influence or 'tweak' these games are the software providers. However, I must add that it simply doesn't make sense risking a multi million dollar business for the sake of a couple of temp dollars, just being caught out a month or 2 down the line by players and the independant auditors or
    ecogra
. That is pretty damn stupid

Besides, all casino games are about odds the only exception is probably poker, but that is maybe me favouring poker... at the end of the day ask yourself the question, in who's favour is the odds?

Whoah, easy tiger! I'm not saying they're doing anything wrong by any means!!! Take Vegas for example.. You can get an identical slot in one casino paying out 95%, then 99% in a different one! It's all part of the big gambling thing for me, and not by any means underhand! Just slots... I'm not sure it's a few temp dollars either - we're talking hundreds of thousands, probably millions - based on a couple of percent here and there... I re-iterate, this is no bad thing.. I hope to catch the 'ups' as often as the 'downs'

My best hit on Harveys so far - 350 coins bet @ 2c a coin ($7). Returned whatever this is (hate that bloody coin display - grrrr). $700 i think!

its quite easy really simmo -

    you won 35588 coins and you are playing 2p or 2c a coin, therefore you win 35588 x 2p (or 2c) = 71176 = £711.76 or $711.76

    if you were playing 5p or 5c a coin: 35588 x 5p (or 5c) = 177940 = £1779.40 or $1779.40

Name and number! 4737 Carling Sir.
