The well finally ran dry for me - I've had a super unlucky streak. :eek2:
~30+ deposits in a row.
It just seems so unlikely to lose that many deposits in a row...
I'm still scratching my head thinking; how is that possible?

It didn't financially harm me and I know that it's bound to happen to some of us who gamble...
It's kind of like seeing the dreaded 20-30 dealer winning streak in BJ; when you are using Martingale.

After experiencing this, I think the No.1 enemy of online casinos is losing streaks. Eventually, casinos will lose all their best customers because of losing streaks and there's nothing much the casinos can do about it. I had some help from the casinos I played at in the form of free chips and good deposit bonuses; but nothing worked.

Eventually even the most hardened gamblers will see the writing on the wall when they face a massive losing streak. Not many people could experience a long losing streak and continue on like nothing ever happened.

I wont will leave the forum; I might pop in from time to time, but I'm definitely quitting online gambling.

Good luck, I'm in a similar place. Every deposit into the wind before I can even hear a bell ring and if I do get a feature it's "Congratulations, you've won $3.25!. I hope you do well. It's very depressing and even though it "is what it is"...it still sucks when it happens over such a long period of time! It starts feeling painful LOL

Feel the same pain here Petro and ive now had 28 consecutive deposits at the same casino without anything coming my way but i am sure its due to me playing my usual slots that i know are high variance and i suppose i just hope my luck will change sooner than later.
Lat year i probably had 8 losing months and 4 winnings months so i hope i will return a happy chappie soon again.
All i have done lately is lower my stake as at least i get a bit longer than i was.
I am sure a break is the right thing to do now and then though and i have said to myself once i hit another 2 deposits with my losing casino then they will be getting a long break.

Enjoy your break buddy.

Sorry

I'm so sorry. I took a couple of months off and returned and won a $5000 JP. It made the break from gambling well worth it.

With the greatest of respect, that's not exactly the smartest or best thing to say in a thread within the Quit Gambling section.

While I haven't quit gambling, (if it were easier and less expensive for USA players I'd be making my usual monthly deposits I suppose) I haven't played in a couple of years with only a handful of deposits the couple of years prior to that. When it was no longer entertainment but aggravation I found myself doing other things.

There is much else out there to do with our time and money, most of those things bring more enjoyment than $50=15 minutes of spin/nothing/spin/$1/spin/nothing.

side note: While the no 1 enemy of casinos may be losing streaks, the no 1 enemy of gamblers is winning streaks.

So best wishes for you! After a few weeks you may find you don't even miss it.

I think I need to stop for awhile too. I've had some wild swings (both up and down), however some recent big wins have caused me to act "stupid" and I've blown back other big wins by not knowing when to quite. I feel like I'm a different player right now than I was just two months ago

Losing deposits

I was of the same mine but did not quit, just changed casinos after a certain amount of deposits. It worked well. I pop in now and then to the casinos I had losing deposit streaks at and drop one deposit and if no bonus, I move along back to ones I have been hitting at.

My longest and worst depositing losing streak without a chance of a sniff of a win was just over 100 deposits. That broke me in the chasing and mindset that it has just got to give it up Sometime. It didn't give it up and I haven't looked back since. Been about 2 years now. I don't even pop in. I have made that casino off limits.

It is good to move to other casinos and make them your home when you can hit and withdraw at least 1 out of 5 deposits. I have found 3 casinos I now play at and rotate withdrawals. It does work. If you do not want to give up gambling, give up the casino and find another. I found 3. Casinos are not loyal, and don't care if your losing, only when winning so playing at one exclusively only limits your win exposure.

I was thinking about that myself; why not play for fun?
As it stands there are better things I can do for fun.

Take a break

Hi,

Taking a break is not a bad thing to do, as chasing your loss will most likely put you into the hole a lot more.

If however you insist on playing vary vary and vary some more, meaning play different games, play at different casinos.

But never beyond what you can afford to lose.

Do not forget this is a form of entertainment and once it stops being that its time to go.

Best of luck in whatever you chose to do.
