I had to watch this about 3 times to let it sink in.

Trump may not become president but ONE DAY someone like Trump will become president.
A philosopher named Karl Popper said that the flaw in Democracy is that it has the potential to elect a tyrant.

It's.......not exactly 'subtle'

Clumsy or not his rhetoric obviously resonates with a lot of people, surely nobody that blatant would ever consider running for persident if his message didn't affect a lot of the populace.

He is just using a lot of people's misconceived fears and paranoia to attain power, nothing new there.

Agree or not, I'm sure many decent citizens will feel their country is being torn apart and are looking for someone to blame.

I still can't envisage him actually entering the Whitehouse anytime soon

This is not a joke right? I mean... this can't be real... This guy makes me very uncomfortable with his wall...

so you build a wall and try to make Mexico pay for it...Mexico says "no"...then what? :p well at least he'd be nice comedy material for the next 4 years or so just like Bush.

Very uninformed posts in this thread. Its sad that the media can sway people so much from their little clips for the public. And btw the media is owned and paid by the left wing. Even in Canada thats the case. ie:CBC

As for the ad posted...i think he posted too much in one ad. I think he should have included his support for local education and not core, his want to fix americas infrastructure, taking care of the vets, repealing obama care. etc etc. He focused too much on the controversial stuff

Im interested in politics so ive done a tonne of research on all of this. Read all of trumps books, interviews, speeches.everything. Same with Hilary Clinton

I believe 100% mexico will pay for it. They make 45 billion dollars a year from the united states in trade. Trump knows that and can use that to his advantage.

Id rather him over that pathetic weak idiot Justin Trudeau.

And btw, The director of the FBI, Border intelligence agency and other intelligence agencies have stated there is no way to vet the refugees. They also stated they found fake passport machines held by Isis

Hilary Clinton wants to bring in thousands to North America even though she and her buddy Obama has been warned its dangerous. Trump wants to support a safe zone in Syria.

Trump is also a very successful businessman who has built up tonnes of successful companies. The only falter he really had was in Atlanta when he filed for bankruptcy protection. But I wouldnt quite say its his falter...the entire state was crumbling financially. He made money and left. The USA is 21 trillion dollars in debt. I think what they need is a successful business man.

I laugh at the people saying Trump is inducing fear and taking advantage of it. Really? Last time I looked Americans are constantly dying in their own country by terrorists. And are threated constantly by Isis...al quada etc.

Hes the only one who tried to fight for the USA not to invade Iraq. And low and behold we come to find out he was right.

the reason why Trump is leading in all the polls around America..is because America is tired of the once a month terrorists killing inside their country and their idiotic politicians making promises and not keeping them. They have a chance to elect a successful business man and not a politician...so Im not surprised.

Do I think he will win the election? Probably not..because too many people are swayed by bias and false news clips and articles.

Its either Trump or Hilary. And if america elects Hilary...lol...

Not really, trump steaks? trump university etc

He's someone who has built his reputation of success on his father's money, all his private ventures failed miserably

On the plus side, he might let Americans gamble online freely lol,

also must watch

Clinton should make a promise to deport Drumpf to Mexico if she becomes the president.

He had a million dollars to start with. Built that into 10 billion. Hes a very successful business man.

Also, doubt he would allow online gaming. Alot of his friends are in the casino business. Steve Wynne etc...and they dont want americans to play online because they lose business

According to the Forbes "Rich List" Trump has done pretty average increasing his fortune, scoring a self made score of 5/10.

A 1/10 is given to people who haven't increased their fortune.

Trump will never be a president no matter what ad campaigns he launches. Although I'm not a big fan of Clinton but here she is the lesser of two evils.

I'm watching to see who his running mate will be.

The next POTUS will be, as always, decide by the Council on Foreign Affairs and the Trilateral Commission.

If they do not want Trump in there and he happens to make it, look for a shot from a grassy knoll. Then whatever toady (like Christie) as VP will be in charge and it will be ssdd.

Isn't it special that all of the other countries know who/what is best for the US?

In all fairness, it's plastered all over the news at every turn. Everyone is getting hyped up for the US elections and I'm genuinely curious to see how this plays out, popcorn in hand

It's not really any different to Obama wading in to the Brexit debate either, at least from a British point of view

And its one of the most controversial presidential races in history so people are going to talk about it especially since Trump is doing so well and polls are showing hes either ahead, on par or a little behind Clinton. So its very very close.

Americans will either elect Hilary which is Obama 2.0. The debt will continue to rise. It now sits at 19 trillion. And America will continue to lose businesses to other countries

Or they will elect a proven businessman who wants to lower the debt. However, he seems much more confrontational which could either be a good thing or very bad.

Both has risk. So its quite interesting to see how it goes. If Trump gets elected, I would be incredibly interested in his 1st 4 months of presidency.

I think almost everyone with an interest in politics is following this story and has an opinion - whatever that may be - and that's understandable, because we're discussing the potential next leader of what is still one of (if not the) most powerful and influential nations on the planet.

Canadian Interest

Canadians have a vested interest because of the proximity....so forgive us if we have opinions...

You are OH SO CORRECT....the Southern Border that Trump wants to close is OH SO CLOSE to Canada!
And the Traffic, in all of it Glory is moving North at a Very Rapid Pace!

BeWare! It is no Fun! and not Funny! and most of it Very Dangerous!

MaryJean

We're next door neighbours; nations that border others always have a vested interest in what's at the door.
Add to be being by and large, a liberal/socialist country, there is cause and effect.

Why do you think most of us rooted for Sanders?

And all of that irrelevant to the discussion - everuone is entitled to an opinion...we needn't live there to have one. Who helms the US affects the entirety of the planet.
