Yep, the Interactive Gaming Council spent $140,000 in 1998 on lobbyists in Washington DC.

Meanwhile, casinos and software providers that have ripped off players are still members of the IGC.

$140,000 seems a bit low to buy any votes ;-) I would think millions would be needed to sway an U.S. Politicians.

Do agree with Jetset though, if it does result in any type of meaningful US regulation, it would be money well spent for everyone involved.
