Hi Folks,
Wanted to get your guys opinion on this.

So i very rarely take bonuses. Find they always come with hassle attached. Only ever take the first deposit bonus because before i start somewhere i like to do my research including a reasonable thorough read of the terms.

Anyway been playing at Casumo a fair amount recently (and losing!) and get an email with a £50 deposit bonus. Was planning on playing there anyway so thought why not take an extra £50. Go to deposit, dont see a link to the terms anywhere around the deposit section. Figured that Casumo has always been decent so shouldnt be any issues. Deposit my usual £150 + £50 bonus

Anyway been playing for a bit and end up with £300 or something like that. Go to check wagering and see a mental amount like £4k left. Totally confused take to live chat where they tell me its all in the FAQ. ok but whats the rule 25x dep +bonus. So i think surely they cap the dep part to the bonus. ie if £50 match bonus max on the deposit taken into the wagering is £50. Nope its the full deposit.

So for me this should be made aboslutely crystal clear when you deposit. If you know this why on earth would you deposit more that the bonus, I know most people here will say read the terms, and yes you are right. But in reality most people dont. For me this is predatory.

I mean imagine a guy depositing £1k decides bugger it will take £50 extra. He gets over £25k to wager for the sake of £50 bonus money. This only takes advantage of those who a) dont read the terms and b)dont understand them.

Anyway would be interested to hear others thoughts.

Be careful with Bonuses!
It is  crucial  that you understand and agree to the terms and conditions of any bonus that you accept. Most of the complaints that come through our arbitration service are bonus related; it would be safe to say that there are tens of thousands of players who have never complained because they realized after the fact that they did not understand or had never read the terms. Nothing in a casino is free – so whenever you see “free” being used, there are stipulations. It is important for you to understand that.

Please check out our Bonus Section that lists the offers given by our Accredited Casinos. No deposit bonuses, welcome bonuses (AKA sign up bonuses [SUBs]), exclusive bonuses, reload bonuses, free spin bonuses...all this and more!

Casumo are known for this crappy bonus attachment I am afraid.

Yes - All their bonuses are 25x D+B. You can withdraw early , but the problem is even if you hit a win early on, some of that money becomes bonus and they will deduct almost half your win and give you the other half.

Maybe they would consider adding special terms or even changing the way bonuses work - IMPO they are taking a few steps back and rather chasing their players away.

Thank you - so glad someone agrees with me... thought i might be being the stupid one here.

I cant complain to much i still withdrew more than i deposited today (withdrew £230 sacrificed around £80-90 bonus) but i just really felt this was taking advantage of people. I mean who on earth would deposit more than the match amount if they knew that the bonus was (full) dep + bonus x 25. It is only those who dont read/understand the terms (sorry i know i am repeating myself but still raging at it)

I honestly don't think they would take advantage of people, but it is a good point. Players must be made aware. You could rather claim the maximum the bonus valuable offers and then make a cash deposit if you lose. That would be the perfect strategy.

Casumo have generally been a very good place to play (Quick Payouts, Cashback and Rewards although limited). They have always had the 25x D+B but not for any predatory reason.

I'm sure they would be open to changing it. I don't like their wagering but its not the worst out there.

Agree up until this never had any issue either. They have a great selection of games for UK players, like the fact you can search for games by software, cashouts no problems (although slow compared to most others). Some of the reel races are very good also.

Anyway this has just served as a reminder to myself to never take the bleeding bonuses... only ever a headache.

Sorry total bee in my bonnet about this one now...

Was just thinking that Playtech are rogued because of a term that affects what <0.1% of players, in reality probably a hell of a lot less, where they have a withdrawal limit on progressive jackpots of $9-15k per month. That effects a tiny minority of players.

The term that got me today surely effects a a much bigger section of players, although obv on a smaller monetary scale. But wouldn't this also warrant a 'not recommended' or 'rogued' status?

Both terms are clearly listed in t+c's and both (imo) take advantage of the player.

Maybe i am taking it too far in which case I will be quiet but still irritating me.

100% = can withdraw 50% of total balance at any time

50% = can w/d 2/3rd's of total

25% = can w/d 4/5th of total

and so on.

As mentioned they've had 25x D+B since as long as I can remember and don't really hide that fact.

Don't think its predatory but do think no one should EVER have to wager their deposit, you'd hardly see this BS anywhere 5 years ago, awful idea that's crept in over last few years. Sadly its catching on at more and more places too :(

I hit a massive 900 euro win (0.40p bet) on Rhino a couple of years back and I'd just gone to support and requested a bonus which they granted (50%)

Slots went ice cold and by time I'd wagered my total balance 25 x I have less than half of that "room dancing" hit left

Only time I'd make an exception these days is on 100% matches where I can just about convince myself as it being fair (equates to 50xB only then)

I am not disputing wagering of D+B. But what i am disputing is wagering part of a D which is greater than the B. In my case if it was made clear i would have deposited £50 taken the £50 bonus and if that didnt work out deposit my other £100 separately. And i think 99.99% of people would do the same if that was made clear. So if they have nothing to hide why not make it crystal clear so you can make an informed decision? I dont think i am in the minority of people who would (wrongly) assume that the match onus would cap at the match amount.

dont bother with the bonus.. if i was you i wouldnt even bother playing there at all. site and rtp are awfull.. they put the rtp of there slots on 15%
