Noticed several "well known" names streaming at unusual hours on youtube, it seems that the impersonation of streamers has kicked off big style on youtube who are all using the same signup links in the text description.

pretty clever setup with matching stolen channel art and re-used content for the "live" stream

so far i've been recommended to watch

jarttuslot - fake channel

Are Slot Streamers a Threat to the Online Gaming industry in the UK? You decide - read the article at Casino Gazette!

Yep, seen quite a few of them on the right hand side panel when I watch Youtube.

With regards the mobbyslots casino, I noticed at the bottom of their page they are recommended by that Gambling Judge website (I mentioned this website in another recent post of mine). I wouldn't trust any casino recommended by rogue affiliates such as Gambling Judge.

It is amazing what length some people will goto.

So basically what they have done is either downloaded the videos or just recorded them when they was live, from those genuine streamers and then basically faked it, copied the same name etc etc.

Well To be fair they wont be online for long. But it also wont be the last. It will just be one of those cat and mouse games. People report them and they eventually get closed then they will just make new accounts and do it over and over again like a merry go around.

So to be fair even if the genuine streamers also tried to get in touch with youtube, I think all youtube will say is they can only close those fake accounts and not stop them from making new ones lol.

Sucks for the genuine youtubers and streamers too. But it has been going on for years now on youtube. millions of genuine videos from well known youtubers get copied and re listed etc etc.

yep its a pretty big set up as far as I can see, I linked a few of the more well-known people as examples but there are at least 10 more showing up from other streamers - all with identical links on the description and the 200 spins text slapped across the channel art.

I tried to report one and couldn't figure out what option to use.

It seemed to me only the original streamer/copyright holder could do anything about this.

It looks like these are all the options available for reporting. Not sure what one to use, but these live-stream fakes are extremely misleading, you can see people in the chat very confused, etc.

Sadly no option for, "scamming piece of shit"

From YouTube's Report Options for: jarttuslots - Casino Stream Online

  1. Sexual content
  2. Violent or repulsive content
  3. Hateful or abusive content
  4. Imminent physical harm
  5. Harmful dangerous acts
  6. Child abuse
  7. Promotes terrorism
  8. Spam or misleading
  9. Infringes My Rights
  10. Captions issue

I would use spam or misleading.
If they are promoting a casino then its easy to argue its spam. Misleading can easily be applied to using someone else's copyrighted video and passing it off as their own.
Are the age settings on it correct, if not, then you could argue it has adult content but is available to under 18's too.

A recommendation popped up for someone restreaming one of Roshteins old streams too, the other day

Yeah I was going to as well.

I report a lot of videos as it is. But as I said in my above post. Even if we reported them, they would just make new channels/accounts and do it over and over and over again. So I really dont think it would make much difference.

But it doesn't stop us all from reporting and yes the spam/misleading one or the harmful and dangerous one might be the right options to use.

Too many gobshites out there on Youtube but I stay far away from them..
I see through their facade fairly quickly when I watch a stream.
It is funny how obvious it is sometimes and the streamer doesn't even know it. :D

Too right - not even 50x - very competitive.

These casinos find new ways to turn me off from gambling on them.

It’s bad enough that my country is blocked from some of the better providers or I can’t win anything on them. Now they are running “infomercials” of fake streamers from months ago playing at bad casinos. Really killing my interest.

The good news is that I finally broke my long losing streak yesterday in winning $75 at Casino Lac Leamy.

Live streamers could include a clock (with date) somewhere on the video. This will make it obvious to viewers that they are not watching a live stream when it's been nicked for a fake site.

Been doing that for a while now, just in case I get targeted.

But having said that, some of these fake streamers are pretty clever and cover up certain stuff.

It is pretty obvious the streams are fake because if you look at the live chat, there is no action despite of the fact that the streamer is responding to chat messages.
