Check out this new email I got from BGO I wonder what they have planned?!

There wagering was never so bad I didn't find so wonder why they are doing away with it?

Wow, so you win money using your own money - that's pretty revolutionary :D

Thankyou, BGO

I'm just intrigued of what they will do for promos if there's absolutely no wagering?(i mean even VS have wagering on the bonuses) Wager free spins this must mean too!?

Perhaps it's those 'extra spins' that are all the rage I hear

Interestingly I didn't mention it here but BGO did send me a wager free £5 a month or so back...Perhaps that was when the wheels were in motion! Their reason was we haven't seen you for a while.

For promos they will do wager on whatever slot and be part of a raffle, then they'll give the prizes to the VIPs who spent the most as usual, it's getting harder and harder to be 'creative' with promos these days

When it was 35xB, This was changed a few month's back to 50xB which I think is OTT.

I'll guess there aren't going to be many 100% deposit bonuses given out in the future!

Used to look forward to these, usually a Friday, soon as they migrated their Rhino to HTML5 I stopped bothering :(

Possibly mate but this was for completing a survey they sent out!

No the 5 wasn't for doing a survey. I got the 5 just because I'd not been on for ages. Did get a 5 for a survey too though.

I didn't know they had upped it to 50x wagering!

They've introduced something called "Fair Spins", which basically are wagerfree freespins with no cap on winnings.

But tbh, if they will promote their stupid "50 Freespins" when you deposit £50, the value is only £10 or worse £5 in freespins on a crappy slot of their choosing. So still pretty bad.

BGO's announcement also follows Nisha Arora, the Senior Director for Consumer Enforcement at the Competition and Markets Authority which has launched enforcement action against several online gambling operators suspected of breaking consumer law, questioning the fairness of signup bonuses across the industry, stating that: “Players should be able to walk away with their money when they want.

BGO Entertainment CFO Hannah Westley added that the company had also felt for some time that the market was over bonusing, moving from 100% match bonuses with 20x wagering requirements when the company’s principals first entered the market in 2001 to today's 200% and 400% no deposit bonuses, free spins, higher turn requirements, max bets and less/non contributing games.

to today's 200% and 400% no deposit bonuses

400% on no deposit is £0 surely

BGO seem to be trimming affiliates back too, certainly sub affiliates, I have had notices from 2 companies that the affiliate agreements with BGO has ended.

Blatantly an accountants decision here who doesnt really understand the industry, put 2 and 2 together and made 5. Why would you waste cash deposits with a casino that is NEVER going to reward you with a significant bonus when you could give them to a casino that will offer them from time to time. Yes there are exceptions to that way of thinking, but I'm pretty sure thats a significant minority.

This is driven by greed, nothing more nothing less. I give it three months for a reversal.

And while Buddy Partners who covers their brands BGO and Powerspins I just received this misleading email today from Powerspins. They are looking to receive huge fines!

Just received this email from a so called BGO Buddies brand. Just makes me laugh make sure you update and follow UKGC rules and they still send this crap out to players???

Notice just the subject. Misleading me thinks also are they still allowed to use free spins when this requires a deposit. (PS im reporting them to UKGC now - I have never made a deposit at Powerspins)

I can't be bothered uploading picture as well but its states > GET UP TO 50 FREE SPINS WITH YOUR NEXT DEPOSIT NO STRINGS ATTACHED! and a big fat square DEPOSIT NOW.

Always been a poor site technically. I was only there for the previously generous reload bonuses so now I shall close my account. Not interested in a few free spins at minimum bet level.

If my little old memory serves me correctly... aren't BGO the first to be fined by the UKGC for misleading promos? Isn't this where all of the jargon relating to free spins / extra spins originates?

I may have dreamed it but I kinda recall a UKGC twitter feed email not long back.... x x

Update: £300,000 fine.... see

If they want to really stand out I suggest they employ a long running idea of mine, namely "Happy Hour!" where all slots play as loose as anything, with RTP upwards of 200% :cheerleader::cheerleader:

That's a good promo

If only lol wouldn't it be better if it was 500% RTP for a day on all slots? hahahaha

Most likely moving to an afterwager rewards system as opposed to upfront cash before you've so much as played a game. A much more sustainable model for both business and player.

Every operator is tightening their belt because the UKGC is a tax hungry monster. Affiliates need to start respecting the rules too, I've seen some very unscrupulous marketeers in my time and the moves being made should make life better for the player by hitting the affiliates in the pockets.
