Hi Guys,

I am shortly going to be unemployed which will obviously reduce my gambling budget to near zero, I was wondering if it would be best to close my casino accounts or self exclude.

I don't have any gambling problems and have never self-excluded but want to resist the temptation on my reduced budget. When I am back working again I will resume my little bets.

Are there any good reasons for doing either or will closing my accounts mean I can't reopen them or if I self exclude will this prevent me opening new accounts elsewhere.

Thanks

Andy

Only self-exclude if you have a gambling problem. The UKGC is working towards a central SE database and that could give you grieve if you want to play in the future.

I would suggest activating "Take-a-Break" or "Cool-off" periods of 6 weeks. Re-do them when they expire until you feel ok to have the next flutter

Self exclude is if you have a problem. I wouldnt take that route because you will never be allowed back at a casino you self exclude from.

Absolutely take a break for whatever amount of time you think you will be gone for. Then you wont be tempted and it will never be on your mind because no matter what, you cant do anything about it.
