Hi guys. I don't know if I am posting in the right place, but I'm sure all will let me know if not! :p As most of you know, its been quite the year. I am happy to say that I have 2 more weeks left of radiation, and my bone scan came back clear!!!!!!!!!!!!!Which means that the cancer did not spread and I am here with you guys for another year. Now down to business. I went back to training/work and it was very difficult for me. Outside of being so freaking tired, it was very hard to sit in one spot for too long, and actually went and did battles when they were not watching ;) The joys of working in a virtual environment. I have a lot of knowledge with websites and always learning more, so I have been seriously thinking of doing affiliate work. I am not entirely sure what this ensues, what turns people away, what attracts people. I guess all in all....proper etiquette. I'm heading to bed right now, but any feedback, advice would be great. Thanks and goodnight.

First of all - great to hear the good news on your health situation!

If you know how to make websites, then becoming an affiliate will be a very easy transition - the hard bit is making a success of it, as there are 1,000's of other people doing the same thing - some of them are BIG companies employing dozens of staff.
Be prepared to work very hard for 6-9 months before seeing any results. Many would-be affiliates give up too soon because they think they can just throw a few banners onto a web-page and start making money. It don't work like that!

Be careful which casinos you chose to work with - if you sleep with dogs, you wake up with fleas!

Thank you kindly sir! As you know I was terrified of doing chemo, and really felt that it was not the right time for it. It was a huge gamble, and I came out ahead.this time! With doing affiliate websites, what is usually the best direction to go for directing traffic? I was told by someone else that pay per click, but also having my own business online, I know how problematic this can be. I've seen fake traffic more then I care too.

I tried PPC when I first started - a complete waste of time & money. I would NOT recommend that.

But I'm not the best person to ask about marketing - I consider I have basically just been very lucky with traffic, as I haven't really tried to advertise my sites or done any serious SEO. I have just relied on filling my sites with good, useful content for my fellow players - and by luck I have achieved page 1 on Google for various key terms.
