I have only played live casino blackjack and roulette. Of course when you play these, you usually lose. And even if you win a bet, well its the same bet size you make etc.

I never liked playing slot machines because i know you are going to lose since the house advantage is huge. I also never enjoyed any type of slot machine etc.

However, it seems like these are the only type of games where its possible to win a big jackpot etc? I notice in many casino games, they would show something like the jackpot for this slot machine etc would be like 5000 dollars or 20000 dollars or even 6 figures. First off, for jackpots that size, what is the minimum amount you would need to bet in a spin etc? For example i saw that on pokerstars casino, there is some game called millionaire island and some person won it and won 1 million dollars or so. Does anyone know how much that person need to even spin to hit that 1 million dollar? I mean it has to be at least 5 dollars right?

Is there any review here of what slot games or similar where the house edge isn't that that much where you have the chance to hit a big jackpot?

Also has anyone here hit big jackpot? If so, im curious but did you ever have issues getting paid etc? I read many sites have issues like this where they say there was an issue with the casino game and then don't pay out etc.

Progressive jackpot slots usually have a very low RTP and the odds of hitting a jackpot is very low as well, so I wouldn't really advice you to go jackpot hunting. Some slots have a much higher chance of hitting the jackpot than others, with Mega Joker from NetEnt being one of the "easier" ones to trigger (still very hard).

One other option could be to play very volatile slots. They are not jackpot slots per se, but slots like Dead or Alive can create wins in the range of 2500-5000x and above. The house edge on Dead or Alive is 3.20%.

The house edge on a lot of slots is not that much different to Roulette. The difference is, you can only win x36 on standard roulette - but you can win x100+, x1,000+ or even x10,000's on normal slots (not jackpot ones).
The chance of hitting a big progressive jackpot is many millions to one = folly to chase that IMO.

I personally would not recommend any of those casinos you listed there - use the Accredited list instead.

wonder why you say that? When I used to work in a casino, most of the Jackpot winners we had were from Norway

Yes it is random.
The sample size of people who have won those really big jackpots from Microgaming / Netent is really small compared to some of the "tiny" jackpots offered by lets say for example RTG games that go off all the time.
That small sample size has resulted in an uneven geographical distribution of winners.
That uneven distribution happens to currently favour Scandinavian countries.
Which results in the saying around this forum that only people from there can win even if people know that location has no influence on the odds.

As for the original question:
Only play at accredited / reputable places in case the extremely unlikely happens so you actually get the money.
As for odds / bet size, no game publishes the exact odds of a specific win happening but rather just the overall RTP, but most of them either adjust the odds based on bet size or adjust the jackpot amount (there are also some games that require a certain minimum bet to qualify for jackpots at all, but they are far and few these days).

For example when playing live blackjack, if you don't bet any side bets, the most you can win is 1.5 your money on a blackjack. But if you bet those sidebets, you could win 30x or 40x or even 100x if the 3 card is trips, straight flush or same trips etc.


Thus games where you bet say $10 for example. The most you can lose in one hand is $10, but you could possibly win say $250 or more? Like 25x your bet? In blackjack you cannot do this unless you bet those side bets.
