Hmm, a 100% bonus!! Maybe I'll try a larger deposit.
So I deposited £100 with the bonus code 'WELCOME'

NO BONUS credited

Went to live chat, and was told that the offer wasn't for UK players.
But they'd pass the issue onto the relevant department, But since it was Friday evening, and the start of the weekend, they couldn't say when I might receive a reply - It could be Monday

So....
Why are they sending 'welcome' emails offering bonuses, which can't be taken?
Why is there no mention in the email stating that the offer isn't open to UK players?
If their system know i'm from the UK, and therefore not to give me a bonus, Does it accept the bonus code?
Why is there no clause in their T&C or bonus terms stating that the offer isn't open to UK players?

Be careful with Bonuses!
It is  crucial  that you understand and agree to the terms and conditions of any bonus that you accept. Most of the complaints that come through our arbitration service are bonus related; it would be safe to say that there are tens of thousands of players who have never complained because they realized after the fact that they did not understand or had never read the terms. Nothing in a casino is free – so whenever you see “free” being used, there are stipulations. It is important for you to understand that.

Please check out our Bonus Section that lists the offers given by our Accredited Casinos. No deposit bonuses, welcome bonuses (AKA sign up bonuses [SUBs]), exclusive bonuses, reload bonuses, free spin bonuses...all this and more!
Its so frustrating when they are doing that,i been receiving emails from casinos while my country is bonus restricted, the last time happened yesterday where one new casino Calzone which are MT Trade and i always get bonuses from most of their casinos but in this newly not and they keep sending me emails with nice deposits offers.

I even asked the support why, which got answer its been send by mistake

Anyways i played at Codeta and they are ok i guess as any Everymatrix casino,KYC verification and money in my e-wallet in exactly 24h

IMO opinion this sort of behaviour shows inefficiency at best and deceptive marketing at worst...and why is a casino so poorly and sparsely managed that it does not have a decision-maker or competent supervisor on duty over weekends?

Good questions above from brianmon, and I hope the answers when he gets them are posted here.

Just had an email from them, saying they've made an exception and credited the 100% bonus, since it was an error on their part, sending me the wrong welcome email. :D:thumbsup:

I wish I'd never bothered now..

Worst session I've EVER had on IR. 409 spins @90p - NO bonuses, NO WD, 45% RTP - £200 gone in 20 minutes

Hello Bruanmon.

My name is Niklas and i work as the manager for Codeta, i am sorry for the confusion regarding that email. We are still trying to locate the issue with UK players receiving the wrong welcome email.

Its not all UK players that get this email, please give me your username and i will give you a compensation.

Today I received this email...

ScreenHunter_153 Apr. 13 18.12.jpg

But after the previous farce. I thought I'd login, just to see if it was indeed showing in a drop-down menu on the deposit page, as stated in the email

After attempting to login, I got this error message...

ScreenHunter_152 Apr. 13 17.58.jpg

Reading between the lines, it looks like they've either blocked or self-excluded me

So much for making a complaint on CM, lol

Well as you can see in my other thread i would never play there again. And i really dont understand why this casino is accredited with that high rating here...

To be fair i still think they've not sorted out the problems here, you could contact Niklas i have made contact on lots of occasions & he has always been prompt in reply's , i only seem to get small matches , but i can request better deals , haven't played there in a couple of weeks as my slot luck has been poor , got hammered on last 5 deposits without any features.

other than that there a good outfit , i know payments could be made quicker & dont like the low level caps on payments which i ran into on my first few days of gaming there.

the same happened to me same email no bonus credited

Won't be playing there again

I signed up with Codeta a couple of months back, all seemed ok but UK players can't play MG games there due to licensing issues.
Same as NoBonusCasino, really annoying - and I haven't played at either casino as much as I otherwise would have done.
Would have been nice if they could have popped up a message upon sign-up telling us this limitation.
Bot seem like well-un and glitch-free casinos otherwise though.

Seems VERY UK unfriendly, yet I have to assume it has a UK licence otherwise it would not be allowed to accept UK players.

There is no problem with UK players playing Microgaming. Microgaming have the necessary UK software supplier licence otherwise ALL casinos taking UK players would have to block Microgaming. There are loads of UK facing casinos that don't have these issues, and where UK players are treated just as well as any other, and they can play Microgaming.

The problem with sloppy marketing that results in players receiving the "wrong emails" can have serious legal repercussions for a UK facing casino under both consumer contract law and advertising standards. This would also apply were UK players presented with the "wrong advert" on the website when viewed from the UK.

At best, this can all add up to a negative first impression for a newly launched venue that puts it at a competitive disadvantage when trying to attract new customers away from their usual sites.

Seems like they're at it again.
Today I received a text message offering a 200% bonus.

So after what happened last time, I went to live chat, and asked an agent if the bonus was valid for UK players, NO REPLY
so after waiting for 15 minutes, I just gave up

Let the ASA deal with it, they won't listen to players, but the ASA telling them not to repeat false advertising practices might reach the people higher up that player feedback can't. Although somewhat toothless themselves, the ASA can refer persistent offenders to regulators with a decent set of dentures.

I do not think its illegal for casino to offer U.K players?

They might get chased for tax, I know a few casino that exept U.K players but some providers are blocked, MG is the main one, also ewallets do not allow you to depo at sites without license? thats the government on there case, my cash so I should chose where to spend it, getting pissed of with peolpe telling me what I can and cannot not do espially when it comes to your own money

just about to sign up until read the terms

This offer is not valid for UK players.

Hello,

The 200 % bonus in UK the other day was valid for UK players. I am sorry that our support treated you bad and did not inform you regarding this.

Support are the company as far as UK law is concerned, so if a member of support mistreats a customer, the company is liable if such mistreatment constitutes a breach of consumer protection law. If an advertisement is distributed and then not honoured by a representative of the company, this falls under the remit of the ASA.

Many companies seem keen to learn the hard way that underinvestment in customer facing staff does not necessarily save money. Many supermarkets have faced large fines for serious breaches of food hygiene regulations, many of which arose from underinvestment and poor training in floor staff.

All three of the Tesco stores serving my town have copped one of these 5 figure fines for serious breaches, you would have thought the FIRST store copping such a fine would have concentrated the minds of the managers of the other two such that they didn't cop their own fines the following year.

It wasn't my case. Other terms would put me off from even signing up and ending up with such an issue.

UK regulators are looking to go even further, and many of the currently accepted bonus terms (like restricted games, game weightings, max bet, no Neteller, etc) could end up being outlawed as being "unfair" in a consumer contract.

Prudent operators would be wanting to have a contingency plan ready in case such changes are brought into the regulations governing UK players, otherwise operators may end up acting rashly in response to an unexpected change and screwing things up.

Hello.

Ok thank you for the information regarding this. I will inform our marketing and support team regarding this so we dont end up missleading our players, as we are very transparent with what we want to offer.
