I think its only a matter of time its either illegal here or we get taxed. In recent years Canadians have seen software providers, banks, payment methods and withdraw methods reduced.

We have lost netent and some big time gaming in certain casinos. We have lost neteller, skrill. Credit cards being blocked. Banks refusing cashouts.

And today I was notified that fortune lounge and gowild can no longer offer the eCheck option for Canadians. This was one of our very few cashout methods that had no charges. One of my other casino's that is actually Canadian can no longer fund my account from my bank as my bank is blocking any transaction to them. I was also threatened if any gaming transactions occur in the future my banking will be closed.

Whats left? ecopayz and wire transfer? Both which have fairly heavy fee's.

Ive also started noticing im being charged a fee on prepaid mastercards. Not by casinos but by the bank itself.

Soon, if not already its going to become too costly for us to play, taxed or illegal.

I stopped a few months ago all gambling online when all these problems started. It's already hard enough to win! I won't be bothered by my bank on top of that with denied withdrawal from a casino.

Espacejeux is just awful for people from quebec. Old igt games with shitty rtp. No thanks.

I didn't have any issues with a withdrawal in February and I actually didn't get charged a transfer fee but I agree that it's only going to get worse for us in regards to online gaming. Less games to play, what games we have are already tight the world over and if PaySafe is eventually disallowed, I can't gamble on those sites any more.

What bank has blocked you from using that already wretched PlayOLG.ca, lockinlove? I use BMO. I also have CIBC but they never allowed its use on PlayOLG.ca.

Looks like it's going to eventually be back to land-based casinos only and that doesn't make me happy as I like the convenience of online gambling. I wish I knew why the government thinks this is going to help them in regards to their shitty excuses for online casinos.

Im not having any issues with pc financial cashouts.

It was sportsinteraction not playolg and the bank was scotia again. I blocked my playolg until they get some real slots.

I live about 20 mins from a casino and I havent been there in probably 3 years. Im actually not even sure why as I enjoy them lol

Sounds grim, we have it so easy over here with so many payment methods, some almost instant. I still just deposit/withdraw from debit card, its always in my account at midnight the day after I withdraw.

Is paypal/netteller/skrill etc not an option for you lot then?

Welcome to 2007 or actually late 2006, You're 10 years late lockinlove. ;)

That's when it all started with losing payment processor's.

I also have cut my play down due to the loss of netent but all these issues you describe and might as well try and go back to live casino (which I am this weekend! Niagara Falls time!). With a change in work shift maybe imminent I might be able to go Saturday's again.

No, Well I have never heard of paypal as a option for gambling, As I just posted we lost netteller first than we lost skrill.

neteller was taken away like 10 years ago. Skrill a few years ago and I dont think paypal was ever allowed. I know for sure it isnt now as its in their policy

hence the word slowly ;)

What it comes down to for me is the fees are just too much. Its hard enough to beat these slots, I mean I know thats not the point, its entertainment with the hope of a win. But you get what Im saying, you do expect to cashout sometimes. I cant even cashout if I win $50. I lose half of that in fees. Even if I have a $300 bankroll, I think what the hells the point cashing out. Im just going to deposit in 3 days. So why not save myself the $25 fee my bank charges, the 2.5% some casinos charge and the 1% I think it is that mastercard is charging. And some casino's you deposit in do it as a cash advance where you get another $4 fee. And the way they make slots these days it just feels hopeless.

Id love to see how much I was charged last year. I would assume $1000 in fee's.

And some of these banks are charging an arm and a leg. Ive been told some have been charging people $15+$15. Now a lot of the casinos are charging us to deposit also. And now mastercard charging us too.

But yeah the loss of netent is huge for me too. I used to be able to jump around and have fun and play tonnes of different games. Now im stuck to like 5-10 that get repeated daily.

I did a $200 cashout from fortune lounge the other day just to be told sorry no more echecks allowed so they sent it via wire and now Im taking a $25 fee.

Im honestly losing interest.

If playolg had half a brain they could steal alot of casino's business

I guess you will be going to Seneca Niagara? Going to Fallsview is just asking for trouble with their 85% slots.

No not this time but we have in the past gone over there. We have to go the other way to the Buffalo airport on Monday to pick up a family member. I am a lil worried how busy it will still be down there due to March break. It was a nightmare last time we went on a holiday weekend.

How do you know the rtp when you are playing live casino? When I am in montreal's casino, I search in the info or options of the game and 100% of the time no rtp is shown. I asked about it to the floor manager once and he looked at me like I was some kind of alien. I understand its not a common question... But don't tell me you are a floor manager and you don't know what. Rtp is. Sometimes I feel like they act like they are dumbass on purpose.

What banks are blocking? I haven't withdrawn since last year, but I remember back in 2011? They banks here rallied together and were blocking everything. One of the pay methods, I cant remember who fought with them and they won. I'd have to google back.

Government sets the RTP % and regulation for each province and game (slot denomination generally changes each RTP), you should be able to find out from Lotto Quebec, OLG, BCLC etc...

It's odd the casino or game provider aren't obliged by law to show you this information in Canada.

I think the RTP can vary by as much as 12% which makes for a very different game / user experience. Apparently experienced slot players are sensitive to this and can spot the 'bad' RTP machines within as little as 40 spins. I wonder if anyone on this board has any experience of this?

As a slot attendant for years I'm calling BS on that haha. If so I knew a lot of experienced but clearly not so bright folks who played the same machine day in and day out.....

The information is available but like most government run things good luck finding it, I know in BC its between 90-93% based on denomination with the higher RTP being the larger denomination.

I really wish I knew who to talk with in regards to online gambling in Canada, or my province. It's depressing to see the Swedes, Finns and British play anything they want and we're stuck with mediocrity. It's as if everybody is trying to drive me away from gambling now. Maybe it's time to just buy another PS4 and call it a day.

I ended up making a withdrawal of $60-89 +$50 because I didn't wish to go bust again. A far cry from the $200+ I strive for. I have no confidence in these slots.

I am starting to believe a major crash is going to happen in this industry in the next few years.

I went to my local and it's just 80+ year old people there on St. Patrick's Day hogging all the machines I want to play. Double depression.

I still remain up in 2017, either $280 or $309.

You just need good gambling law and everything will be fine. Hopefully your legislators would be better than US pseudo-moral-all-about-money-from-land-casinos morons.

Just wanted to add that my ecocard credit card expired this month and when I tried to get another they said no more credit cards for Canada , when the physical cards expire they will not issue new cards. You can still keep the e-wallet to receive ,send and withdraw funds .

I know this is not the thread but just quick update from my trip.

One of the most insane lineups Sunday for the buffett, Like why would you line up for what could be 2-3hours for dinner? Moreso if you were going to the show that was on.:what:

The deli was a shit show as well. :( Was not feeling that great either so went back to the room for a bit.

Anyway was almost down to zero on my first machine but hit $80 so was able to play a bit on that, Once again WMS in live casino is the way to go, Won a toal of about $100 on Zeus 1000. Won a lil bit on one of my favorites Exotic Treasures and won the minor progressive on Tarzan for about $80.

Unfortunately most of that did not last long as you can imagine and yesterday was quite brutal. Was hitting feature's but nothing to give me umph to come out ahead.

Had to take detour as QEW got closed due to accident on the way home, It was a long day again and pretty tired but we tried to remain positive. Other than that wish I had a girlfriend to go down with seeing all the couples, sigh. :(

This made me run and check the dates on mine. Fortunately I don't expire until 2019 on the US one and 2020 on the Euro one. Like last year, I plan to have a substantial amount in Euros while visiting Europe again this June. It worked great and saved me a lot in fees during my holiday.

Although the ATM fees are high, particularly with foreign exchange as it's US dollars, the convenience of being to access cash nearly immediately is great.

Last year at the affiliate conference in Amsterdam, I had the opportunity to speak with members from the Ecopayz team, and they said there were plans to issue cards in more currencies (included CAD and AUD), so hopefully there is just a "gap" in services for you.

If OLG ran a site comparable to most online casinos I play at, I would certainly play more often. The slots are outdated and slow, and limited selections. 95% slots are not that attractive, but when you factor in that it's pretty much fee free to deposit and withdraw with your bank account, that offsets quite a bit of the cost of gambling online. Even if it's not all that speedy at paying, I consider 5 business days acceptable, as wire transfers often take that long, and incur large fees.

The charges on the prepaid cards...the vanilla mc ...they have all been refunded back to my cards...I had a couple of cards from last week and wanted to make sure I had used them all...the charges have been refunded...doesn't say refund...but for every 100$ there is 2.50 on the card...or 5$ for the 200$ card....today I used a card and it gave me the full amount...no charge

So was it mastercard that was doing it?
