I noticed 'The Phone Casino' on the latest weekly list of UK licensed casinos and appalled at the terms and conditions.

18. Standard Minimum Wagering requirement for bonuses: Unless otherwise stated when a bonus is awarded to you, you must play through any bonus 200 times (i.e. total bets must be 200 times the bonus amount) before any amount of the Bonus is eligible for withdrawal. The maximum withdrawal amount from any bonus win is limited to £200.

--

When checking with support, they offer £1000 free on your first 5 deposits, but you are still limited to a max win of £200 after 200 times wagering.

And best of all you can run up huge debts on your mobile phone by depositing by SMS!

Well that has to be the worst terms I've ever seen and I've only been gambling for three years or so. Laughably shite and I feel sorry for anyone stupid enough to sign up there! I mean the worst wagering I've seen is 100x but this just takes the biscuit. These clipjoints must have a pretty low opinion of slot players, almost as if we just want to throw our money away because we're too eager to bother reading the smallprint!

Speechless for once :(

200 x times :what: who on earth would be taking such bonuses and then the winnings are limited to 200GBP.

Always interesting to read updates about new casinos - please keep them coming!

About "Phone Casino" - just utter rubbish - had to check via VPN to access the page and really nothing one would ask for nowadays.

Just thought I would post something up, having now seen this thread (and after playing there!).

Opened an account as I had £10 sat on my Skrill account to play with and thought I would try somewhere different. Simple to open the account at The Phone Casino, sent docs off (driving licence and utility bill) and all verified in matter of minutes. Deposited £10 via Skrill and didn't opt for any bonus, but saw that £10 was added in the balance, but not yet playable (presume as I had a cash balance).

Got lucky on a few slots playing minimum stakes and in no time my withdrawable balance was up to £130.33 (£140.33 inc bonus). Tried to withdraw and only options were via card or bank transfer. Had to register a card and deposit £3 to verify it in order to do a withdrawal, but bank transfer was minimum £100 and they call you up as can't input details online.

For some reason my account was locked for withdrawals, so e-mailed them with a screenshot. Within minutes they had replied back saying it was passed to their technical team and a few moments after that, I could lodge a withdrawal via card (would have preferred Skrill though) for £100.

A few nervy moments thinking I would get shafted somewhere, but overall the problems dealt with quickly and very very quick customer service replies!

Now to wait a few days to see if the withdrawal goes through after being accepted!

At least it's not 200x bonus AND deposit :p

True, £10 deposit plus £10 bonus is what, £4000 wagering?!?!?! Then capped at £200 limit for withdrawal!!

This is one reason I don't like taking a bonus, mainly as they aren't really a bonus just a contract with them to play until you have lost it all!

Haha,

What they also don't make clear is that if you don't make a deposit between bonuses, the 200X WR carries over; i.e. even if you zero out the bonus without meeting the WR, whatever WR you had remaining stays, so if you were £1000 short of the WR and receive another bonus, you have to meet the remaining WR of your previous bonus and also 200X your next bonus, and so on and so on. This keeps accumulating with each and every bonus, unless you make a deposit; I think I had over £90K to wager at one point lol! You can check this in the Cashier section if you click on Balance and "You can see your wagering requirement here". So it's basically pointless that they keep giving free spins/bonuses :lolsign:

so wait trying to figure out if i got this right. You could deposit 200, get a 100% bonus (another 200) and have to wager like 40k, which is awesome on its own, but... even if you do manage to complete such a ridiculous wagering req, you couldnt cashout more than your initial deposit?

how on earth are these people even allowed to get a license?

edit: or even better, if you deposit 300 and take a bonus, you cant cashout more than... 200? And just when i thought ive seen it all :p

So ridiculous ... we all know how terrible it is but newbies might not even know to read the T&C's or understand them . Not everyone will bother of course if they are not experienced at all with online casinos . Seems like blatant exploitation/scam

Got to chuckle.

My £10 deposit to try them out has just resulted in withdrawals totaling £175 - thankfully without touching the bonus!

But they have also shot themselves in the foot as you are allowed 3 free withdrawals per month, then they charge £10 per withdrawal thereafter. Not so friendly to low rollers.

Have to say again though, their customer service response times and helpfulness is spot on. Very efficient so far!

Yes. And if you don't make the WR; say you only get through 20k and receive a free spins bonus, win £50 from those, you then have to wager the remaining 20k from your original bonus PLUS 200X your free spins winnings, so 30K in total; and if you bust out before reaching that, whatever WR is left carries over on top of WR of all future bonuses - until you make a deposit

thats not a very likeable bonus structure :) :D

Likewise. I rarely take bonuses (although I'll batter through a freebie occasionally) for this exact reason. I deposit my own money, play what I want, and deposit when I want. Keep it simple

'Sticky bonus'?? Rogue as they come. This place needs a CM warning, not because they are criminal (quite) but they're just plain shite.

I've always said this about The Phone Casino !! This is the reason why I left them.. Probably one of the first casinos I excluded myself from !!

It makes it worse when you're only allowed to play their games which seem to be fixed to THEIR liking ?!! :eek2: I could be wrong but.. I was never able to wager on this site  And it wasn't just the wagering.. It was the gameplay too, how the spins were stopping and then it would start lagging :what:

Stay away !! :(

i think their bonus structure might have something to do with you not being able to wager your bonuses there

:D

I meant withdraw when I want. Why can't I edit the post? Is it a timeframe thing? Never noticed before.

Quick update. Just received £250 withdrawal into my account today which was only requested 2 days back (which was also when account was created).

Happy so far, especially as £20 deposit yesterday resulted in a £410 withdrawal soon after!!

Ok, WR seems awful, but personally I have never had so many bonus rounds or features on various different slots in such a short period of time at a casino. Every slot so far has yielded a bonus round with minimal play time, to include 4 Wild Desires on IR, but only 3 bonus rounds in the same time!

Bad things to say? Well, obviously the bonus WR and from what I have seen, a £10 charge if requesting more than 3 withdrawals a month. However, I am happy paying the £10 fee on my latest withdrawal given the profit element on my side!

Doesn't ladbrokes have this "sticky" bonus wagering as well ? I remeber once I had £3000 in my account from a £50 deposit and then got told I had £25000 wagering to complete from previous bonuses . Maybe I was supposed to manually close them each time but I'm not sure..

i think their bonus structure might have something to do with you not being able to wager your bonuses there

:D

Not anymore buddy  I know a bad site when I've got nowhere on it

x200 wagering ?? Would it be anyones cuppa tea with wagering requirements like that ?! :eek2: Like theres not 100's of other casinos that only have x20-x50 lol

I actually had an email with only x5 wagering the other day but I couldn't take that offer on as they refuse to accept my ID :puke:
Would have been nice though
