Hi All

I am a bit addicted to online blackjack.

Namely, the computerised ones.

I lose every time.

EG - Just deposited £25 at betat. Lost 10 hands in a row, I get 21, they do too etc. I get 20 they get 21 from a 2.

I get two 10s, they have a 6.

I split, 20 and 20 they get 21. FML

This happens to me all the time, i do not know why I play..

Is this format totally fixed? Can anyone recommend another way..

BJ online is a streaky thing. I made some years ago 4500 with a 200 deposit but I was very lucky. Make sure that your bet is not more than 1/100 your deposit and raise your bet if you have a lucky streak.

That`s all I can tell you. If you want a long playtime play live dealers :)

Well. as a rule. I wouldn't be the anchor in a multiplayer game as you may get smacked..but that is just me...or even not an anchor.;)

As a rule do not split 10's.

Ok

haha I am so confused.

I have seen so many videos online where ppl always split tens on a 6 and win!

But I guess it makes sense..

Outside of that though, I am having HORRRIFIC luck

A 6 sucks when the dealer shows it. If you hold two tens, hold.

It is a complex game because if you are in a multiplayer game the idea is that the 'table' against the dealer. The table has to try and play as many 'faces' to out the dealer. If all players are on the same page. then it can be a great game.
If it is just you and a dealer, it is not one I would play.

Out of interest

What would you do in this situation?

I have 12

They have 12?

If I hit I always bust.

If I stand I always lose.. :eek2:

I wouldn't bother with the computerized blackjack version of Microgaming nor NetEnt. I'm sure they reach the advertised RTP over a million hands.
But 95 outta 100 times you'll fail to even double up your deposit from my experience. It just seems extremely difficult to win during a session, let alone getting ahead. The wins just frequently seem to happen when being down in a session to allow you some playtime, while throwing you a bone every now and then, although it never seems to last long.

The constant feeling of never being 'comfortable', even when you have 19, 20 vs. dealer's 4, 5 or 6 or when doubling down with 10, 11 vs. dealer's 4, 5 or 6, makes it a game I can absolutely not recommend. You're better off playing live blackjack at an online casino.

Then I haven't even mentioned the horrifying experiences I had when raising the betsize substantially. I think it's a major fail that these big software companies can't even create a card game that reflects the real land based version in an accurate way. A total jaw dropping experience most of the time.

YES

I feel the same.

I am a bit strange in that I can find the live version annoyingly slow.

But whenever I have 11, I double down and get 12. Literally every time on the netent, realistic etc.

Ok, I am done with those. Live it is.

@ Casino2014man find yourself a basic strategy that matches the rules for the BJ you are playing.

^ This. You wouldn't believe the amount of hostility I've seen at blackjack tables in B/Ms towards other players. I tend to stick to the general game strategy when other players are involved as I don't want to hurt another players chances of winning, but geez some players just take all the fun out of it. But on the other side I have seen players who are very nice about it, and try to help new players learn to play, and explain why they should or shouldn't play a hand whatever way.

There are some great online casinos like Mr Green and Unibet for instance where the min. betsize is only 5 euros per hand at the live blackjack tables. The game might be much slower, but in my opinion much more enjoyable. There are even "London" roulette tables (not to sure about the BJ) which have UK dealers active to keep you entertained.

On the contrary to computerised blackjack, I actually do have profitable sessions every now and then. But of course losing streaks in live blackjack also happen, I remember losing 1K in like 15 losing hands in a row.

Which version of blackjack are you playing? I've forgotten so many of them but in standard (A) (EU) I don't think this hand is possible. The highest initial face card the dealer would have would be a 1/11. Then you make your hit / stand / surrounded / double / spit, etc., decisions from there. Not sure how the dealer would have drawn to 12 while you still also have a chance to draw a card. Maybe I misunderstand, and then again it's been a while since I've heavily played different versions.

Owch..

Yeah.. I had a bad day today, lost £200 via computerised between Guts, Skybet, Mr Green, Betat.

Literally lost 90% of hands.

I know you can be unlucky but I have been pretty peeved today

Blackjack Verite. (sp?)

I bought the CD years ago, not sure if it is still a valid BJ instructor?

It tested all aspects of your BJ play at all casinos and different play games.Atlantic city, different shus, etc...

I always try to help out folks at the table that need it and want it. If they ignore the advice then I would not complain, I would simply get up and change tables.
I usually stick to basic strategy but sometimes you get a gut feeling and do something different. I would NEVER split 10's. If someone does get mouthy and obnoxious; as they do at times, I will tell them to shut up and mind their own business. It's my money and I'll play it however I want. If you don't like it move.

Whenever I see someone split 10's I offer no advice at all. I would simply get up and move. You are destroying a PAT hand because your greedy. No logic in the world will make any sense.
