Immortal Romance... the worst win on a feature?

Hello everyone,

I'm wondering who else here plays Immortal Romance? I had $650 in winnings and decided to give max betting a shot ;)

I've been playing a lot of Immortal Romance on Practice Play and actually rather liked the game, reminded me very much of the popular land based slot San Choy Doa. Seemed to pay good on Practice Play as well.

So Immortal Romance was my game of choice to max bet on...

HUGE MISTAKE!!

Got on Immortal Romance playing $3.00 - $5.40 a spin... it's gambling after all.

Not winning much on the base game just getting allot of lagging and near hits was relieved to get the feature betting $5.40... i ended up winning less than $15.00 that's less than three times my total bet :eek2: wow don't spend it all at once

What I'd like to know is, have other forum members found that to be a regular occurrence on Immortal Romance? Has that happened to anyone else before? :what: Below is a screen shot of my feature...

You played max bet on (arguably) the MG slot with the highest variance. Less than 3 times bet for a feature is not common but is not rare either.

Interesting... Well, all the same I'm going to switch to a different casino (have been using Jackpot City) that dosent use Microgaming software. I'm starting to gather from what I've read that streakiness is common for Microgaming casinos?

I don't have much intention of withdrawing unless the win is over the $2000.00 mark, I'll end up loosing the money playing the slots anyway. So really wasnt to phased by this, just shocked.

Playing $5.40 on a $650 balance is risky. You either hit or bust quickly. You need to give yourself 200-300x the spin capacity - $1500 on $5.40 is kinda OK on a High Variance game like this. Getting anywhere between 5x to 20x is common occurrence on Immortal Romance.

It also boils down to luck - You could hit big within your first 100 spins.

I feel better knowing that :) Just so shocked after how the game played in practice mode compared to real mode at Jackpot City. In practice mode it generally seems to be wins galore  Would have been okay with 20x but $25.00 is ridiculously low. What are some good Microgaming slots to max bet on?

Are there any Microgaming slots that have different spin features compared to just 3 or 5 times you're bet? Apart from Thunderstruck 2 (which i don't like) or Immortal Romance, like More Chillies with four game screens or Wheres the Gold where you can choose you're wilds or Tiki Torch where symbols turn wild. I have to say that's the only thing about online slots that turn me off them, they just all seem to feel the same. I know I saw one that reminded me of Sweet Hearts 2 where five scatters can come up three times, but i cant find the game.

Actually, you won less than ONE times your bet:
You got $10.80 for hitting the 3 scatters before the free-spins even started. Those free-spins only added $3.42...!

As a matter of interest, which of the free-spin features did you pick?

Are there any Microgaming slots that have different spin features compared to just 3 or 5 times you're bet?
Virtually ALL free-spin features on all slots have the potential to pay out ZERO (or very close to it). But similarly, most also have the potential to give you a very big win as well. That's a choice you have to make before you start playing.
You could go for a lower variance slot where the chances of good free-spins is better, or a slot with a picking bonus instead, or both.

A couple of MG slots have a "bonus win" added to every free-spin so that you never get £0. Can't think of all of them off the top of my head, but Cashanova is one for sure.

Try something like Glory of Rome - that's a nice low variance slot with a feature which combines free-spins with a "pick a win" - you would have to be mega-unlucky to get a < x10 win from the feature on that.
Or Gladiator which gives 100 free-spins (Don't be fooled by that though - it's still very low variance).

Hi,

I got the Wild Bats feature... and that's terrible, I have never had such a low paying feature on a max bet. Yeah all features do have the potential to pay out ZERO but that hardly ever happens, and certainly not to me on a high bet. Yes slot features can either loose or win big (the chance i took), but that payout was just terrible. Shocking!

I meant like with free spins, like instead of just times-ing you're win by 3 or 5 they have a different feature, like where you need to collect things for a bigger win, the Secret Admirer game is a good example of this and also a take off of Sweet Hearts 2. Otherwise the features are just a bore, i like fun features. Similar to the Immortal Romance features just not Immortal Romance after that little episode ;) Are there any Microgaming features that are similar to the Wheres the Gold feature by Aristocrat?

I've won $200 off a $1.00 bet at land based casinos quite a few times... would that even be possible at an online casino? Is this very common with the Microgaming software?

P.s. Should I stop comparing land based slots to online slots? They seem to be in two totally different categories.

This must be the most strange question I have read in this forum:eek2:
Have you even noticed the Winner screenshot thread?

LOL... i've heard about it but never actually looked at it

I'm gonna head on over there now.

Seriously though $15.00 on a $5.40 bet is a common occurrence?

No more than land based slots. Both types of slots are just computer softwares that are run by a Random Number Generator with a preset RTP.

You have to start reading up on things:D
It's more common than huge winnings, but you'll never know when it happens.

Here is a link to my highest win. You can imagine what it would have been if I had been betting $5.40 instead of $0.90

Yeah i know... and omg!

Nice one :D

Exactly why i like betting higher lol, trying to catch something i'll actually want to withdrawal :p

I still seriously think that a win that small though is crazy bad though.

Well I've never played "Where's the Gold" - so I have no idea what the feature on that actually does.

Here's an MG suggestion for you though: Tomb Raider - Secret of the Sword
It has more different features than you can shake a stick at!
1. Supa-Mode - randomly awarded (usually super crap, it must be said)
2. Rolling Reels Free-Spins (Like on IR & TR2 - only without changing the reel-strips)
3. Global Adventure Bonus, which includes all of these things:
3a. Pick a win
3b. Win all
3c. All wins x2
3d. Shoot the discs for $
3e. Collect the Sword pieces
3f. Shoot-out with Amanda for an extra life (Not skill-based, unfortunately)
3g. Extra Bonus for collecting all 5 pieces of the Sword.

Despite all that, it is still quite a low variance slot IMHO, so large-ish bets are fairly safe.

Here's one of my best wins on it:

That's awesome! How much were you betting?

Also here's a link for the Wheres the Gold bonus, basically at the beginning of the feature you choose a character (there are six) and this determines how many free games you get and how many symbols turn to wilds (you can get up to three). Then this is what happens...

I'd like to play a game similar to this one online, but can't play this exact one as I'm from Australia (you can play it at Bet 362).

ahh one of my favorite land based games  Not Microgaming but a game that reminds me of Where's The Gold is Paydirt on the RTG software especially the "Strike It Lucky Feature".

I cannot think of a Microgaming game that is similar (brain is not with it atm, damn flu)

Immortal can be a money drainer but as a High Variance slot she can also throw you some sweet wins.

$3 bet if I remember correctly (may have been a $6 bet which makes it look worse :eek2:)
Imortal romance.jpg

The thing you want to hit is something decent in the "Wild Desire" feature but I say good luck to you if you manage it :D in all the years playing Thunderstruck II and Immortal I have never hit more than 2 wilds in those features.

Yeah, i just really wanted to win something decent, like what you did  What an awesome win! :D can you imagine that on $5.40 errr  lol!

I'm never playing that game ever again lol!

Yeah Wheres the Gold is my favorite machine. I would also love to find a game like this...

You have the choice of 30, 15, 8, or 4 free games. You get an 88X multiplier when you choose four free games. Pretty easy to get allot of money on this machine but allot of people are scared of choosing only four spins. Another game on Bet 365 but I can't play there, sucks!

I'm going to find a decent online casino to play Play Dirt, got any ideas for the Lucky 88 game?

Ah yes another favorite of mine, used to win some good cash on this at pubs and clubs and always played the 4 free spins x88. Everyone always went for the higher free spins :what: I usually always take the lesser free spins with the higher multipliers eg. 5 free spins on "King of Asia" aka (choy sun doa) and 10 free spins on "5 Dragons".

Strike it Rich? cannot say I know that slot.

I was looking for Strike it Rich and couldn't find the online version lol! I meant Play Dirt, I want to play that game now.

Yeah I'm the same, you see people thinking they won a big amount on the higher amount of spins, when they most likely would have won a HUGE amount on the four spins. I'm the same, highest multiplier every time, if i loose it's gambling, if i win i play higher stakes... Everyone's going to loose the money playing slots sooner or later so may as well enjoy the rush :)

See these are the games i wish Microgaming had similar versions of. Would be awesome. I'd play all the time

If you're looking for big win potential this could be an option as well (They now chanced the name of it to "Hearts and Tarts".
Should warn you tho, that these are extremely rare, as it is very high variance. If you take this one on, watch your bankroll ;)

This is something i'd try on low bets like 30 - 60c changing bets every now and then. I love stacked wild games but know they don't always love me lol

Congrats on you're big win

:p this is how you should have also approached Immortal Romance until you got a feel for it.

I thought I had a feel of it from playing in practice mode... turns out the practice version is funkified

Oh well always next time, for the other one, not Immortal Romance, wouldnt touch that again  lol!
