Does anyone know if Casinos track your winnings or payout when you use your player cards? I'm really curious to know because I don't want them to know how much money I win or leave with when I am done...

The answer I got, when I asked if they tracked my winnings, they told me that a pit boss, just checks to see how much I'm betting, on average, and plugs that into my card. It also tracks length of play but, according to this pit boss, not how much you actually win.

Casinos don't report Black jack winnings to the IRS. There is no way they can track winnings to be 100% accurate. A slot machine is locked up and reported on any single win, or bonus round at $1199.

Most casinos do attempt to track your wins and losses, not for reporting, but for their own information. As you have probably noticed when you start at a table the dealer will normally try to get a players card from you, and then the pit boss will come over to the...
I would think that they do I played a lot at land based casinos and you can get a year end statement,so I would think that they track everything with the card you also get comp's based on your card being used if I'm wrong on my thoughts then hopefully someone can chime in.

They most definitely do, I have been a long time Caesars player (total rewards), I had dinner with my casino host last week in Vegas and asked him the very same thing because I was recently invited to Seven Stars tier from Diamond but had a huge year in Vegas in 2016, I think its their way of giving to get back, they track everything.

Most casinos do attempt to track your wins and losses, not for reporting, but for their own information. As you have probably noticed when you start at a table the dealer will normally try to get a players card from you, and then the pit boss will come over to the computer to put in your info and buy in, then they will start putting in your bets. From time to time they will take a quick glance at your stack and try to calculate your chip stack. Then whenever you cashout the pit boss will come over to record the amount your taking.

So again the tracking is not for reporting processes, but for the casinos knowledge. Of course the casinos want to know if your not afraid to give them some money. Losses will also have an impact on comps and offers along with your average bet size and play time.
