I have been trying to purchase it online but the site is crashing. I am going to keep trying -- $1B -- now that is a life altering win!

Would you really, really want that much money though? The publicity will be such that there is no way you could keep it quiet and everyone will want a slice. Dangerous territory IMO. Surely it would be better to win a "normal" one that no-one else pays much attention to.

I'll take my chances Simmo. I would live in Portugal for a while (maybe Italy too seeing as I speak the language). US Feds take 30% off right away.

Yes Weesie -- I only found out myself that we can purchase these tickets. It was on the radio yesterday. Apparently Europe can purchase as well.

6 of the 44 states that offer it allow you to collect in secret. The others allow you to set up a company, then collect thru company name, so you can remain anonomus

Yep bought 2 and nada:lolup:But wow $1.3 billion! Now that,s a whole lot of money.:DI can just imagine what the tax man will do with just 1 winner at that much money? But even if they take 50% It,s still a hell of a lot of jingle.I could play with a $1,000.00 deposit and play for the big win,s No bonus of course.Peace Out! Out Of The Mist! shewoff

I saw this on the news where I live in Australia, no-one won the jackpot in the U.S so now its something like $1.3 BILLION DOLLARS ($1.85 Billion Australian Dollars !!!!!)

OMG that is just an insane number - here in Australia we just had a $70 million powerball and that was considered quite huge. If I have $1.8 billion AUD I might be able to buy the whole of Tasmania lol.

I wish I had some relatives in America so I can send them some money to buy me a ticket but then again if they ever won I'm not sure I would ever see them again lol.

Good luck to those participating!

I am a gambler, but that powerball is one ticket that doesnt boil my blood. I don't get it. Chances of winning is one a to many digits to even bother with. When I tell ya I play online for entertainment value I mean it! There is no entertainment value for me in the powerball. My parents go crazy with it. My dad starts in on all the things he wants to do with the money he wins and has every dollar accounted for as if! Then when he doesnt win which is 2x a week....he gets all bummed out. He actually has the scenarios of what he would do if....I tell him its not healthy for him because he gets so upset over not winning.....He says but what about the day I do win? I tell him at his age ( hes almost 90) he would drop dead of a heart attack if he won.

Hi Stevedoo. I believe the best site for this is thelotter.com. The other sites look kind of fishy

Thank you. The website is temporarily out due to high volume. I'm gonna try early in the morning....this lottery has garnered so much media attention it will probably get as high as 2 billion if no one wins it this week. 1.3 billion usd is 1.8 billion Canadian. Not a bad dream.....

Just got a free entry on a site called Lottoland for signing up.
Its betting on the outcome but it says you get the same prizes as if you bought a ticket.
Its UKGC registered, and its free so sod it.
No commitment after you have used the ticket

I'd gladly throw away $5 or so for such a monster jackpot... but I live in a sanctimonious state where gambling is illegal ... and I'm not driving a 70 mile round trip to the state line (into Georgia). So... no... no chance for the mousey. :(

Good luck to those playing!

Multilotto.com

I would recommend this site to play the Powerball.
They also offer free spins no deposit required on their casino slots from time to time.

£960m wow, I'd create my own online casino and offer everyone £100 no deposit with x1 wagering and no max cashout.

I can also suggest and reccomend you use well known EuroLotto dot com website. It is from well established Betsson Group so no problems there. Unfortunately they do not allow UK but allow many other countries. I think you might be more safe using them than "RipOff Lotterdotcom) Reason I say that is the amount they charge for buying the tickets (price of them) Also I am not really sure about Multilotto. (PS ticket price at EuroLotto site is only €3.50 so not to bad compared to thelotter and other ripoff sites or scam sites)

But I would not suggest anyone to chase a win in this at all. Better wait for a bigger jackpot in your own country and play that. As Seriously what would u spend over 1 Billion Dollars on?? Just winning 10 million dollars would do you for life. It is just all this hype because it has reached this astronomical height/amount. There is a reason and the reason is your chance of winning 1:292 201 338 YES chance is 1 to 292 million :p

Bought 40 with power play for some friends in Canada and over nighted them today , hope they hit , me , I just bought 18 , will throw one hell of a party and remember my friends if I were to win , wonder if they win if they would remember me.................Hum:D

Someone in my town was on the news and they pooled 5K and bought as far as it would go , no powerplay:what:

Time for a Powerball winner from Tennessee , just say'n:)

Thank you for the EuroLotto mention PaaskeDKnowUK! Everyone is going nuts to play for this Powerball jackpot now, we've had a real flurry of new members - it's really awesome to see the excitment build across the world! I should mention we're not part of the Betsson group though; we're part of the Cherry.se group (public listed company in Sweden, around since 1963. Cherry actually used to own Betsson, hence these occasional confusions!).

We pride ourselves on offering a completely safe and secure way to play for these mega jackpot amounts - giving players who can't enter because of geographical restrictions a chance to play. As some of you already mentioned - what we actually do is take a bet on the outcome of the draw. We use hedging mechanisms; Insurance via credible underwriters (such as Lloyds), ILS (Insurance linked securities) and in some fringe cases real lotto tickets to cover our risk in a 100% secure way.

There are other advantages of EuroLotto, such as never losing a paper ticket (can you imagine  !), being able to subscribe to particular jackpots, managing how much you spend etc. And we also offer a full portfolio of the top casino games from Yggdrasil, Netent, Microgaming, Nyx etc. so there is something for everyone.

We wish everyone who plays the BEST of luck - the odds are long but hey, someone, somewhere, WILL end up with a life changing win - and as the old saying goes, you gotta be in it to win it.

If you guys would like to play for a $1.4 Billion jackpot; here is the link to

. The first tickets you buy come with a money back guarantee if you don't win, and minimum deposit is only €2. So if you fancy a punt, there is really no better time

We're currently in the Baptism by Fire here at Casinomeister too, so any feedback is welcome!

Once again, GOOD LUCK!

Helen

p.s THANKS CASINOMEISTER :)

Not available in Canada?

Just tried to sign on Helen of Eurolotto but Canada does not appear to be an option. Any future plans to include Canada?
