Seems a bit odd that some of you guys can play at VS, while others can't...
Maybe you should try asking the rep what the deal is there?

Yeah it is strange. I have been seeing that some can still play and others can't. I did ask via chat at VS and was told that gradually they will be restricting the Aus players but until then I could play as normal, but straight after that chat, I couldn't play anymore!

Just a thought on why some players can play and others can't .... just my theory...

I am wondering if the players that have been allowed to continue are those with a deposit option such as Neteller or EcoCard or similar.

I did receive notification that us Aussies are no longer allowed to withdraw to bank accounts, credit cards etc so that is what makes me think that only players with the above options are still permitted.

With regard other good places for us Aussies to play, I also like Lincoln Casino and LibertySlots Casino. I have played there for years with no problems ever.

I took a 12 months break from VS (due to end in April next year) as it has been the unluckiest casino I have played at and thought a few months away might change that luck.

Probably the worst decision I could have made, now that most of the reputable casinos have withdrawn from the aussie market.

However I did chat online with them a few days ago, and they assured me that once my TAB period has ended, I will be able to re-open my account and play, assuming there are no changes to their policy regarding Australia.

It will be interesting to see what actually happens once I do try to open the account - just hoping against hope I don't fall into the 'not allowed' category.

Currently I play at Slotsmillion, FairGo and CasinoMax - the latter two are RTG, and Slotsmillion has an interesting mix of some very good providers with very interesting games (e.g. Red Rake, Pragmatic, Booongo, Blueprint, Yggdrasil, Leander etc.), although the list seems to change from day to day. Definitely a casino worth trying, IMHO.

Only certain banks have applied this sanction, such as ANZ, although I believe others have/are considering banning credit cards from use with gambling merchants (Citibank, BNQ to name two). I am not sure what their position is on debit cards though.

I bank with NAB who do not (currently) have any restrictions on the use of debit cards. No idea about credit cards as I would never use one for funding my gambling. In fact, my personal view is that credit cards should be banned from use with gambling, as that is effectively borrowing money that could lead to serious debt, depending on a gambler's mentality.

I heard a lot of good comments about CasinoMax, I haven't signed up there yet as I am waiting for Netteller to be active which will be soon.

Fair-Go is a very good casino, signed up and verified no cashouts as yet but my friend has with no problems

I really like House of Jack as they have Play'n Go, Quickspin and Betsoft games. I have cashed out a few times and they don't pay slow either, actually payout was quicker then I thought

Casinomate is the same as House of Jack not bad at all

SlotsMillion is another but a lot of games have disappeared lately

Sadly there is not much for us out there but I am keeping an eye out for more to come yet, hoping.
