Question for you then max? If that is the case what you said about new members posts need to be moderated and approved first, then how is it that accounts that signup and spam get through?

Doesn't make any sense to me?

I mean I have managed forums many times over the years and I know that when you enable that feature to approve new members posts for the first 5 posts, It affects all new members!?

As mentioned earlier in the week there is a bug somewhere in the recent version(s) of vB relating to new accounts that some clever spammers have found and are exploiting. vB won't step up to resolve it so for the time being we're stuck with it.

Yep - there is a flaw somewhere in the vB templates that is allowing this to happen with "some" accounts. We are able to nail about 80% of the spam before it gets through. This is a non-issue at the moment since we are getting ready to relaunch the forum in the near future with improved and more robust software.
