Iron Maiden will convert you!

Nope, trash metal just doesn't do it for me at all... just sounds like a din to me.

Being in the older generation, the 80's was "my" decade - and Iron Maiden the best metal band EVER took off.
I was fortunate to see Maiden in a small night club in Bristol, just after their first album came out and before they became famous mega-band. Awesome!

For anyone not in to Metal, I'm going to start converting you with the softest track they ever did - and still one of my personal favourites...

I'd say slayer is more thrash, but I understand what you're saying :)

Who could go past pantera? They're a classic in my books.

I guess you really like maiden :p I saw them a couple of months back. They had amazing stage props! It was unreal, although they aren't my favourite band they still put on a hell of a show

Also listen to this one by a band called Mushroomhead, great tune this one.

They are kinda like the new age faith no more.

OMG!!!

The Plot in you is a F*cking awesome band, the exact type of stuff I like. I went and had a listen to a few more of there songs, miscarriage was good.
First time I have ever heard of them mate as I have been out of the scene for a for a long while after having a kid.

Here is a heavy one you may like called "bleed" by meshuggah.

K V E L E R T A K! :notworthy

Are you norwegian Spiderlegz? If not, cool that people outside Norway also like this band. I was at a concert with them this winter at a local bar and it was amazing. Covered in sweat and beer when the concert was finished. :D

No Finnish, altough if I had to say the favourite "metal country" it would be Norway. Mostly BM from the '90s.

Kvelertak is cool in that way that you cant put them in to a single category and they still manage to sound good.

Awwww yeah I'm glad this thread is taking off! :)

It doesn't get much better than emmure IMO

OMG Bleed is insane, their drummer had to learn drums all over again in order to grasp this song! The kicks are..... out of this world. :notworthy:notworthy:notworthy

But then listen to the kicks in this at 1:08 haha. Nuts. :p

Wait for the 1:06 mark ;) flaming drumsticks. A crucial ingredient in any metal film clip!

And Dimebag :( sorely missed

Mate, I love my Tampora just as much as any heavy metal guy.

Have you heard Phils side project from a few years back, a band called "down".

Of course he has been in many others aswell.
