We are in the process of revamping the forum, and I would like to know what functionality you use all the time (beside the posting, searching, etc.), in case that any changes may impede your forum viewing pleasure.

Please let me know. And please feel free to use this as a wish list as well. :p

It's rare that we know what we are missing until it's gone ;)
I hope we will be able to tell you after too.

Can't really come up with anything special except the fact that I would love to still be able to be hidden.

Who? Where? What?

Was that a serious question? Only the moderators can see that I'm online or if I have read a thread or not.
There are many ho use that function, both amongst the members and the reps.

It is an options in the settings to be hidden or not depending on member status. Not everyone can I guess.

Can't really think anything that I'd need or use differently. So to me, the forum is working greatly ATM.

If I had to choose something, I'd change the search function. Probably not a feasible option thought. I just personally hate anything Google.

My most used function: New posts.

I'm not sure why anyone would need that facility. Although as far as members go, I don't think it matters that much one way or the other.

But I'm not sure I agree with reps having that facility. I think it can be important to see which reps have read which threads, especially if those threads pertain to their casino

Same here, although I would like it if new minion posts could be excluded from the new posts section as when someone posts a few at once, it gets clogged up with them.

Ditto. I hope it doesn't change TOO much :(

The search function is just about useless - I agree.
The results are not in any sort of date order - what we REALLY need is for the results to show threads with the newest posts first, going down to the oldest.

You can always see if they have been online that day, but as far as see if they have read something or not you can ask them.
It can be a huge job for some of them to be seen too much also, and if they feel they need the privacy then that's their business.
Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it.

Donnu but dont think this is possible now...but how about being able to set "Favorite threads" on top of Forums start page...instead of "new members" for ex. If I follow some slot threads and winnings screenshot threads I see them at startup to the left or to the right on the "latest post" sections... I dont wanna subscribe so for ex. "Show me the money" thread...and when someone post there it stays on "latest post" until enough post on other threads are posted so it dissapear from that list...and then I miss lots of screenshots if Im away for some days...or I have to scoll down a find the thread manually every time....
Wanna be able to mark certain threads to be shown ontop at all time on main page... Maybe a thread there get a different color if there is something new since last time I visited the thread... :)

The "invisible" thing is for most members - excluding reps and admins/moderators. :D

What about Meister Blogs and Meister Clubs? Calendar? etc.?

I wouldn't mind seeing a "LOL" button next to the: "Thanks" and "Like" buttons. And then, the person with the most LOL's receiving an award at the end of the year in the CM Awards. Some comments, posts, videos are really funny and the humor is good for the soul.

:D

The only thing I can think of is the search function. Get rid of google. And make it have its own search function that makes it much easier to find things.

The google one isnt great lol. And I can understand why you used it, For SEO reasons.

But I do see there is an advanced search function already. lol

I do not agree with that at all.

Cos that would mean a lot of trolls trolling great posts with *LOL* etc etc and abusing it too for that matter.

Another forum I use called digitalspy had like 5 different types of buttons for posts in threads. They had, Like, Dislike, Informative, Love, Funny, When they relaunched the forum onto a new platform. And as the weeks/months past. People was trolling users and abusing it and they removed the Dislike button first. Then the last week, they now removed the other 3 too. So the only one left now is the Like button.

I see your point. It's just that there are times when I find myself laughing so hard that I wish there was a LOL button :D

I think it's a great suggestion

I never want to see any negative button but all that is positive must be good. I certainly would have loved to have it in the white rabbit thread last night:D

How about prohibiting newbies from pm-ing experienced members? Or even accessing your profile?

As much as I want the protein supplements, I really don't need the gambling guides or Viagra. No really, I don't need the Viagra at all

Don't need the list on the left telling me what new members have joined either - have that replaced with 'Top 5 active threads' or some shizz.

The search function is terrible and needs a major overhaul. Also, I'd like to see who's birthday it is somewhere near the top of the page, as opposed to the bottom. It's far too easy to overlook and miss VIP birthdays :thumbsup:

Well said KK, exactly the same thing I was going to suggest.

Also (but I don't know if this is possible), when presenting a new casino (situations like BBF and such), to have mentioned the markets (Countries) allowed to play.

:D

If such an award were to be created, we'd be seeing a 12 month long "postoff" between Mr. D and Goatie to see which of the two outpuns, outjokes and outwisecracks the other.

Then the top posters would look something like this....

Bit late to the party, as I only saw this thread today.

Search in date order - 100% agree thats needed, nothing worse than searching for a common phrase and having to go through 10 pages before you find what you are looking for.

I wish the reviews were looked at a little more, I know its a lot of work, but when there are numerous complaints it would be good if the reviews got a warning placed on them, not saying change the review completely, but, as an example, look at Dr Vegas, there are still complaints about extremely slow payouts, this has been going on for at least a year, could a warning not be popped into the review, just a line saying 'forum members are reporting withdrawals are taking 7+ days at times'. Not picking on Dr Vegas but there have been other cases too, like GUT's recently for example with their poor customer service, I know that reviews been updated now though.

Also, this is extremely annoying to me

As is the social media panel on the other side, theres been loads of times I've went to click over there and hit it by mistake.

Maybe to prevent the spam, put all new member posts into the moderation queue, even if it requires an extra couple of mods?

Apart from that there isn't much else I would change, but the search to me is the most important :)

Good points - the search will be awesome. So no worries about that.

As for adding warnings to review pages...were you aware as a Meister Minion member, you can tag threads and they will appear on the review pages? For instance tagging any thread with "dr vegas review" will cause that thread to appear linked at the bottom of the review page - right under the Casinomeister verdict.

And it's pretty much set up for "name-of-casino review". Try it out. Adding tags are located at the bottom of the page of threads.

Such a competition who put me off from attempting to post something funny and I don't need my ego stroked or dented
