Just wondering if anyone else has seen this before - I certainly haven't!

A few days ago I registered a new domain name... and in the next couple of days I got 20 or 30 e-mails from companies offering to help me set up the site, design, marketing, SEO, etc, etc...
WTF??? Like piss off you cretins!

I have registered dozens of domains in the past, but this is the first time EVER that this has happened.
Anyone else ever seen this?

Cheers,
KK

Yes, this happened to me too and I found that these fuckers grab your details by crawler in the time between you purchasing it (which immediately logs your info) and when your WHOIS privacy becomes effective. This occurs on most domain resellers who incorporate WHOIS privacy. It pissed me off so much I had to pay 9 quid to one site which despite me actioning WHOIS at the time of purchase still managed grab the details and put them in the public domain for days until I noticed. I was fuming at my domain provider naturally for this happening.

I had all the same e-mails no doubt from the same scum you have. I still get the odd one or two. You will soon start to get daily 'Satellite Internet' 'Wireless internet' 'Consolidate loans' unfortunately too.

Same thing happened to me,

There are about 500 people named Frank who want to help me with SEO and Building my Website....

Super irritating, first time this has happened to me too.

Have never used the privacy services before on domain registriation. Are they safe to use and doesn't make it look like you are hiding something if you hide your name and business address?

Avon Satellite Broadband spam me every day, opted out several times but never stops :(
